First Look: Killer Scarves from the Fall Runway Shows

Scarves on the fall 2008 runway - how to wear it

Woo woo, woo woo! I love me a killer scarf! Seriously, so chic and so accessible...scarves come in every shape, color, print and texture imaginable. This Fall, scarves were worn in ways that even I have never sported, but I wanted to be sure to share them with you...pronto!

Above, some scarf looks to wet your palette. Big and bulky was a surefire highlight on the runway. So warm and cozy, you can almost get lost in these scarves. Cross your heart is a scarf tying trick that I will be sure to emulate soon. Easy, breezy...just tie a big knot and pull the front flap over. LONG SCARVES are back again this season...but I just adored the tucked in versions, too. How chic is this? I can't wait to tuck my scarf into the lapels of my fitted blazers and then cinch it all together with a big belt...so stylish and put together! More to come, below...

Scarves were even seen wrapped tightly around the neck, in a fringed belted version and also in a triangular look that resembles the VERY CONTROVERSIAL keffiyeh (that I love to don). How about just wrapping until you're out of scarf and then tucking the ends? Love that look (above, bottom left). And not to worry your pretty lil' head...the scarves have that covered too, along with your LADY-LIKE shoulders.

So, as you can see, the scarf is a functional piece that I tend to love to use in numerous ways and not just as a Cali cool fashion statement. I've provided some stellar speedy-savvy-stylin' below with some great deals and eye-catching scarves. Even if it is blazing hot where you are, use an adorable scarf as a makeshift picnic blanket or beach cover-up! Enjoy!
