Do you have a long neck? Do you want a long neck? Well, problem solved and it's oh so fashionable, too! Turtlenecks elongate ANY neck and are one of the most classic, lady-like and well...a fresh new feature on nearly ALL the Fall Runways. Turtlenecks were ruling supreme on these catwalks for Fall/Winter 2008; Gucci, Fendi, Topshop, D&G and Michael Kors. The looks, never stagnant, just kept coming out with numerous layered ensembles with the bottom being...you guessed it, yours truly! 

The turtleneck, just like the GREY BAG deserves its own post because there were just too many Runway shots to choose from! I'm loving the baby-blue monochromatic look at Topshop (above, upper left) that also elongates your entire figure (when you don similar colors).  How about the easy to emulate look at Dsquared² (upper right)? Are you just imagining how you can pair Spring's FULL SKIRT, SKINNY BELT and now a Fall turtleneck? I'm already putting ensembles together in my mind. This is an easy-breezy addition, because in all likelihood...you already own a T-neck, or two! Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall - The Grey Bag

Soooo, just a bit of PERSONAL PEEK for you.  Me and R.D. Hubby recently borrowed the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy from some really amazing friends and I have two words for you...we're hooked (line and sinker)! A great show! I've heard the first few seasons are stellar compared to the last two...boo.  Oh well, we're enjoying it for now...but what does THIS have to do with today's post!  It's one of the hottest colors for Fall/Winter - Grey!  But not when dealing with a spectacular new frock...oh no! We're chatting about the Number Two Accessory for your Fall/Winter Wardrobe and it's a ravishing Grey Handbag!

Seriously, I couldn't limit myself to just three pictures because grey bags were gallavanting on the arms of gorgeous models in every city, on 50% of the Runways.  Grey bags are where it's AT this coming season.  How well do they go with everything?  Quite possibly, they are...bag...perfection!  They're a neautral shade which means you can pair them with browns, blacks and bright colors. I've provided some amazing speedy-savvy-stylin' below with all bags coming in at well under $1000. There is a bevy of great bags on UBER sale right now! For a killer neautral bag, I'd definitely shell out some moolah for a classic style/shape. This is a must...I expect all of you to sport your grey bag with fashionable pride! Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall - Mini Couture Party Dress and Pointy Toed Pumps

This has to be one of my FAVE posts in the Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall. Why? It totally gets me excited for the Holiday/Fall/Winter Party Season! I'm loving the ultra feminine and classy vibe on the Fall Runways...but this Mini Couture Party Dress branches out a bit. It's your ultimate piece to have so much FUN finding!  Mini dresses are uber hot for Fall so if you like to go short, you're in for a treat. Prints, solids, FALL FLORAL or you might even create your own (you know we love some DO-IT-YOURSELF) by mixing a killer tank and FULL SKIRT with an elegant and statement-making belt.  

What's the perfect way to cap off such fancy party attire?  Classic, pointy-toed pumps...of course! Coming in an array of colors, shades and fabrics, the pointy toed pump is a must-have shoe for Fall/Winter!  It's classic appeal will lend itself well to an array of looks and will also be a great addition to that BLACK LACE dress, as well.  

One thing's definitely certain, it's never too early for a Fall deal and the sales are a-plenty.  Get a couple party frocks under your belt now and you'll be thanking yourself in a few months when all the prices sky-rocket!  As for those pointy toed pumps...I'd actually be surprised if you don't have a pair in the back of your closet.  Clean those puppies off and get them some mileage, pronto! Don't limit yourself by thinking everything needs to match!  Imagine pairing the Blue Ralph Lauren Pumps with the Laundry by Design Taffeta Bubble Dress in Leaf. How adorable would that be? Ok, get to work on that but mostly...enjoy!

Accessory Trend: Bangle Necklace at Dries Van Noten - Do It Yourself

Ayy yay yay!  I'm a big fan of some Do It Yourself magic on this glorious Monday! There are so many Accessory Trends that you just must purchase in order to keep up with the changing styles.  Here's one necklace that will have you squealing with delight...the Dries Van Noten Bangle Necklace from the Fall 2008 Ready to Wear Collection.  

Seriously now, how easy would this be to make?  Just take a chunky short necklace, layer on multiple fave bangles and VOILA - you've got yourself a runway savvy accessory.  I'd actually mix my metallics and maybe don an all black ensemble so the chain was the center of attention. Regardless, I just wanted to share with you that Runway Style isn't always at a steep price! Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall - Black Lace and Pendant Necklace

We're getting very, very close to the Top Three Buys for Fall!  Today, coming in at Number Four we have Black Lace.  Now, we've already mentioned the sexy factor that Black Lace brings into your Fall wardrobe (Here)...so this one shouldn't come as such a shock, to you, dear reader!  Black lace was all over numerous runways and honestly, my peer fashion bloggers lil' fingers are practically falling off just type, type, typin' away about this century-old fabric.  It's definitely making a massive comeback and will be a good go-to choice for a hot date night or a great girls dinner.  What do I love about my black lace pieces?  You can shake your groove thing all night long and that black lace still looks fresh as can be! It's wearability is what impresses me and I feel pretty smokin' in it, too!

Up next, the Pendant Necklace takes over as this season's Statement Necklace. Small pendants, large pendants or even middle of the road...a pendant is a must-have item for your jewelry box, come Fall.  I've included only pictures of rather large pendants on the Fall Runway, above...because for me, the bigger the better!  I tend to wear large pieces when sporting jewelry trends...but please, do know this is something that you can purchase as a petite piece and be just as stylish as ever!  Enjoy!

First Look: Christian Siriano (Project Runway Fame) Exclusively for Bluefly

If you know me, then you KNOW that I just adore all things Christian Siriano.  I made it public that I have a wee-bit of a crush on the cutie and even invited him on a shopping trip, HERE!  We, here at RunwayDaily, ate up his tag phrase, "That's fierce" and knew he'd get FAN FAVE, too!  Yes, Project Runway has cranked out yet another charismatic and colorful fashionista(o) for the public to adore!

So, as I'm sipping on my morning cup of tea and checking my emails, I have a message in my inbox from Bluefly introducing Siriano's new Collection, exclusively for them.  I just had to share!  The line ranges from $96-$590, but ps...it's all 20% off right now!

Article Alert: Michael Kors Gains Inspiration from TV's Mad Men for Fall 2008 Collection

Michael Kors has to be one of my FAVORITE designers, not to mention how much I just love his banter on Project Runway, too!  His keen eye and sophisticated designs always garner a cult following and for Fall 2008, his struck a winning chord, yet again!  Using the hit TV show Mad Men as key inspirational piece, Kors sent model sauntering down his Fall Runway in fitted dresses, sophisticated suits and overall look of wealth and 'put togetherness.'

We featured the much 'talked about' Fall 2008 Michael Kors reading glasses HERE (picture below).  As we're catching up on our Wednesday morning fashion reading...we stumbled upon a THIS GREAT ARTICLE on Style.com by Maya Singer that highlights Kors' love for all things Mad Men and how the hit show inspired his Fall 2008 looks.  Fave quote, via Kors, "You want a tip on looking hot? Wear reading glasses and a fitted dress. Simple." Seriously...how many times have we said, just this! Ahhhh, we're good! But he's better! Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall - Black Dinner Jacket and Thigh-High Boots

Now this is a sexy combo for our Top Ten Buys for Fall.  I just love me the perfect Dinner Jacket.  The no-fuss, goes with EVERYTHING jacket.  I've featured black, but a brown/grey shade would also be a great neutral as well. Satin finishes create a more dressy look and the classic 'suit jacket' shape also fulfill your Fall menswear inspired piece, too.  You might even have a pretty fancy, shmancy jacket that just sits at the back of your closet that would do you some good...come this Fall.  Bust that beaut out and let it roar, Sexxayyy! 

Next up are one of my personal faves for my go-to Fall/Winter staples.  Thigh-high/Over-the-Knee boots are so hot right now!  I've had a pair for some time (very similar to those Agyness Deyn is wearing above on the Fendi runway, above) but mine are beige!  I pair them with all my winter white and feel like an angel amidst all the black/grey.  Do super high-heeled for a hot date night or do a flat version for wearability and casual daytime wear!  Be careful with this one...you wouldn't want people wondering where your whip/'cuffs are...enjoy!

We're already at number 6 and I dearly hope these Fall Fashion Wardrobe Essentials are getting you ready for Fall's cooler temps and incredible new looks.  Coming into play, today, we have the very versatile Favorite Sweater.  This can be a V-neck CARDIGAN, a long and lean button-up Cable-Knit or the perfect slouchy throw-over.  Whatever your style, sweaters were a MUST on all the Fall Runways so make sure to add a few more into your wardrobe soon.

What's up next?  Onto the accessories department and we've already discussed our adoration for PRINTED and COLORED tights...soooooo, we make them a must for Fall, too!  They were absolutely ravishing, bold and oh so much fun to watch galavant down the Fall Runways.  They add that POP of Fall color to any ensemble and they're a sure-fire way to garner some serious attention too!  Be daring...grab a pair and sport them with your favorite FULL skirt from Spring or that new FALL FLORAL piece too!  Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: Top Ten Buys for a Fashionable Fall - Feminine Blouse and Long Gloves

These are definitely two of my hottest pieces for Fall!  We're moving right along, my fashionistas, as we're onto numero siete! How unexpected is a feminine blouse, really? And, let me just tell you, it was ALL OVER the Fall Runways.  I had an extremely hard time only picking three images, as I had over 10 picked out and had to deliberate for a few minutes.  Hence the term, 'Blouse is HOT' for Fall, me ladies! Make sure to add a good one into your monthly rotation and sport it with a high waisted pencil skirt or killer trousers (more about those, later).

Next addition for your hot and fashionable Fall wardrobe has to be long gloves. Seriously, they are just smokin' in their sex appeal and well...as any geisha would tell, showing the bottom of your wrists is one of the SEXIEST things you can do!  So pour on that musky Fall perfume, slip on those long gloves and gallivant around town, like the swan you ARE...enjoy!

And we're onto Number Eight for hot items to BUY NOW for Fall's Fiercest Fashions!  Today, rockin' the eight-spot is Fall Floral.  We've sang FLORALS many praises for nearly a YEAR now...so feminine, fun and all the rage, at the moment.  It was a surprise to see numerous designers put their floral foot forward, even on the Fall Runways.  We were all smiles.  The florals weren't like their Spring Sisters: bright and cheery.  They took on a more moody/dark feel.  We're already stock-piling now for the best Fall Florals out there!

Up next, in the accessory category, are the ever-popular but MUST HAVE item for Fall; the Shoe Boot.  So versatile and fun, they honestly go with everything!  You probably already have a pair and have sported then with skirts, dresses, trousers and skinny jeans.  Black will go with everything, but why not branch out and dare to bare a grey pair.  I'm sure they'll gain you many a compliment and get some good Fall/Winter mileage!  Enjoy!

So we're moving on up...we're at number NINE today!  Chatting about plaid again...just want to reiterate it's resurgence on the Fall Runway.  Over a dozen designers featured plaid looks.  I've previously mentioned that I'm mad for plaid HERE, HERE and HERE...so do take notes and add a piece, or two, into your fall wardrobe, pronto!  Now is the time to buy plaid, as the sales are hot and there's so much to choose from! How adorable is a plaid shirt with cut-offs and gladiators for summer?  One word - VERY!

Next up...your number NINE accessory for Fall; a masculine inspired flat.  I've told you that lace-up OXFORDS are beyond adorable; HERE and HERE.  Now I want you to know that you have other options. You can/should also venture into the menswear inspired loafers, drivers and up-and-coming penny loafers! Seriously, mark my words, they're going to be HUGE!  Sport them with any of your favorites, but make sure to add some feminine flair to offset their masculinity!  Enjoy!

What to Buy Now: Checkered/Sqaure Print Pieces

Ay yay, yay! Hey you, ready for a game of checkers? Every year at Thanksgiving, my late Grandfather used to challenge all of his grandkids to a pretty intense game of checkers. Sometimes he'd let us win...but most of time, he'd seal the deal. He was awesome at checkers and scrutinizingly thought through his every move. Well, now knowing that tidbit of a PERSONAL PEEK, you can easily gather that I'm rather fond of anything checkered! And recently, glancing through the Fall 2008 Runway shows, I was overflowing with glee as look after look dashed down the catwalk covered in the colorful, fun-filled print.

Both Marni and Christian Lacroix released their inner square via their whimsical checkered prints. Do they tickle your fancy like they do for me? First Look: Nina Ricci Resort 2009 - Yellow Heels

Ahhhh...summer is upon us and with it comes bright colors, warm breezes and FUN heels to show off those tan gams! We've already told you about our love for a SMYD (Statement-Making Yellow Dress) in the past. More recently, I've been searching for the perfect pair of yellow heels. My search actually began years ago with one of my close friends wore the CUTEST pair in her engagement pics. I've been lusting for a glamorous, yet wearable pair, ever since!

Recently breezing through the Nina Ricci Resort Collection...I gasped when I noticed that many of the looks were topped off with yellow stunners! So appropriate for Resort wear and so appropriate for summ, summ, summa time! So, some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you below, all under $50...you're welcome! This will be an easy-breezy and bright addition and such a great summer statement piece to galavant around town in. 

I'm racing out the door as one of my fave girls is in town for a few days! We're off to hit up Haight Street and we 100% have our sights set of some great vintage finds to bring home. Wish me luck and enjoy!
