Cap sleeve -
A small, short sleeve which sits on the shoulder, either forming a stiff cap or falling on to the arm to provide minimal coverage.
Ahhhh...I love me some capped sleeves! I truly feel like they are the ultimate feminine touch to any frock. They are flirty and fun. They show off a sort of sensuality because, dare I say, back in the days, we women had to keep our appendages hidden! Capped sleeves really do look better on a more slender arm, but layer a body-hugging, long-sleeved T underneath and you should be FINE, too!
Capped sleeves appeared all over the Spring 2008 Runway Shows at Akris, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Balenciaga, Viktor & Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld, featured above.
