Gold Star Celeb Style: Best Dressed Leading Ladies from MTV's The Hills Finale

Gold start style - the hills

So last night was the season finale of The Hills and RunwayDaily Fam was glued to the television. Well, one member was...Hub was busy wrapping presents and lil' Zola was snoozing on my lap. I actually DO think all five of these girls have great personal style...but one of them sparkled and shined at the finale. Miss Lauren Conrad looked ravishing for sure! I loved her pink lips, tousled hair, golden/glittering mini and gilded arm band. She really did look pretty as can be.

I also adored certain aspects of the other four ladies. Audrina's grecian gown and rosy blush were very, very sexy (isn't she always). Lo's yellow skirt is to-die-for cute. Heidi was sporting a flapper-esque gown with tons of flirty fringe. Last but not least, Whitney (deemed the new Carrie Bradshaw by Page Six) is always one to take a chance and her headwear choice was a bit wack but also cute. Not sure if you tuned in, or not...but we're handing out some golf claps to Miss Conrad and the rest of the girls for another successful and positively stylish season of The Hills.

Fab Winter Fash: Three Levels of Sheer Black Dresses

Levels of black sheer

Wow! W-o-w is all I have to say about Lily Allen's choice of frock. Not my style, not something I'd wear. But good on her for braving the never-ending London cold...galavanting around town in THAT! Yep, Lily garnered some serious attention and gained the title of risqué from us! Though RD Hubby says he thinks it's, "Just fine!"

Which level are you? I'd say that I'm usually sassy but could occasionally branch out to the sexy level. Regardless, this is a look that is here to stay and is a perfect way to mix in a sly lil' LBD twist for that upcoming New Years party! Some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you going...enjoy!

Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Colored Tights = Winter Fun

Colored tights for winter and how to wear them

(Click Thumbnails to be Directed to ShopStyle for Info & to BUY!)

You know I love me some tights...I've featured them HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE. So, this should be old hat to you! But...today I wanted to feature some of my favorite color combos from the Fall runway shows for your viewing pleasure. They're simply stunning and very easy to emulate, both on your own and via my speedy-savvy-stylin' above!

Glancing way above, I'm totally digging the boho-chic at Gucci...all that fringe and suede-goodness. Not to mention that fur jacket...yum, love it! Some other subtle and very wearable tight colors were featured at Fendi, Luella and Proenza Schouler. Now, there is no reason that you shouldn't sport a killer pair of colored tights this winter! Enjoy!

How to Wear It: Oversized Earrings - Just Like Beyonce

Beyonce in big earrings

Beyonce's accessory closet (and you KNOW she has one) is one I'd just love to raid. She always seems to correctly well, accessorize, her every ensemble. We've chatted HERE about oversized chandelier earrings and I thought I'd also give you a lil' Beyonce collage...just to jog your memory. Big and funky earrings can take the simplest LBD and make it into the hit of the party. So, should you not have the moolah to splurge on a new Holiday dress this year, don't fret...get some oversized earrings and you're fresh as can be!

Article Alert: Take Holiday Basics from Blah to Bravo - via Glamour Magazine

Make basics BRAVO

I about stopped in my 'reading' tracks when I saw this incredibly useful layout in Glamour's January issue (with Brit Brit on the cover). I cut it out and am totally going to reference it on those days where I hate my closet. Then I got to thinking, why in the world would I NOT share it with you. There are other great articles so make sure to pick up a copy, as they truly do show you 100 outfits that are already in your closet and maybe you haven't paired up, just yet.

Well, well...take a look above at all the basics you already own, but maybe in a different hue. White T shirt and button up, a blazer, lady-like sheath dress, comfy flats, fave black boots, everyday hobo bag, your go-to black belt, statement making long cardigan...I can go on and on and ON!!! It's incredibly refreshing to see numerous new ways to pair your basics together, isn't it? I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you going, all under $50 except for the polka dot skirt...but also make sure to click HERE to see a few more looks via Glamour Magazine (they wouldn't all fit). I know you'll enjoy!

Personal Peek: Christmas Gifts for Our Furry Baby - Zola Belle the Yorkie

Zola

I don't even think LOVE covers it...adoration, obsession and complete happiness is what R.D. family feels for our little Zola Belle. I know, I know...I'm one of those annoying, dog-obsessed people. But honestly, she's so precious that it's nearly impossible not to just eat her face off! Even R.D. Hubby tells me how much he loves our Zola Belle, the world's most perfect teenie, tiny Yorkshire Terrier puppy.

We got her on October 12th and our lives are forever changed. In addition to our adorable niece Minnie, Zola is next on our list to be spoiled this Christmas. She's got her own stocking and already has a few gifts wrapped under the tree. Zola is also playing Santa too this year and has gotten gifts for all her animal cousins as well.

I've done some creative speedy-savvy-stylin' below to remind you to not overlook all the furry loves in your life. During this time of year I really do make sure to tell all those around me how thankful I am for them. R.D. Hubby and I are very thankful for how much JOY our itty bitty Zola Belle has brought into our lives. As for the Louis Vuitton carrier...a girl can dream, right? Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essential: All That Glitters is Gold

Golden dresses from the fall runway

All is golden today. Gold flooded the Fall 2008 runways and I'm going to show you how to incorporate it into your Holiday wardrobe. It's such a great festive color and garners a sense of regality too. If you already own a gilded goodie, make sure to rotate it in over the Holidays. Sport a golden dress similar to the looks above. Don't have one? Some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you going.

(Click Thumbnails to be Directed to ShopStyle for Info & to BUY!)

Ok, so maybe a subtle touch of gold is more your style. Take notes from the runway looks below. Golden pieces (top) or touches (second collage) add some shimmer/glimmer to any Holiday ensemble. I absolutely love the show-stopping Abaeté skirt and the Duro Olowu dress. Those are my fave from the layouts, which are yours? I've been sweet for you again...and added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below with some statement making golden pieces for you to breeze through.

If you still aren't sold on the golden goodies above...I can say this is your safest bet to add a bit of golden goodness to your everyday looks. Accessories (below) were also shimmering in golden hues on the Fall Runway. You know my love of GLOVES and Christian Lacroix's long golden version is tres chic, indeed. Those would be daring, but sure to garner some attention. So, my loyal readers...I've given you numerous options and should you be one of my gorgeous southern hemisphere readers...how about a golden bikini to show off that tan? Enjoy!

How to Wear It: Sequined Leggings à la Ford Model Paloma

As many of you already know, I spent a year abroad in Australia right after college. To my delight, the adorable Ford Model featured in this video is one precious Ozzie chick. I am such a sucker for Paloma's accent but I also adore what she is featuring this week: Sequined Leggings.

Do I own a pair? No. But this video makes me much more enthusiastic and open to the array of different options for pairing with these sparkly goodies. RunwayDaily fam is off to get some Christmas shopping done today, so I'll keep this short and sweet. S-s-s below to get Paloma's casual-party ready looks and always, enjoy!

Fab Winter Fash: The Lady Tux à la Three Top Models

Models in lady tux

Sooooo, the Holiday Parties have officially begun and my wardrobe just isn't looking overly exciting to me, at the moment. Ever share in that, "I hate my clothes" feeling? Well, I'm here to save the day as I have a great and funky option for the cocktail dress: The Lady Tux! We've mentioned Tuxedo pieces and their obvious sex appeal HERE and HERE! So, dress it up with metallic accessories, an up 'do and splendid makeup or go more casual in comfy heels, laid back jacket and loose strands.

Both Liya and Jessica give you a perfect palette for the more casual approach, above. I love how Agyness paired some red flair and red lips with her more dressy ensemble. How would you style your Lady Tux? Most likely you already have a tuxedo jacket so just pair it with your favorite black jeans or black harem pants and you have yourself and trendy and noticeable alternative to any Holiday Party attire! I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get your Lady Tux shopping jump started! Enjoy!

Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Sweater Chic for Fall/Winter à la Penelope, Heidi, Nicole, Kate, Jessica and Kirsten

Celebs in sweaters

So I just adore a good sweater. You know how you just hold on and hold and hold on to a great sweater. Well, I already have quite a few of them and always feel so snuggly, warm and chic because these classic pieces just don't go out of style. But I also like to splurge on a more trendy sweater at the start of every Fall. I've gotten a few already, one was a gorgeous grey one from my parents as a Birthday gift that I wear so often. But since I've moved to San Francisco, I've realized I can actually wear sweaters year round. Not like growing up in Florida and moving sweaters to the front of my closet for only a few months. Nope, sweaters are a constant in this girl's wardrobe.

So, I was glancing through some different Fall/Winter appropriate celebrity looks and I wanted to share some of my fave ensembles that also include a sweater! Layering, plays on color and stripes are what I tend to gravitate towards. My fave from the above collage for functionality and day-to-night wear is probably Kate Bosworth. I love her TURQUOISE heels and light wash jeans, paired surprisingly with MAROON pieces that I adore. So, I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below...but it's not the normal kind. I've chosen every single look because I LOVE the styling in the thumbnail. Sometimes awesome styling in an online picture really makes/breaks whether or not I purchase a piece. Enjoy and get cozy in a warm Winter sweater, soon!
