Personal Style: "Casual/Laid-back Weekend" - à la Ellen Page
It's seriously tough to be ANY cuter than the new 'it' girl - Miss Ellen Page! Have you seen "Juno" yet? Me neither. But it's on my list of to-do's this weekend...fam/friends have given it RAVE reviews.
So back to the subject at hand...the incredibly laid-back style of Miss Ellen Page, above. Here she is featured on her way to Letterman in a simple but stylish ensemble. You know how much I'm into leather bombers, so her navy version drew my attention in, like a moth to a flame! I was hooked!
As you can see in my speedy-savvy-stylin' below, I've added some great accessories to just vamp this casual style up one BIG stylish notch. I love Ellen's choices of basics...heather grey t-shirt, killer straight/skinny leg jeans and those kicks, but the look yearns for MORE! (PS - Why do I NOT own a pair of Converse, can someone please explain? It's TIME, I tell ya!) The maroon shade of Chuck Taylor's that Page chose is subtle, so I went all...out...RED for my ensemble!
Some other pieces that I added to Page's basics for the perfect laid-back weekend look; versatile gold/silver hoops, a statement-making cuff watch, a sleek cross-body shoulder bag, the new trendy beret in cream and a short but subtle cashmere scarf (gotta add some luxury in there!)
Ellen Page's look is simple for sure...but the addition of a few KEY accessories transforms her basics into the laid back, low-maintenance, wintry chic look we're all scrambling for!
