Personal Peek: Fashionable Wine Markers - Easy to Make

Fashion_magazine_wine_markers

Raise your hands if you like to drink wine! Raise your hands if you have fashion magazines laying around the house! Raise your hands if you like to recycle and help the environment! Me too, me too! That's why I wanted to give you a wee-bit of a Personal Peek inside my newest 'easy to make' wine markers for your next dinner party! Sheesh, I'd even go as far as considering myself a Gorgeous Green Gal, just for a day!

R.D. Hub and I searched for a few days for some wine markers but came up empty handed. Throwing a large dinner party and NO wine-markers is just a no-no! So, I told him that I was confident I could concoct something from around our house. Well, it was 30 minutes before the guests arrived and I had nada for the wine marker category. Low and behold, all those fashion mags that are strewn all over our place were actually put to to some great recycling usage...I know ONE MAN who was all smiles!

I got out my little scissors and started snip-snipping away. I think my wine marker was half of Kate Moss' face, another guest had the jumping preppies from the newest Lacoste ads. Whatever you fancy, while breezing through your old catalogs, just cut it out...make a little slit down the side and hole in the center, for the stem! Be sure they each have a different color palette so no one mixes up their wine glass. Let me just tell you that our company thoroughly enjoyed them, too! See...now who ever thought wine markers and high fashion would work hand-in-hand? Enjoy and please pass along too!

Outfit Inspiration: A Day at the Beach à la Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night

Vincent_van_goghs_the_starry_night

(Click for More Info and Where to BUY!)

New Category Alert!!!! Outfit Inspiration is just what it says...a way for ME to show YOU that you can gather inspiration for killer ensembles from nearly ANYTHING!!! Today's inspiration is from one of the greatest masters of all time...the famous artist, Vincent Van Gogh. The Starry Night, residing at the Modern Museum of Art in New York City, is one of the most reproduced paintings of all time. Your sweet eyes might have seen it in real life...if so, you will attest to it's beauty, I'm sure. We're not really going to talk 'art class' today...but we did use Van Gogh's fabulous color palette to create a lust-worthy beach day look, just for you!

Glancing above at the Polyvore assisted collage, you will see the color palette is rich in yellows, golds, blues and greens. A MAXI DRESS is just perfect for the cool Spring nights transitioning into warmer Summer ones. The Emilio Pucci Love Print Bikini ties the whole look together and nearly looks like a mini Van Gogh. The aqua blue Gucci Beach Bag is drool-worthy and perfect for running errands and grocery shopping! Naturally, the white wide-brimmed hat will keep the sun off of your face while the Chanel aviators will shield your eyes too!

Hope you also enjoy seeing a bit of a Personal Peek at what I'd actually have in my beach bag; perfume, sunscreen, a brush...and I'd already have a killer pedicure in navy to show off my tan tootsies! So...just a little beachy keen, ensemble FUN to kick off your weekend in style! Hope you're inspired and now look at Van Gogh in a much different, more 'fashion-forward' light!

Personal Style: Floral for Day and Night - à la Designer Tory Burch

Tory_burch_in_floral_top_high_waist

(Click for More Info and Where to BUY!)

Tory Burch has incredible style and taste...she MUST!!! Her designing empire reigns supreme (ToryBurch.com) and her pieces are seen on SO MANY celebs, it's impossible to keep track! On RunwayDaily's recent trip to Napa, a good girlfriend of mine was sporting Tory Burch's original version of popular ballet flats with the massive gold hardware on the toe...I'm sure you know them, nearly EVERY shoe designer has their own 'knocked-off' version.

I tend not to gravitate towards pieces that are everywhere, but my friend looked so adorable in her yellow quilted and cheetah printed versions this past weekend...want to buy them: HERE and HERE. She even said they are UBER comfy, cha-ching!

So without further ado...I already had incredible respect for Tory Burch and the empire she's created...but upon seeing my girlfriend in her cutie and comfy kicks and then when I saw this pic of Tory Burch last week, yep...I immediately knew it was RunwayDaily "Personal Style" worthy!

Tory looks effortlessly put together and chic in her FLORAL blouse and PENCIL SKIRT. The addition of a more subtle version of the go-to sandal for summer, the GLADIATORS, bring the look up a notch and create a younger vibe. Her envelope clutch is one of her own designs and her minimal accessories (cocktail ring on her right pointer finger and small earrings) let the ensemble do ALL the talking! The look was something I immediately knew I'd take inspiration from, so I've created two looks for you to feast your eyes upon, via Polyvore, above.

The first look is for a daytime shopping trip, summer BBQ or lunch with the ladies. Longer jean shorts will flatter all ages of women and the sandals, again, keep it young. The second look is bright and FUN for the Summer season. Again, pairing a FLORAL top with a solid bottom, let's the foliage steal the show! The yellow high-waisted skirt, similar to Burch's version, is lust-worthy and oh so HOT for all curves. Dressy and embellished T-straps, an envelope clutch and subtle accessories take sure-fire cues from Burch's exquisite look, above.

The addition of the plaid scarf is, quite frankly, because here in San Francisco, the night's are still a wee-bit chilly, plus a SCARF added to ANY ensemble is always so Cali-cool! Enjoy and golf claps to you, Tory Burch...you and your infectious style rock my world!

Muse of the Moment: Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl Fame

Muse -

1. A guiding spirit

2. A source of inspiration

3. Any goddess presiding over a particular art

Muse_of_the_moment_leighton_meester

Leighton, Leighton, Leighton...how I covet your wardrobe! You look adorable in nearly everything! You know how to rock bright colors and soft hues...you choose killer accessories and show-stopping designer frocks. Your impeccable taste and risk-taking style have landed you as our most recent lady-love to watch for...and, most importantly, as today's Muse of the Moment! Now, let us take some time to dissect exactly WHY Miss Leighton Meester has been continually a-buzz on our stellar fashionista radar.

Looking at the above collage and moving clockwise; GILDED gorgeous accessories added the perfect touch to her Missoni ONE-ARMED frock of choice; perfect length...perfect fit...perfectly glam! Next up, we see she chose another amazing Missoni frock that plays nicely off her golden goddess tan!

Leighton makes a RAINBOW dress and studded flats look glam while also laid-back and casual chic. Ahhhh, next we see Miss Leighton is up-to-date on one of Spring/Summer's fave new trends: STARS!

Lastly, on the top row, she sparkled in a Yves Saint Laurent MUSTARD and FRINGED lady-like frock. Her under-stated accessories (small clutch, copper T-straps and delicate earrings) truly pull the look together, with impeccable elegance!

Right underneath that, we see Leighton has chosen a classic PENCIL SKIRT (one of R.D.'s Top TEN TIMELESS Wardrobe Essentials) with a RUFFLE-FRONT blouse and a BOLD COLORED PATENT LEATHER eye-catching red belt. Love...this...look! Next up, a precious black and white Jay Godfrey dress does then trick followed by a more casual ensemble by pairing a pastel Chloé blouse with 7 for All Mankind flared jeans. Pairing high and low...that's what we're all about here at R.D. too!

Yum, yum, yum...the next look is one of my faves! This MIRRORED Missoni skirt (see it on the Runway, HERE) made my jaw drop and paired with a tank, a BOLD orange clutch and killer heels...Miss Leighton makes my eyes sparkle! Only two more to go, stay with me!

Leighton looks absolutely ravishing in the cobalt blue Versace dress paired with a Felix Ray white patent bag and matching WHITE KICKS (she was even featured in THIS previous post)! Once again, she knows a go-to color of hers is 100% yellow and her STATEMENT MAKING YELLOW DRESS does the trick, once again!

Even though Leighton's fellow Gossip Girl, BLAKE LIVELY, turned our heads first as a Muse of the Moment...Leighton's supremely lady-like style and covetable wardrobe is something that sets the standards high for smart pairing and trend-setting style! This lady-love is one we can all learn from and emulate to create some supremely winning combinations! Cheers to you, the impeccable Miss Leighton Meester!

A-list Accessory: Reusable Shopping Totes/Bags Make for a Happier Earth (Day)

Jennifer_garner_sarah_michelle_gell

Love me some Gorgeous Green Gals for sure! Pictured above are Jennifer Garner, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Keira Knightley all with their re-usable shopping totes in hand. There was a TON of rage when the first Anya Hindmarch, "I'm Not a Plastic Bag" shopping tote was seen sported on some of Hollywood's hottest shoulders! And boy, did we ever smile big that our fave eco-friendly totes were getting some big time attention. Today is Earth Day and I'm quite sure you're aware of that...but Happy E.D. to you!

In celebration of Earth Day, I'd like to share my own personal green tip to making every shopping outing that much more environmentally friendly. Pretty much, anywhere, and everywhere are popping up with their own personal versions of a green/reusable shopping bag. We've provided some of our faves below. This is a habit I learned/picked up from the family I nannied for in college that were UBER eco-responsible! Believe me, it matters!

Personally I just adore all ourEnvirosax and have provided numerous options in my speedy-savvy-stylin' if they aren't what you see yourself toting. They do come in an array of more masculine prints, as well. Come on now, R.D. Hub does NOT want to carry bright pink flowers during our weekend trips to the Farmer's Market. Envirosax are especially user-friendly as they fold up super tiny and are pretty close to weightless...with sooooo little room in my purse they are perfect while being such a big investment in the Earth's future.

We also recently celebrated our 2nd Anniversary and sticking the traditional gift guide, it was a cotton giving year. My parents sent us some amazing reusable bags that will be just PERFECT for the bigger grocery store shopping days. The Sackaroos Starter System is just about to get some serious Whole Foods mileage over the next few years!

Please DO take a moment and think about how MANY bags you save by throwing a fold-up tote in your purse and using that on your shopping outings. Believe me, I'm not perfect and have been doing this for years and STILL forget to bring ours along all the time. Regardless, it's a great habit to get into and something that I hope to see become much more mainstream throughout the USA and over the coming years! Happy Earth Day!

PS - Take some time today to breeze through one of my FAVE eco-friendly blogs that I just adore: Ecorazzi.com

Personal Peek: A Charmed Life in Napa

(Click Thumbnails to be Directed to ShopStyle for Info & to BUY!)

So, I know you remember the days where the above were UBER cool. Best Friend charms and necklaces, oooh lah lah! Obviously, if you were a popular lady-love and had many a friend, you proudly sported a couple 'best's' around your neck and then a 'friend' or two around your wrist, as well! Even though those days are LONG gone for me...I still have many friends that are near and dear to my heart that I would be 'charmed' for, forever! A few of them are here to visit and we're heading to Napa today with all our cutie hubbies in tow! What FUN will be had!

I will admit, back in the days I even had a charm 'holder' that held my assortment of personal faves and BFF charms. It was similar to a baby "MR. T STARTER KIT" because the more charms you had on there, the cooler you were! Nowadays, charms and necklaces are UBER adorable and I find myself sporting some really eye-catching versions. I've provided you with some real-deal speedy-savvy-stylin' below and there are some incredibly cute finds in this bunch. Everything is bustlin' and hustlin' around me here at our home soooo...I better get going and join in the mix to get ready to leave. What could be more FUN that wine tasting all weekend with all my true blue charmers! Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: A Statement-Making Yellow Dress

Reese_and_angelina_in_yellow_dresse

These looks are two very memorable ensembles, right? I remember when each lady wore these lovely gowns...I think I was actually noshing on something to eat and literally dropped my fork, along with my jaw, in complete AWE. Two women, each with very different skin tones and body shape but both looked STUNNING in yellow! So, do take a hint from Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie above...yellow was all the rage a few years ago, but the Spring-worthy color is still glowing strong!

Penelope_j_lo_paris_and_molly_sims_

Four other gorgeous gals have recently garnered our attention for looking nothing short of SMOKIN' in their yellow! Above, left to right; Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton and Molly Sims look absolutely awesome in their yellow dresses! Just like Reese, they all opted for shorter versions...but should you need a gown in the future, do emulate Angelina Jolie's Goddess Goodness or also check out BLAKE LIVELY from a previous Male Bytes post. Both gowns are show-stoppers for sure!

I have to say, for the yellow version...I think the cuter and more summery, the better! There are limitless options on the market, but I just wanted to give you a little get goin' ammo to shop and find that PERFECT figure-flattering yellow for you! The shades can differ depending on which hue looks best on your personal skin tone too! Take a friend/boyfriend/partner along to make SURE the dress has WOW factor. Nothing's worse than a lady-love wearing a BOLD/BRIGHT color and having it look dowdy/not cute!

I've provided some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you below! I've given you two different categories of yellows...the first are all dresses under $50 and the second is $50-$150! I have to say in all honestly, my two favorite actually fall into the less expensive section...I'm loving the Newport News Fitted Shirred Tank Dress and the Silky-Soft Blouson Dress, each one coming in at a whopping $29! Golf claps to you, Newport News...you might just get some retail love from ME! Enjoy your yellow fever in the golden SUN for months to come!

Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Maxi Dresses - As Seen on Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus, Tori Spelling, Carrie Underwood and Rachel Bilson

Celebs_in_maxi_dresses_recently

(Celebs featured above, left to right; Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus, Tori Spelling, Carrie Underwood and Rachel Bilson)

I love me some maxi dresses! I honestly probably own 10 of them...I will admit that my height does make a difference as I tend to love maxi's on taller women...but you KNOW WHAT? Miley Cyrus (5'5"), Carrie Underwood (5'4") and Rachel Bilson (5'3") are all making me a seriously FIRM believer that this look just isn't for glamazons! The right cut can truly flatter all shapes and sizes! Sooooo yes, I kindly revoke my tall girl statement and say this is a dress that EVERYONE should own and flaunt!

We here at RunwayDaily were toying with the idea of making this post fall under the category of RunwayDaily Report is Right On as we told you about this trend WAY BACK in late September (click HERE for the post), but we opted for this category above, instead. I yearn for the warmer weather and when it comes I truly Want/Wish/Wear my maxis all the time!

We think, as Spring is finally here and warm Summer breezes are blowing in, each and every single one of you lady-loves should willingly try to sport a maxi dress this season. There is something so boho-chic and cool about the look. Even if your shopping in your land-locked town wishing for Capri, Bali or the Maldives...sporting this look honestly feels like you've had an out of body experience and you're floating on a yacht in the Caribbean or Mediterranean! Go ahead, give it a try! You'll be the envy of all your friends!

Just like the gorgeous five celebs above did, make sure to pair your Maxi, if it's a FLORAL FIESTA or a bold/loud print with understated accessories. Let the dress do all the talking! It's the easiest and most chic way to run errands and still look put together! You literally only have to throw on cute sandals and your dress (don't forget that) and out the door you go...in STYLE!

Some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you below! All looks are under $250 and are just brilliant! Maxi dresses are popping up everywhere, so be sure to check Target, H&M, Forever 21 and other chain stores. But like I always say, help out the environment and also make sure to check vintage/thrift stores...just think, find a goodie there and you can pretty much be CERTAIN no other lady-love will be spotted in the same dress! Enjoy!

So a few days ago, I'm breezing through my newest issue of Allure and I stumble upon, wait...SOMEONE I've NEVER heard of! It took me by surprise and rocked my magazine reading afternoon. Here in front of me lay a gorgeous model whose environmental activism and killer curves has her becoming one natural force to be reckoned with. Let the research begin!

Her WEBSITE and PERSONAL BLOG are filled with a ton of info, shall you want to spend a bit of time delving into this gorgeous woman's incredible journey to make our planet a much greener place.

Straight from her site, she is described as nothing short of a SUPER-WOMAN. "Model, media host, speaker, writer, and brand strategist. She heads up SRO, a strategic consulting company focused on sustainable business strategies, market research, advertising and environmental communications."

Check out some incredible magazine covers she's been featured on, below. These were just a few of my favorite to show her diversity in front of the camera...she's had countless covers. Which is your favorite? And some of these magazine I've never even heard of, but since RunwayDaily household tries to be as green as possible, you better believe I'll be picking up a copy, or two!

Yes, this is one busy WOMAN and we always tip our hats to that! Keep an eye on this one as Discovery Network launches their new channel, Planet Green, in June of this year. Summer is slated to be one of the main correspondents/faces of the Channel. We here at RunwayDaily love to give kudos to fellow green-gals, like previous honoree Gisele Bundchen. We are a huge fan of yours, gorgeous Summer Rayne...and we think your name is just as beautiful as YOU!

Personal Style: "Engagement Bliss" is Somewhere Over the Rainbow - à la Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee_simpson_in_rainbow_dress

(Click for More Info and to BUY!)

As we say, "April showers bring May Rainbows!" Reports are a-buzzin' that the younger Simpson lady is ENGAGED!!! And since we recently caught her in a killer Sass & Bide, belted, rainbow Sun-dress and killer Dolce & Gabbana Bag...we wanted to give her a personal style shout out!

Ashlee's style has truly transformed over the last few years. I personally appreciate all her rocker-chic, killer and cool, all-black ensembles...that must be why seeing her in a rainbow frock came as quite the sweet surprise!

So I took some time and recreated a R.D. version of Ashlee Simpson's look, above...but only played off her eye-catching pieces and came up with something that was light, airy and so spring-worthy. 'Engagement season' is upon us and what better way to celebrate with a friend's new announcement OR one of your own, in a cheery and bright Rainbow frock.

To the speedy-savvy-stylin' courtesy of Polyvore, I added a long cardigan vest and fringed scarf for those cooler Spring nights...and how about those grommet sandals and killer green Wayfarers? LOVE them!

One thing's certain with Ashlee Simpson and her equally stylish other half, Pete Wentz...we will NOW get to see this pair working the rocker-chic trends for many, many years to come! A big CONGRATS from RunwayDaily and to all our readers, we hope you enjoy a cool, rainbow(ed) and Spring-worthy creation that you can emulate with personal ease!

Fashion Week Frenzy: Waves of Turquoise Spring Into Sight!

Turquoise_on_the_fall_runway

Ohh lah lah! There is just something so flashy and fun about a wee-bit of turquoise added to any ensemble! It reminds me of the gorgeous Caribbean waters where I once resided...it makes me want to wear my fave new jewelry that R.D. Hub bought for Valentine's Day this year...AND it makes me realize that I totally sport my turquoise colored scarf way TOO OFTEN! But I can't help it, I just adore and love turquoise!

As you can see, above, it was present on the Runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris...making it a Fashion Week Frenzy, for this coming Fall. Thankfully, you can jump on this bandwagon without racking your brain on whether you want to invest in a Spring/Fall piece. How? No worries...go the jewelry/accessory route (a la Alexandre Herchcovitch's blue kicks, above) and you're good to go! You can also purchase a good layering piece that can transition well from Spring/Summer into the Fall/Winter season (hint: lightweight cardigan).

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below, all under $150, to just get you goin! Come on my lovely readers, I want you seeing only shades of turquoise, in all you do! One of my favorite ways to wear it...with coral colors too! They play so well off of each other and I swear, even if it is in midst of a Winter chill...there is truly something about turquoise that just makes me warm inside and really cheerful! I mean, how can you NOT smile when you look at the six looks above? They are bright, inviting and oh so eye-catching! Make a statement in your own way...but DO invest in at least one turquoise goody, that will take you through the warm moths...and maybe even splurge again in the Fall! So there, I've given you an excuse!

RunwayDaily Report is Right On: One Arm Wonders are Hot for Spring - Seen on Kate Hudson, Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad, Rebecca Gayheart and Rashida Jones

RunwayDaily mentioned One-Arm Wonders waaaaay back in late September, 2007 (click HERE for post). We showed you some grand looks, straight from the Runway (pic below). We told you months ago that it was a look you should keep your eyes peeled for and WOW, has it ever soared to great heights! So, no longer do we just want you to keep an eye on it...it's here! Happily rockin' and rollin' all over the hot bods of numerous gorgeous gals!

Featured above, many celebs have recently stepped out in one-armed frocks for red carpet events and soirees. My fave has to be Kate Hudson's cerulean blue (LOVE - fave hue of my own) or Bilson's champagne perfection. But all five ladies look truly striking in their separate stylish versions.

I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below, just for you. Thought it might jump-start your weekend shopping...plus Spring is here, which means Summer is...that...much...closer. What better way to bask in the glory of the warm rays than doing so in complete style...hence, your newest wardrobe addition: A One Armed Wonder! Enjoy!

Designer Chitchat: Amy Ambroult for AG Ambroult Jewelry

For all my wonderful avid readers out there you would have immediately realized this is a whole new category here on RunwayDaily. A new one and a grand one! RunwayDaily had the pleasure of recently chitchatting with amazing jewelry designer, Amy Ambroult of AG Ambroult. Her handmade jewelry is gorgeous and wearable. Each piece is created in her workshop and the end result is a force to be reckoned with. I find so many of the pieces wearable, trendy and quite the statement-makers.

So, without further ado, I asked Amy a few questions about her fabulous AG Ambroult Collection and here is what she had to say...

***

RunwayDaily - "Your three top sellers...or four?"

Amy Ambroult - "My three top selling pieces are the mobile earrings (by far!), the Hoop & Orb necklace, the Orbit earrings, and the Peep necklace."

***

RunwayDaily - "Love them all...but what are your FAVES?"

Amy Ambroult - "My faves vary slightly from the top sellers....the spy ring (silver and mirror) and Holes Ring, and the Cylinder & Saucer earrings, and the Hoop-Linked Chain. I guess these are the pieces that I was most satisfied with...creatively speaking."

***

RunwayDaily - "What is HOT in your Collection for Spring/Summer?"

Amy Ambroult - "Hot for spring/summer: the hoop-linked chain, at 30" long, would look great draped over a flowy summer dress (or shirt) or even a beach cover-up. But, in general, I think bold pieces will be great for the summer. Less clothing gives more opportunity to show off bold summer jewelry."

***

RunwayDaily - "Where do you want to take your Collection in the next few years?"

Amy Ambroult - "As far as where I want to take the line... I am currently working on a new group of designs with a more earthy/organic feel. The pieces will feature brushed, hammered and oxidized finishes and are interpretations of the natural world without being too literal or obvious. I am taking strides to keep the sleek, contemporary feel of my existing line though."

***

RunwayDaily - "We are celeb obsessed here at R.D. Any celebs you'd swoon to see sport your pieces?"

Amy Ambroult - "I'd love to see Cheryl Crow sporting my pieces. Her style is funky/rocker but she has a natural edge to her. Charlize Theron tends to be classic, but she is a natural beauty and the peep necklace would be stunning on her."

***

Amy's talent is just extraordinary and her one-of-a-kind pieces are breathtaking. I totally have picked out a few of my own faves that I might just have to splurge on. What are they? Since I have been telling you BROOCHES are a lady-like adornment that you should all own, I'm loving the Capture Rock Pin for a more organic spin on this classic. The Simple Chain Earrings and Onyx Bullets (all pictured above) would get some serious wardrobe mileage outside of my jewelry box...LOVE them!

Amy, thanks so much for being our FIRST featured Designer Chitchatter! Your creations are beyond gorgeous and I'll leave all my readers with a quote from you that sums it ALL up...it is OHHHH, so very true!

"My pieces serve as personal decoration,

but each one stands alone as a work of art."

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Korey Lartigue-Webb Byting Sarah Jessica Parker, Paris Hilton, Joy Bryant and Kate Moss

Korey_lartiguewebb_byting_sarah_jes

On this happy Hump Day, I have another fun-filled and colorful Male Bytes post for you, lovely readers! This week's byter is a man that KNOWS fashion from every angle...it's his job, he better! I had the pleasure of meeting Korey Lartigue-Webb at a recent photo-shoot and instantly I fell in love! He's a hard working fellah that KNOWS his stuff...but he's a silent leader who doesn't use force or a loud voice to get his way. His professionalism was striking and his ease of connecting with every person throughout the shoot clearly amazed me. Korey is going places...I will bet on it! His potential next location move, after San Francisco, is Paris. Those French women will NEVER know what hit them!

Onto our glorious Male Bytes post today. I gave Korey four ensembles that I knew only a fashion-obsessed veteran could correctly break-down. Sarah Jessica Parker and Joy Bryant were cheerful and bright in their POPS of COLOR while Paris Hilton and Kate Moss kept it more MONOCHROMATIC and cool! All four women, in my opinion, have pulled off style choices that SHINE in their own eyes! But does a man find it irresistible? Ok, enough about my opinion...this IS male bytes!

So, without further ado, let's hear what Korey had to say about all four fabulous, fashion-loving lady-loves:

Sarah Jessica Parker - "Man oh man, I withhold so much hope in SJP. I'd like her to obtain her Sex & The City wardrobe on, and offscreen. Unfortunately, this is reality. Forthright, this might just be a stint the actress is pulling by incessantly playing these dress up games she is playing, to rid all of the attention she gets from being the star of the show. Don't get me wrong, the pieces are nice, well not all, but they do not belong together. The conflicting fabrications, make me so sad. I will campaign to the END for mismatching colors, but when you get to her footwear, you realize this was all a scam."

Paris Hilton - "I've avowed that Paris Hilton has a disease; though it is not deadly. The fashion forward elite entitles the sickness as "too much." I'm an advocate for high fashion labels, the media attention, and Paris's success, but I will not condone this young lady to incessantly add on layer after layer to every ensemble she encounters. For instance, envision that lace "thing" she's wearing. Just envision it as being burned up, and give her hat back to her boyfriend. Add a cardigan during the day, and a delicate belt, with or without the cardigan at night. She can keep the tights, because she is Paris Hilton. As for her shoes, well she has enormous feet, so there isn't much we can do. Come on, they are not THAT bad. But now, we've created a sophisticated look for the socialite; day and night. In due time, Paris will wow us, but I did mention in due time."

Joy Bryant - "This is nice, not extravagant, but this is nice. Lose the coat Miss Joy; all right, I'll be nice. Burn it Miss Joy. Now, it's a perfect representation of how one shall transfer into the Spring and Summer seasons. If I am not mistaken, Herve Ledger designed the dress, or it may be a really amazing knock off, with bandage strip detailing. I'm not a fanatic about the chosen hair or shoes; but I can deal. Throw her a clutch or an intense selection of jewels [one or the other, let's not go mad] around 6PM, and she'll be transformed from a daytime fashionista, into an evening goddess. One definitely can't leave home without a pair of Louis Vuitton shades while being in her presence, due to her being a tad bit on the bright side; just a tad. But she'll glow once the nightlife hits. You go Miss Joy, you."

Kate Moss - "Kate Moss has it going on, and I'm campaigning to be on her team, enough said. P.S – Because seriously, brown belts fighting angular stripes, is what really completes your look."

So there it is! Straight from a professionals mouth! I actually dig SJP and PH's looks this week, in my opinion! But the truth be told, I agree 100% as I would have totally lost the hat and maybe added a belt to Hilton's ensemble! Korey...what a joy to have you make a cameo appearance as this week's Male Byter! We so enjoyed your enthusiasm, input and COMPLETE styling "know-how" for day-night transitions! Cheers to you, wonderful fellah!

High-waisted skirts are nothing new...but they are; A - hard to pull off, B - hard to find the right fit and C - totally chic, so learn NOW!! I bought mine on a whim and I can hardly believe how often I wear it. Mine is most similar to Jessica Alba's fitted version above. Yes on that note...let's chat more about our gallery of lady-loves, up there!

I've kindly provided you with three fitted looks and four fully flared (and flirty) looks. All are gorgeous and I must point out that EVERY single starlet chose a shade of WHITE to pair with her black, high-waisted goodness. I tend to branch out when I go high-waisted and add a pop of color! But do take notes from our ladies above...ALL of them got the look just right!

The look is a bit hard to get correct, but all shapes and sizes can pull it off with EASE! All you need is the skirt, if you haven't already purchased one, because the shirt and shoes are something you've 100% already have in your wardrobe! Pair a flared version with a vintage t-shirt and the fitted version with a RUFFLY/TIE-front blouse or collared, fitted shirt. Voila, instant sophistication and chic!

I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below, with all skirts under $250. I'm totally lusting for the Marciano Alexandria Skirt...with that ZIPPERED front, oooh lah lah! One thing's certain, this is a look that is SMOKIN' hot and shows off your curves. So get ready to flaunt your goodies with the upmost confidence! I've also put together two KILLAH ensembles way below...one I'd wear for a night out and one for casual day-time fun! Enjoy!
