Accessory Trend: The Double-Wrapped Belt

Dolce_gabbana_and_allessandro_del_2

Dolce & Gabbana and Alessandro Dell' Acqua both showed "double-wrapped" looks on their Spring 2008 Runways. Both grabbed my attention last fall and each look is very different, but all four are some great inspiration for incorporating this accessory trend into your everyday attire.

I wore a double-belted look a few weeks ago, purchasing an extra-LONG belt from my fave thrift store, and pairing it with wide leg jeans and over a cardigan. It was cute, trendy and really comfortable!

Still not convinced you're ready to try something new...look below! I stumbled upon the newest March 2008 issue of LUCKY Magazine and always-adorable Rachel Bilson is striking a pose in a double-wrapped belted look:

2229772975_707c36f57c_oxlarger_2

Bilson's look is a "cinch" (all puns intended) to emulate, as she has literally wrapped the belt around twice, and then tied it! I won't bore you with any speedy-savvy-stylin' as I think this is one task you can EASILY handle. You might even strike a jackpot in your brothers, dads, husbands or boyfriends closets!

Let me leave you with a teeny bit more proof that this accessory trend is about to be the next BIG thing! Below, my girls Katharine Power and Hilary Kerr from WhoWhatWearDaily, are here to show you "HOW TO" correctly wear the appropriate AND trendy ensemble when going for a job interview. Make sure to take a peek, in one of the ensembles, they DOUBLE WRAP a belt! Just click below to play the video and...get going, you need to be the FIRST to double-wrap your belt and watch as all your friends follow suit! All right, that's a wrap! (sorry, couldn't resist)

Personal Style: "Lunch with the Ladies" - à la Blake Lively

Blake_lively

So it's Wednesday/"hump-day" and what does that mean? Some of you may already have a FUN weekend lined up and for those of you that don't...call your girls to have brunch/lunch and re-create Blake Lively's lady-like style with some of your own added flair!

Blake Lively has managed to turn our heads more than once...the gorgeous newcomer has already been featured as our 'Muse of the Moment' and she also mentioned in our Wanting/Wishing/Wearing category spotring a killer look on the cover of LUCKY in our WHITE JACKET post. This lady has STYLE!

Noticing Blake's precious look, we wanted to keep in-step with our continuous coverage of Spring's Hottest trend...LADY-LIKE! And Blake's look is just that! Her strand of pearls, oversize cardigan, pleated black dress (a trendy SPIN on an LBD is classic, we told you HERE), killer black PUMPS and gold chain bag. All of this together, not only spells G-L-A-M-O-U-R, but it also is a timeless look that trendy accessories can be added to, to just boost the look up, only a notch!

What did I choose to add to Blake Lively's already lady-like ensemble? Glance at my speedy-savvy-stylin' above! A red corset belt, a statement making CUFF, show-stopping cocktail ring and some black, square spectacles for that added touch of 'naughty secretary' perhaps!

I love this look and feel it is versatile, comfortable and oh so chic! Play around with your own additions too! Wear a BRIGHT colored cardigan or change the LBD to something with more color, like was seen on the Spring 2008 COUTURE Runway. Or, perhaps your lacking any creative juices? In that case, just keep it the same as Blake and you'll still be simply...STUNNING! Enjoy!

Watch4Her: Model Erin Wasson's "Sophomore" Stylist Premiere for Alexander Wang

Erin_wasson_and_alexander_wang

I love me some Erin Wasson...I covet the designs that come down Alexander Wang's Runways. What do these two have in common? A marriage made in heaven, again...is what I foresee evolving from this creative duo!

Erin Wasson is one of the hottest models...her signature mole and killer gaze, and not to mention that POUT, have landed her trademark "look" on the cover of magazines, editorials, advertisements and runway shows. Her personal style is totally eclectic, funky and very original. So much to love! Has Wasson ever been a stylist before these two gigs? No! But her personal style OFF the runway is what garnered Wang's attention! Knowing that, my dears, is why looking good off the job is "muy importante!"

Alexander Wang is the young designer (23) who has taken the fashion circuit by storm. I covered his show last year, HERE, and it took my breath away. A 'Boy Meets Girl' aesthetic ran deep, showing memorable statement pieces, such as; loosely belted shirt-dresses, tuxedo buttons on almost everything, a ripped up wife-beater paired with a sleeveless/cropped jacket and a super short pocketed grey shift.

The two creative extraordinaires are collaborating, once again, for Wang's Fall 2008 Ready to Wear show and expect nothing less than AWESOME from Wasson's Sophomore Stylist Debut and Wang's captivating genius. You know I'll be the FIRST to tell you about the show, but Fall Fashion Week is still a few days away!

BOTB - Belle of the Ball - 2008 SAG Awards: Amanda Bynes, Vanessa Williams, Rebecca Gayheart, Kate Beckinsale and Marcia Cross

Best_dressed_at_the_sag_awards

I just adore all the gorgeous gowns that flock to the red carpet during the SAG Awards. For some reason, I feel celebs tend to be a bit daring, brazen and BOLD for this Annual Awards Show. Glancing at the above picture, it nearly looks like the Spring 2008 Couture Collections we mentioned HERE. I must say, it so makes me smile that it's not just a sea of white, black and pastel colored gowns. I've searched through the numerous pictures all over the internet and have whittled it down to my 5 Best Dressed Ladies; Amanda Bynes, Vanessa Williams, Rebecca Gayheart, Kate Beckinsale and Marcia Cross.

Amanda Bynes and Marcia Cross chose teal, empire-waisted gowns. And as you can see for yourself, this cut seriously works magic for an array of different ages and body types. RunwayDaily has so much LOVE for an empire waistline...and the color just screams, regal!

Then there is Vanessa Williams (who I've seen in real life and her beauty honestly took my breath away) and Kate Beckinsale in their canary-yellow, BRIGHT gowns. Even though their skin tones are on either end of the spectrum, both gorgeous gals pull off this color with ease and paired the gowns with simple accessories in order to let the yellow SHINE oh so brightly!

Last, but not least, there is Rebecca Gayheart who is awarded RunwayDaily's Gold Star Award! Her look is perfectly in-step with all the supremely LADY-LIKE looks we've mentioned for Spring. May I also mention that wearing red on the red carpet is always "hit or miss" and very hard to pull off...but Rebecca got it right in more ways that one! Her loose side pony-tail, subtly curled, killer drop earrings and dainty bracelet create a sizzling and sophisticated ensemble that looks more 'old Hollywood' glamour than anything else. She radiates confidence in this color and her smokey eyes are the last touch that makes this a look that everyone should try to emulate at their next big event! Well done Rebecca...your elegance is captivating, for sure!

PS - May you stumble upon more SAG pictures on the internet, I must also let you know that America Ferrera was a close contender in her gorgeous dark grey gown!

First Look: Spring 2008 Couture - A Raiment Rainbow

Rainbow_of_gorgeous_gowns_on_the_co

It's Couture Season! I absolutely adore glancing through all the gorgeous gowns that saunter down the Couture Runways in January. It also makes me even more antsy for the swiftly approaching Fall Collections that are always rigth around the corner!

When all else seems cold, drab and rainy (San Francisco)...it's this glorious RAINBOW of gorgeous couture frocks that I'm certain will bring some sunshine your way, if needed, this Tuesday!

Many designers featured more bright and BOLD hues in their Couture Collections...but I just couldn't hold myself back from showing you my fave pieces, in rainbow form! How fun! The flow is dead-on and the yellow/red hued frocks WON as these were the two bright color categories with the most gowns present on the Couture Runways...take note of that!

It's a feast for the eyes, this Raiment Rainbow, that makes me hungry for the next Awards Show! I'm sure we'll see a starlet, or two, choose to donn one of these killer, statment making and head-turning frocks! Enjoy!

How to Wear It: Ikat Print/Tribal Inspired Look

Ikat_being_made_by_local_artisans

Ikat is no "NEW" weaving process...it's centuries old. I wanted to alert you to how COOL ikat is when used for everyday garments and sunny-Spring dresses. As you can see above, some still shots of women making ikat fabrics in Indonesia. The process, rigorous and daunting, is a close sister to tie-dye (we've already told you OMBRE is too) but takes on a much different look. Wikipedia definition for all you smarty-pants out there; "A style of weaving that uses a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft before the threads are woven to create a pattern or design."

Ok, so enough history/vocabulary lesson...let's move on to the 'goods' at hand; how to wear it? Ikat was all over the Spring 2008 Runway Shows and garnered some serious attention from critics and fashion fans. Pictured below, I have four looks (upper row) from Pollini and then four looks (bottom row) from Oscar de la Renta. Make your own judgement calls, but I'm telling you first hand that when sporting an ikat print, please keep your accessories very, very minimal.

Let the fabric make the statement and let your accessory palette stay subdued. I know, I know...on the Runway they are loud and crazy on some of the looks..."Don't try this at home!" Too much going on in everyday attire leads to a fashion-disaster!

Ikat_on_the_runway_pollini_and_osca

Below, I've included some very minimal speedy-savvy-stylin' as there is little on the market just yet, as far as affordability goes. But i do foresee this being a H-O-T spring trend! So keep your wits about you and know that ikat is a "go-to print" this coming season and buy-up whatever you may stumble upon! Be the FIRST to sport this statement-making tribal print...don't be afraid to let your fierce side out to PLAY, right away!

Runway to Reality: Alberta Ferretti - Spring 2008 - Bright Pieces Paired with Nude Hues and Floral Accessories

Alberta Ferretti's Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection was submerged deeply in Greco-Roman themes with Goddess-like desire. Always the romantic, Ferretti chose color combinations found on temple sketches and played them out to perfection in her signature choice of fabric, chiffon. The pieces flowed like magic and stole the attention of critics, for yet, another year!

Today we're going to take a closer look at two ensembles that sauntered down her Spring 2008 Runway! Both looks incorporate key pieces for spring, such as; BRIGHT colors, STRAPPY PLATFORM sandals and FULL skirts! I've provided some exceptionally inexpensive speedy-savvy-stylin' for you to make the look your own without making even a tiny dent in your petty cash!

Without further ado, let's get to dissecting and re-creating these stellar looks from Alberta Ferretti's gorgeous Spring Collection!

Alberta_ferretti_jeweled_peach_top_

Above, take notice of the gorgeous model, Diana Moldovan, on Ferretti's runway. The look pairs two unlikely hues, peach a bright red/dark orange shade of skirt. Breeze through my styling and you'll see my additions to the playful ensemble include; a great silver CUFF, a FLORAL tote and some sparkly STAR-drop earrings! I love this colorful and show-stopping look...it evokes images of basking in the first warm Spring sun while reading a really, good book!

Alberta_ferretti_bright_orange_to_2

Above, model Irina Kulikova took the Runway in a BRIGHT orange tunic, FULL linen skirt and statement making belt. So chic and laid-back, this look caught my attention right away. I've recreated the look, and added some of my own touches, via shopstyle.com and am ecstatic with my finds. Adding to the look, some key Spring accessories to step the look up a notch; a medallion necklace, FLORAL ring (that I just love) and a denim VEST!

Effortless chic is what I'm constantly after and these two looks embody that precisely! Thank you Alberta Ferretti for your incredibly bright. daring and sophisticated Spring Collection! It overflowed with the feminine details that we here, at RunwayDaily, covet in certain outstanding Collections! Bravo!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Josh Highlander Byting Katie Lee Joel, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger and Gabrielle Union

Male_bytes_josh_highlanders_perspec

Oh this is such a grand and entertaining category! Sooooo, twice monthly, I plan to ask a male friend/colleague his opinion on a trio of fashionable celeb and model ensembles. What the men reply with, will hopefully, REALLY surprise us all! Not that I think women should dress for men OR even for other women, but we all do it every once in a while...so this will likely lend insight into what impresses different men!

Men and women do think VERY differently as far as fashion goes...I'm surprised and a wee-bit amused at the comments relayed by today's guest, "Byter" - Josh Highlander. A good opinionated man is what makes this category come alive with color and jargon that is VERY new to this fashionista's ears! I'm eating this up and loving every second of it...dare I say we try to 'dress to impress' yet, it seems, the simplest ensembles are what catch the gentleman's eyes. Read on...

I asked Josh to breeze through four different pictures of the featured starlets and tell me what he thought about the looks on Katie Lee Joel, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger and Gabrielle Union. Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from him, below:

Katie Lee Joel - "The shirt looks like a 17th century circus clown. I don't like ankle boots, is it a high heel or a boot? Just pick one. The accessories do seem to go well with this outfit. The skirt, however, looks like a server's attire at a high-end restaurant."

Uma Thurman - "Once again, the shirt has that colonial clown look! Looks like she has a drape around her neck. The jacket looks good, but only on tall people. The pants are cool but the belt is too small for the belt loops. The outfit would look better with heels or tall boots and the watch is cool."

Diane Kruger - "It looks like there's something going on in the back...is it for storage or something? I like the way the neckline looks and the skirt looks like a nice length for a professional working woman. The shoe looks like a fish hook! Her feet have got to be deformed to fit in those shoes..."

Gabrielle Union - "This look is hot! The belt accentuates her slender waist (I heard that on TLC's "What Not to Wear"). I think the shoulders look a little wide. I like the strap around the ankle on the shoes. The bag seems small and useless. My wife would look best in this outfit."

So there you have it, again! Incredible fashion insight from the male mind...intriguing as usual. What a man likes to see a woman wearing is possibly VERY different than the fashions we LOVE! I must just point out that even though Josh doesn't like the "idea" of a belt being too small for the pant-loops....SKINNY BELTS are muy caliente, so don't let that deter! Thanks for that, Josh...you were a wonderful contributor...very informative for sure! Enjoy!

Fashion Week Frenzy: A Minimal Palette Makes a Bold Statement

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.

As Spring is vastly approaching and the sun is getting possibly a wee-bit "warmer" for some of you (darn, not me)...ideals of BOLD colors and FLORAL fancy are taking way in your fashion-filled mind. But I have something new and oh so "minimal" for you to take a gander upon trying, my fashion forward, lady-loves! I may take a legitimate gander that you've tried a subdued palette before today, but I'm enthusiastically going to show you how to REALLY make it WORK!

We at Runway Daily want to make sure that you are the FIRST to know what's about to be IN and HOT! Make sure to click HERE to see all our previous Fashion Week Frenzys! We're always taking notes and can't help but notice all of the pieces that popped up on the Spring 2008 Ready to Wear Runway Shows that exemplified a subdued, yet striking, palette! Here are 21 looks from 21 different designers:

Runway_looks_with_a_minimal_palette

Every single designer showed a piece, or two...or TEN, that characterized this look to a T! It's easy to think you're pulling it off but really you end up looking dowdy and boring. Simply matching sundued pieces with killer accessories and layering are the KEY essentials for making this a look one that will ultimately come out polished, sophisticated and clean!

Over 21 images to sort through can be a bit daunting, so it's friday...and I'm feeling rather nice. I'm going to go ahead and provide you with three examples, a mere 6 looks, on HOW TO pull-off a subdued palette, below. Batter up...

Bruce_and_cynthia_rowley_on_the_run

Above, crisp WHITE PANTS rocked the runways at Bruce and Cynthia Rowley. Notice the pairing of a flowing tank/black VEST combo at Bruce (left) and the long WHITE jacket, thick belt, nude top and STATEMENT necklace that polished off Cynthia Rowley's look (right). Both look chic without over-doing it!

Emporia_armani_and_dg_on_the_runway

Above, subtle grey hues and soft white sheers graced the Emporio Armani and D&G Spring Runways this year. Check out the above duo, with Armani's look on the left and you can easily see many similarities. Taking a minimal palette and adding classic/trendy accessories to take the look up a notch. Notice the black patent leather and beaded necklaces at Armani and how about those GLADIATOR kicks at D&G? Love them and...have them! So just some insight on how to add-to a minimal palette and jazz it up, something fierce, for a casual night out on the town!

Preen_and_stella_mccartney_on_the_r

And last but not least, above, we have two amazing looks from the Preen and Stella McCartney Spring shows. An oversized white blazer (we've mentioned are love for TUXEDO, but this is also great) and grey shift, on the left, paired with some killer ankle-wrap sandals make me want to say, "Preen, just add a few key accessories and this look has it ALL for Spring!" McCartney's ethereal look on the right is also paired with a blazer, though her shade is a bit creamier. The SHEER shift-dress underneath and the TRIBAL theme espadrilles are the perfect accents and a supreme way to round-out minimal palette looks with some of Spring's HOTTEST 'go-to' pieces! Oh Stella...always leading the pack! Golf claps to all, though!

Project Runway: Report Card - Keep Track of RD Gold Medal Awards

When you were younger, did you LOVE to get little gold stars next to your name in pre-school and kindergarten? I sure 'nuff DID! So just a lil' sumthin'-sumthin' to evoke those glorious memories and for all of us to keep track of each designer and their GOLD MEDAL Awards!

This week, Chris, Sweet P and Rami added an itty bitty gold medal under their picture! Click HERE to learn how to get their looks from last night's show! Denim was the secret for this week and all three rocked the Runway with their creative rendition of a classic wardrobe staple! Rami stole the show, in my book...incorporating wearability, a trendy spin and comfort all into ONE LOOK! Loved it!

Some designers have already gotten the RED X and are outtie, but I won't spoil the fun and give that away! I'll update the Report Card each week for you to enjoy!

First Look: Little Lady-Like Bows as seen on Rachel Weisz, Fergie and Jacquetta Wheeler

Rachel_weisc_fergie_and_jacquetta_w

Rachel Weisz, Fergie and Jacquetta Wheeler are three women whose fashion style is very, very different! But voilà...take a closer look! See what all three stepped out wearing, as of recent; itty bitty bow-embellished frocks! Love them!

Bows are the quintessential, "lady-like" adornment that has graced the neck of the recent 'tie-front' blouse craze. I'm trying to train your eyes to be drawn towards NEW looks that incorporate bows, but don't make them center of attention...that's what YOUR pretty face is for, right?

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below that seriously shows an array of different cocktail dresses (no BETTER time that now to load up as Holiday Season has dwindled out) to suit every possible soiree...and ALL are under $200!!

What is my new "must-lust" from the below collection of bow-embellished frocks? Ahhhhh...the Soni & Cindy Emilia Rock STARRY Tunic Dress! You know I'm all over "stars" right now as they're Spring's "go-to" emblem!!!

So, without further ado...I will gander a guess that you're quite capable of picking out some precious lil' ON-SALE dresses to flaunt your cute selves around town in! Enjoy!

Project Runway: RD Gold Medal Awards for Episode 9 - Chris, Sweet P and Rami - Make the Look Your Own

I'm honestly OBSESSED with Project Runway. I love it, try not to miss it every Wednesday and I'm also not afraid to spend an ENTIRE weekend watching the marathons...pathetic, I know.

Episode 9 aired last night and BravoTV.com has entitled it, "Even Designers Get the Blues!" Designers were taken on one of Tim Gunn's infamous field-trips this week. What was the Challenge? A Massive warehouse with clotheslines of denim were strewn in front of them. Each designer raced to grab the pieces they needed to create "an iconic denim look that captures the spirit of the 501 legacy!"

RunwayDaily Gold Medal Awards have been handed out to this week's designers and leading the pack are Chris, Sweet P and Rami. Senior Vice President of Levi's Design, Caroline Calvin, stood in as a judge this week and was REALLY impressed with Rami and Sweet P's looks. I love Chris' look because I find it VERY wearable and the SWEETHEART neckline is one of my faves.

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below for you to make each Project Runway look your OWN! As usual, I've incorporated some really stellar accessories, so be sure to glance through all the thumbnails. My fave additions to each look? For Chris' look I added some POP of color in the form of an oversized RED clutch, the corset CUFF reminds me of the Dolce & Gabbana Padlock belt featured HERE, the sandals I've added give more of a retro/structured/GLADIATOR feel than those on last night's show....and how about those sex-ayyy tights? Red stripe up the back just screams, "Ohhh Lah Lahhhh!"

Sweet P's light denim look was capped off with a killer anchor STATEMENT NECKLACE, a long white VEST, a SKINNY metallic BELT to go over the vest/dress, a STAR charm watch bracelet and a Rebecca Minkoff Morning After bag, who is DEF a designer you need to covet/watch/follow, pronto! (Love letter R.M. Morning After bag - "Oh how I want thee! You would match everything!")

And last but not least, Rami's tailoring and craftsmanship stole the show...he's AMAZING to say the least. Some fun additions to his already stellar look were some more GLADIATOR style sandals as well, a massive gold CUFF and some yellow POP of color via Nuovedive Ruched Leather Bag! Love this look! So wearable and perfect for a day shopping in STYLE!

Golf claps for all three designers! Chris, Sweet P and Rami you've proven to RunwayDaily once again that you deserve to be ON Project Runway, indeed!

Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Star Shaped Accessories Shine Bright

Even though crosses are all the rage and I totally enjoy sporting them with EVERYTHING...I wanted to be the first to tell you what I have my eye on next - STARS!!! Are you as "star-struck" as I am? Sure hope so!

Featured above is a collage of close-ups from Yves Saint Laurent's Spring 2008 Runway Show. Stars were ablaze and adorning everything from STRAP-HAPPY sandals, huge STATEMENT NECKLACES, cardigans, CAP SLEEVES and sweet CUFFS!

Stars are easy to find and come in an array of forms! I purchased some gold star drop earrings recently and I bet I've already worn them a half-dozen times...they are gold and seem to go with OH SO MUCH! Stars receieve some serious rotation time in this girl's fab wardrobe!

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below...though this will be SUCH an easy challenge, because I already see stars appearing in the likes of Target and H&M! Go ahead...this Spring/Summer...shoot for the STARS, my loves!

First Look: Hot Couture - A Fusion of Fire and Fashion at the Crucible

Crucible_hot_couture_fashion_show_2

Last weekend, I had the wonderful pleasure of being involved in one of the HOTTEST Runway Shows to date! The 9th Anniversary Show, Hot Couture, at the Crucible in Oakland, California (right outside San Francisco) was on FIRE, literally!

"A blazing showcase of wearable art from Bay Area designers, awe-inspiring fire performances, aerial artistry, and fire arts demonstrations." - The Crucible

RunwayDaily's hub was in attendance on VIP Night and took some jaw-dropping pics, as featured in the above collage. Fire eaters, an acrobatic aerial performance, contortionists and geishas on stilts...just to name a few of the incredible acts!

Without further ado, let me take time to mention the gorgeous array of 'wearable art' that sauntered down the fire-lit runway from over TWENTY incredible designers! Each one showcasing anywhere from 5 to 14 pieces from their captivating Collections! This ALL virtually left the audience breathless! The craftsmanship was impressive and with hair/makeup courtesy of Paul Mitchell, the models shone ablaze with pure FEROCITY!

One of the silliest performances at this entirely eclectic/extremely creative show had to be the Oakland Firefighters. Why were they there, you ask? F-I-R-E! Attempting to do their best impression of models on the catwalk, these guys provided non-stop entertainment as they doused the audience with their fire hydrants!

Some memorable Couture Designers that garnered my attention, with links to their websites:

- Antoniya Ivanova

- Alexandria Von Bromssen

- Erin Mahoney

- KAYO

- Leila Bazzani

Runway to Reality: Christian Lacroix - Spring 2008

Christian Lacroix is known as a grand master of exuberance in the fashion world. His designs are iconic, his taste is extravagant and his pieces are jaw-dropping. Today we're going to take a look at some of his more subtle ensembles from his Spring 2008 Ready to Wear Collection.

Black, white, navy and metallic "glow" characterize the palette on the two chosen looks below. Each are laid-back and casual (great for a day of Spring shopping) but also have an added richness that brings the look up a notch.

Notice the STATEMENT NECKLACES, STRIPES and the wee-bit of NEON on the under tee...all things I've already told you will be HOT for Spring!

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' underneath each look, below. It's not exact because I've added other touches, but it gives you a start. My fave touches? I've exchanged the brocade long short-sleeved jacket for PIPED BLAZER in Spring white. I've also added bags to each look; a RED and a YELLOW...fulfilling your spring accessory POP of color! I'm not even gonna mention my LOVE for the striped skirt...I want it N-O-W!

Inspiration for everyday wear CAN be found from one of the most ENERGETIC designers of our day. You just have to dig deep and make the pieces work for YOU!

Project Runway: RD Gold Medal Awards for Episode 8 - Christian and Chris, Jillian and Victorya and Sweet P and Rami

I'm honestly OBSESSED with Project Runway. I love it, try not to miss it every Wednesday and I'm also not afraid to spend an ENTIRE weekend watching the marathons...pathetic, I know.

Episode 8 aired last night and was chock-full of some amazing creations! Designers were separated into teams of TWO and asked to create avant garde creations based on their models HAIRSTYLE! Getting right to work, Tim Gunn arrived with a curve-ball and asked the designers to create a SECOND look, ready-to-wear, based on their avant-garde theme! Ahhh...it was chaotic!

RunwayDaily Gold Medal Awards have been handed out for three great and wearable creations! Christian and Chris' lady-like ensemble showed off a belted waistline and camel pencil skirt, which were both featured in RunwayDaily's Wardrobe Essentials! Golf claps for them!

Then there was the great designer combo of the black haired perfectionists - Jillian and Victorya! Their ONE-ARM creation was a trendy spin on the classic LBD (which we've told you about HERE) and looked just ravishing!

Last, but not least, Sweet P and Rami combined for a precious little gray frock with some metallic and tan highlights. I loved this dress for so many reasons (forgiving shape, being numero uno) and would honestly rock it for MANY seasons to come!

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' under each look, below. Once again, I've added some really FUN accessories and pieces to the ensembles to make the looks more 'complete' and wearable! How about the adorable pink bag I've added to Sweet P and Rami's Look? L-O-V-E it! Enjoy!
