A-list Accessory: Marc Jacobs Bags

(Unless you live in a HOLE)...You have to know that Marc Jacobs isn't only one of the MOST sought after designers of our time, but also makes some pretty lust-worthy/show-stopping bags that nearly every leading lady owns. Recently spotted celebs are featured below with their Marc Jacobs beauts, in hand. The highly-coveted RD Gold Star has been awarded to cutie-pie Hilary Duff for her DOUBLE-BREASTED ensemble and bright/bold MJ 'Hudson' Bag. Nicky Hilton was also spotted sporting the same bag in black, classic but a bit blah. Marc Jacobs bags are something of a status symbol for us 'normals' due to the fact that months of "allowance" need-be saved to splurge on such a big "it" item! I recently had a girlfriend email me to confess her overwhelming splurge-urge as she just purchased a new Marc Jacobs 'Stam' Bag! Jessica said (no, not Stam!) that the bag is beyond UN-comfy to carry but she can't seem to put it down because a - she paid good money and b - she gets compliments GALORE, left and right! Can I just get a, "Oh the things we do for FASHION" in the house? Insert me promptly, in this category, too!

All you other lady-loves who are also a slave to some Marc Jacobs and his designing empire...READ THIS! Oh yes, it's true...this is from one of my FAVE women in the world, bless her lil' designer-lovin' heart! Others were indeed coveting her 'goods' that dreadful shopping day sooooo please take note: people actually have the mother-freakin' audacity to snatch these killer A-list Accessories from right under your nose! When sporting a Marc Jacobs Bag, you can never, ever, EVER be too careful!

On a lighter note, I'm sure my girl, Tiff, will receive a KILLER new MJ bag to replace her gorgeous black quilted version this Christmas season...but I'm def going to give her an awesome head-start to her Holiday shopping in the form of some speedy-savvy-stylin' below. My fave Marc Jacobs bags that are currently on SALE! Oh yes, it's the Holiday Season, a time for GIVING so I just want to keep you all well-informed as usual!

p to the s - the woman featured to the left of Hilary Duff below is Jennifer Meyer (aka: Tobey Maguire's better half) and she designs some of the LOVELIEST jewelry eva! Check it out HERE!

Project Runway: RD Gold Medal Awards for Episode 3 - Jillian, Kevin and Kit

I'm honestly OBSESSED with Project Runway. I love it, try not to miss it every Wednesday and I'm also not afraid to spend an ENTIRE weekend watching the marathons...pathetic, I know.

Last night Bravo aired the THIRD episode of my TOP/FAVE TV show, Project Runway...and the hub and me were once again, GLUED to the TV for another fly-by hour! This week's competition proved to be one of the toughest I've EVER seen in the history of Project Runway! Mission: Create a look for Tiki Barber to wear on the Today Show where he is a guest correspondent. Well, for those of you that know a thing or two about sewing...to create a suit (men/women's) is probably one of the toughest and most complicated looks to take on! Much to my surprise, soooooo many contestants 'went' for it! I was really impressed with their creations and have chosen the top three looks below.

The RunwayDaily hubby had some 'pull' for this particular post. He informed me of what he would actually wear (Kevin's Look) and what was just HIDEOUS (I'll keep that in the fam)! If all men only knew how CUTE we women think they look sporting wing-tipped oxfords, vests and perfectly fitting khakis they'd wear them 24-7! (RunwayDaily Disclaimer - this is our personal opinion!) Can I just get a pause, please...Ok, I'd like to ask all the avid watchers if they ALSO laughed out loud when there was a millisecond of a clip of strong-man Jack carrying Christian into the workroom in a BAG!?!??! Ahhhhh...Christian has stolen my heart and is my favorite extravagant personality for sure! Not to mention, he's also itty bitty enough to fit in a shoulder BAG and be CARRIED, love it!

Ok, ok and back to the post...sorry, I just can't help myself! The RD Gold Medal looks are below from Jillian, Kevin and Kit. Some speedy-savvy-stylin' is also attached! I've added some other combo choices and you, my love, need to make sure to NOTE that every single item is ON SALE! Yeppers...nothing more we women love than purchasing a killer suit for the man in our life only to have it be 50% off! No man-candy...Dads and bros are always needing some new preppy/sporty attire too...'tis the seaon! No worries, I've also included some 'eye candy' for you lady-loves out there too...as the models, this week, were all strappin' young thangs!

Fashion Week Frenzy: Tribal Revival - Tribal Inspired Trends

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.

We at Runway Daily want to make sure that you are the FIRST to know what's about to be IN and HOT! Make sure to click HERE to see all our previous Fashion Week Frenzys! We're always taking notes and can't help but notice all of the pieces popping up on our radar that have a tribal feel to them this season! Eccentric beading, contrasting fabric in different prints, aboriginal-looking inspired patterns and so many touches of nature and it's subdued AND bright color palette...designers were obviously having a sort of Tribal Tribute everywhere! This is, indeed, a tough look to 'get right.' Please do not pair it with your Minnetonkas, Uggs or Muk Luks...you might get it wrong and look like you belong on that new Caveman TV show as their new female counterpart! Keep it simple; sport one tribal frock or possibly TWO accent pieces. No need for anyone to mention to you that Halloween is OVER, how embarassing!

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you started. You might be surprised to find multiple pieces in your existing wardrobe that give off a tribal feel already. Pair these with skinny jeans and simple shoes. Tribal-inspired frocks are usually comfy and flowing and would look great paired with lace-up OXFORDS or booties and some great opaque tights. These frocks will all likely transition well into your spring/summer wardrobe as you can then pair it with gladiator sandals or nude colored flats too.

Can I please get a "CUTE" for the ASOS Petite Teardrop Print Chiffon Dress and Mix And Match Print Dress...golf claps for ASOS! Make sure you let your tribal inspired piece shine bright...don't let your accessories over-power your TRIBUTE, lovers!

Runway to Reality: Chloé - Fall 2007

So naturally, I love to watch and scour through photos of Runway Shows...but many times the looks are unattainable or quite frankly, don't cross-over well into everyday life. I'm here to show you looks that work GREAT in your everyday wardrobe at WAY WAY WAAAAY better prices!

Holiday Season is in FULL swing so many of you will bust out your fave LBD to wear to par-tays! I'm here to show you, via the Chloé Fall 2007 Collection, that adding some pops of color to your LBD will enhance it's sex appeal and trendsetting ability. Red, yellow and blue kicks and some killer accessories take the front seat and transform the most boring and unrecognizable LBD and launch the ensemble into a whole new style stratosphere!

I've added a few extra touches to the speedy-savvy-stylin' below; sweet vests, the officially 'in' knee-socks, sparkly clutches, a show-stopping cloche hat, striped tights and a fresh new spin on the corset belt to lure you in. Inspiration for steppin' out of your LBD box! Sport a look that others will remember and covet this Christmas Season!

Wardrobe Essential: Little Gold Gown

All that glitters is...GOLD!! I love me some gold gowns and wow-wee do I have some great looks and inspiration, just for YOU today! Seriously, celebs have been sporting this look for a few seasons now, as well as numerous Runway appearances...so what better time to jump on the bandwagon than this Holiday Season! Pair your gold mini with some opaque tights and cute heels, a la Lucy Liu and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Go all out GORGEOUS in a long gown like Cate Blanchett and Beyonce...they are just positively radiant on the red carpet. We've given the GOLD STAR of Style to the always trendy Lauren Conrad. Her strappy ankle-wrapped heels and pony-tail make the look fun and flirty...and dare we mention the length of her mini? Girls got legs, show them off!

I'm also totally loving some of the Runway looks below too. Look at the FRINGED dress (bottom right) at Behnaz Sarafpour...I've posted/told you before, fringe is in! The gold brocade is also eye catching via Elie Saab's banded waist dress (upper right) and at Burberry, in the form of a killer DOUBLE-BREASTED skirt-coat. So naturally, I've given you some great speedy-savvy-stylin' to get going on this trend. I'm totally lusting after the Fighting Eel Lola Dress in Gold Lame. How sexy and HOT is that for a Holiday Party? Just remember, my golden girls, 'tis the season to glimmer and shine bright! Gold gowns are a sure-fire way to stand out among a sea of LBDs!

Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Double Breasted Coats

So the Holiday Season has officially kicked off to a great start for us here at RunwayDaily! We hope you can say the same! And what does that mean for Holiday fashion? Well, personally for me...it means investing in a NEW, gorgeous, double-breasted coat! Why do celebs, designers and RunwayDaily have the utmost love for some double-breasted? I've got three quick words for you...NO BUTTON BULGE! You know when you see people wearing jackets that are too small and everything looks like it's about to POP out or maybe explode? Well, double breasted not only 'holds everything' in AND relieves any chance of 'button bulge' but you also look soooo very stylish and put together. It's perfect to throw over a cute mini-dress, tights and hot heels/boots for all of your Holiday soirees. You can also pair it with jeans and boots for a more dressed-down approach, a la Jessica Alba below. Your choices are truly limitless; color, cut, fabric, and length are all things to consider. Go classic black/navy for your first purchase, but then have FUN with it and branch out to other show-stopping colors! Personally, I have my eyes peeled for a precious number in the same blue that Kelly Osborne is featured in below...I'm tiring of all my coats lately. I've provided some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you as well...just to get your gears a crankin' and thinkin' because this is definitely a classic staple that everyone should have in their wardrobe! How cute is the Cole Haan version in green? Tres chic!

Project Runway: RD Gold Medal Awards for Episode 2- Elisa, Ricky and Victorya

Project Runway aired their second episode on Wednesday night and since I was truly in a tryptophan-induced coma on Thanksgiving Day (and I surely enjoyed it, my Boston girls), I decided to hold-off on this post and give my lovely readers a happy Friday present! My post of the top THREE looks from Episode two. As usual, the show didn't lack any drama but there was an incredible surprise guest...Sarah Jessica Parker! The contestants were given $15 and told to complete a two piece look for Parker's line BITTEN, sold at Steve & Barry's stores. Half of the designers sketches were chosen and then those winners had to choose a partner from the remaining contestants. My top three looks from those head designers were from Elisa, Ricky and Victorya...they were stunning and really just mesh well with the proposed BITTEN girl's style. So kudos to all these awesome budding designers...you'll just HAVE TO watch the episode to see who WINS! I've included some teenie-speedy-savvy-stylin' for you, below each look!

Suvi Koponen - love love love her STRIPED hoodie...black and white stripes are SO cute and in this case, do not invoke images of inmates here! Her killer center part and natural hair are also understated and chic.

BOTB - Belle of the Ball - 2007 American Music Awards: Alicia Keys, Jennie Garth, Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift

The American Music Awards brought out some gorgeously clad women for sure! Pictures are all over every flog (fashion-blog) sooooo there is no need to bore you with more. BUT, as usual, Runway Daily will give it's readers our opinions of which lady-loves deserved the supreme mark of BOTB (Belle of the Ball). Here are this years Belles...below, left to right:

Belles_of_the_ball_american_music_a

Alicia Keys radiated true beauty in a dazzling Giorgio Armani frock, killer strappy heels and subdued accessories. I love her natural hair and side cut-outs on her dress...smokin! This is one of the prettiest looks I've ever seen her sport!

Jennie Garth looked like something out of the sea in her bubble-hemmed blue-green beauty...her gold accessories are unexpected, as usually silver is paired, but the entire ensemble really pops against her gorgeous skin and party-pretty hair!

The ever-adorable Vanessa Hudgens receieved RunwayDaily's Gold Star of Style and is truly the AMA's Belle of the Ball...sporting a glittering Marc Bouwer mini and Rene Caovilla ankle-wrap sandals. Her teenie clutch and show-stopping gold cuff proves a timeless point..."All that glitters IS gold!"

The cutie Miley Cyrus also made top-marks for her bubble-hemmed frock as well. Her red strapless Nuj Novakhett minidress, Christian Louboutin pumps and Rebecca Minkoff clutch are age-appropriate perfection creating that wholesome teen-image that's made her famous!

Country cowgirl, Taylor Swift, stayed true to her roots in a killer haltered black satin dress and eye-catching black boots. We give her kudos for not dressing the 'expected' and creating a FUN look that allows some of her own personal style to shine through!

Kudos to all five ladies...you stole the show on the AMA red carpet this year! Golf claps all around! (More for Miss Hudgens though, wink!)

Style Inspired: Heath Ledger from Daughter Matilda Ledger

Heath_ledger_and_matilda_ledger_in_

Ok, so...I...couldn't...resist! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that always makes me think of FAMILY (love them)! A few days ago, I came across this precious picture of Matilda Ledger, sittin' pretty, on her dad, Heath Ledger's shoulders! It caught my eye becuase: A - she is precious B - is that not a pucker for Shiloh to reckon with and C - her adorable ACCESSORIES! A few days later, Heath was spotted around town in, dare I say, a SIMILARly enticing ensemble! We've posted on Purple Passion before...but this go round, it runs in the family!

************************

Miss Matilda:

1. Cute purple knit cap - "check"

2. Retro shades - "check!"

3. Killer gloves - "check!"

4. Hand-held goody (harmonica) - "check!"

Daddy Heath

1. Cute purple knit cap - "check"

2. Retro shades - "check!"

3. Killer gloves - "check!"

4. Hand-held goody (umbrella) - "check!"

************************

Soooooo, point taken, children don't only take fashion cues from their parents...the little tykes can be quite the trend-setters all on their own! Ahhhh...I really just LOVE this! Too darn cute! I'll start worrying if Heath shows up around town in polka-dot tights, though...but I promise to post the pic! Ha!

A-list Accessory: Celebs in Boots - Nude and Tan

No, no...get your dirty mind out of the gutter! Not here, my dear, will you EVER see NUDEY pics...just not my style! What then, are we talking about here? Boots, boots, boots! Celebs have been sporting boots in nude and tan shades, as of recent. I seriously have a pair of heeled tan boots and a nude flate pair that are rotated into my weekly ensembles with obsessive frequency so let me just say, they are a STAPLE for my fall and winter wardrobes. L-O-V-E them! But so many times everyone needs a little boot-to-the-bootie (aka - kick in the butt) to see what staples are current while also being a classic piece! Voila, a nude or tan boot! There is virtually NOTHING you can't pair them with. Finish off all your "Winter White" looks with these killer kick choices below and a stunning ensemble is a sure-fire definite (channeling Jessica Simpson stunning look in this previous post).

Gold Stars of Style were awarded to Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel below for their gorgeous Loeffler Randall flat boots...über chic and comfort isn't even a question. They are TOP of my LIST for personal Christmas Cravings! You MUST check out some serious steals and deals, below, via my speedy-savvy-stylin'! I must take a second to point out Hilary Duff's precous Minnetonkas below, upper right. "The most comfortable shoe you will ever own" - RunwayDaily's Mom. Laced-up and to the knee is also something I have my eyes peeled for this Holiday Season! And dare I forget, Britney Spears also made our layout! Though I'm as SICK of those boots as you are, they do fit this post category so I gotta give the gal credit for once...neck-down, she's lookin' acceptable, yall! All jokes aside...listen up, you need to get booted for sure! Just make sure it's nude or tan!

Real-Life Runway: Fergie in DSquared

Don't you just love some Real-Life Runway? I do. So I was chatting with the hubby last night and asked him what he thought of this look and his response, "In my mind, the celeb seems to always wear it better...some of the models are so scary looking to me and I just don't get it!" Ha, ha! Men are so funny! Soooooo, I'm sticking with the family on this one, but NOT because I think model Tanya Dziahileva is 'scary' at all, I actually LOVE her look...but because Fergie went oh sooooo short and sweet for the American Music Awards Show (RunwayDaily's Belles of the Ball for the AMA's coming soon). Fergie's showin' off her stems and the tighter fit of her mini also accentuates her ample bust ("sorry, Tanya"). Fergie's legs are something to be reckoned with and do...not...ever...need...to...be...hidden! Girlfriend knows how to work one of her BEST assets, right? Not to mention, her hair down, middle part, loosely pinned back (check out WhoWhatWear's coverage of this hair style is angelic-looking perfection for the seemingly tough lady-love Fergs HERE). I likey, I likey a LOT! So yes, RD's Gold Star for wearing the amazing DSquared halter gown with show-stopping glam goes to Miss Fergalicious! Golf claps, anyone?

I seriously love me some graphic T-shirts! You can get them EVERYWHERE, now...and I mean everywhere! The array and choices are limitless...the colors, styles, cut and weight of fabric are all at your fingertips. One of my fave all time tees has got to be this Rolling Stone T-shirt below. Jessica Alba, Nicky Hilton, Jesse Metcalfe and Jessica Simpson have stepped out sporting the BIG tongued T. Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Are you "Wellie" for the Rain? Celebs are Hunter(ed) Out!

Hunter Wellington Boots (aka: Wellies/Rain Boots) are known for their performance, durability and outstanding comfort. The brand has become legendary for hand-made perfection and have been in existence since 1856. Each of Hunter's Wellington Boots is made entirely by hand using skills perfected over almost 150 years. Impressive, right? Well, Wellies aren't only a staple in England, Scotland and Ireland...they've also been popping up on RunwayDaily's radar, as of recent.

I spent last night cozied up watching Helen Mirren sport her wellies proudly in the Academy Award Winning movie, The Queen. H&M and Marc by Marc Jacobs were frequented last week, by none other than ME, and chock-full of their rendition on this rain-wearing classic. I must say, I'm a bit brand-sensitive and choose to support Hunter brand Wellies, as their comfort and fit totally outshine the rest of the competition.

Check out the starlets who have been spotted in their Hunters below. Sexiest, by far, was Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith...H-O-T! Also, wellies were spotted on the Runways in Luella's Fall 2004 Collection and again in Fall 2006 for Lacoste. You MUST check out my speedy-savvy-stylin' (below) and see the massive array of designers who have added Wellies to their repertoire of classics; Cesare Paciotti, Michael Kors, Lilly Pulitzer, Burberry, Kate Spade, and Tory Burch...just to name a few. Your options are endless and colors/prints are plentiful, so weather the RAIN in style, my loves...and slip into some Wellies!

Fashion Week Frenzy: Celebs Fall Early for Winter White

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.

Appearing on the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 Runways is the staple color; WHITE! Honestly, I truly wear my white year-round. Replacing summer/spring bright colored flats and sandals with killer black/gray heels and boots for fall and winter fun, but the WHITE always stays put! Recently sporting my new white skinny jeans, I felt fresh and oh so stylish! I was under the assumption that I exuded a crisp, clean look! (Don't tell me differently!) Keep that "Tide Pen" handy though, as white is HARD to keep bright. Many celebs have stepped out in the last week sporting killer white frocks and ensembles...and it's only FALL! RunwayDaily's Gold Star is honorably given to the gorgeously Calvin Klein clad Ashley Olsen, très chic. So yes my loves, hunt for the perfect 'year-round' white piece that will compliment your wardrobe, always. I've done some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to give you a quick rundown of some classic whites to get pronto; button-up blouse, double breasted jacket, wide-legged pants (mentioned in this previous post) and all season frock. After acquiring all these then I give you permission to splurge on a statement piece!

CYEBT - Can You Even Believe This? Victoria Beckham Painstakingly Pink

Grrrr....why did she do this? My girl, my fave, one of the women I personally look to for fashion inspiration has made a serious MISTAKE here...what a fashion faux pas this is! At last night's 12th Annual Victoria's Secret Fashion show at LA's Kodak Theater, Victoria showed up in something that is hard to explain, and even harder to look at. But I gotta point out, my girl must be a reader because she also is showin' some bra...which is a bizarre new trend I mentioned in this recent post. As much as I keep saying this trend is FUGLY, I'm thinkin' we might just need to get used to it. Beckham is always such a ravishing, trend-setting and stylish celeb! This go-round, I've got to say, she just doesn't make the RunwayDaily 'cut' for her choice of ensemble...I'm sure tongues are wagging and well, her hot heels and cute brown pob at least are always a DO!
