Yours truly had the great pleasure of meeting with team Polyvore recently. It was a day filled with laughter, brainstorming and fashion. Why did I meet with them? We were discussing how to better tailor their product for fashion bloggers worldwide. I got a sneak peek of some new technology and also got to chat about future collaboration between both companies...coming soon!
Maybe you're not a devoted reader of RWD and are saying to yourself, 'What the heck is Polyvore?' Let me take the time to introduce you. It was so interesting to see the inner workings at Polyvore and meet the team. They were kind, friendly and filled with fresh ideas. They sent me away with an adorable tote and notepad that I adore...I'm such a sucker for free stuff, ha! Seriously, I'll carry that bag everywhere (yay for free advertising for them) as it already made an appearance this past weekend at a music festival. Polyvore...thank you so much for opening up your workspace, schedule and inviting us down to chat. Cheers to you!

Check out TARGET's clearance section of shoes...just a minor sampling of some of my fave (above) and check out the stellar prices, too. Thanks RWD Mom for alerting me to this great sale. Chictopia Fashion Darlings - Inspirational Street Style

Readers...I'd like to welcome you to my latest addiction - Chictopia! I'm totally a newbie and just getting started (so no judgments if you're a hardcore user and have this site figured out). I have actually spent the last few days perusing through all the fabulous ensembles that fellow fashion addicts have put together and I'm beyond impressed. No, not just for the die hard stylists, this site also caters to those just searching for inspiration or a great indie find. I'm going to be featuring some of my fave looks from time to time. Today's crew consists of six stellar ensembles that I will be emulating pronto.
First up, Frickys adorable look is fun, playful but tailored with the addition of the boyfriend blazer. I love the LAYERED CHAINS and her OVERSIZED BAG is perfect for a day out shopping. Jetaimelovely is the next fashion darling who caught my eye. Her own quote made me laugh on this aptly named Floral Friday look, 'I should wear red lipstick more often. I think I'd feel cooler.' Yep, love her already. Plus...her distressed denim and STRAP HAPPY sandals are such a nice touch.
NASTYGAL (upper right) has got some serious style and guess where girlfriend hails from...right here in the bay area (woot woot!) I had a hard time choose WHICH look from her lookbook to post. In the end, her adorable ANKLE CUFF sandals grabbed my eye and her minimal accessories and perfect layering are so chic. Moving on to WickedPlumVintage (bottom left) as I just adore a good floral with boots and this look is styled supremely well.
Jujubabyy looks smashing in her cropped SEQUINED jacket. Her nameplate necklace is oh so fly like Lauren Conrad and her grey T and minimal black bottom half draw your eyes upward. (PS - lady is wearing her colors proudly as she's an LA fashionista supporting her Lakers in the Finals...lovin' it!) Lastly, Noirohio caught my attention right off the bat...although I don't have tattoos, I kind of think they're badass. Mix those daring gams with some impeccable personal styling and that would be her!
Pssst, she's got a blog...definitely an intoxicating/fashionable lady I'll be keeping an eye on! Enjoy and become inspired via Chictopia's Fashion Darlings! Also, if I were to add some pieces to my wardrobe as a result from the inspiration I got from the above six fashionable ladies...naturally, here they are:

First Look: Taylor Swift's "Thug Story" Makes RWD Laugh
A little hump day pick me up...you know my love of all things T. Swift! I adore that her MOM makes a cameo too...hilarious! Seriously, she is the cutest thing in the whole world! Recently RWD Fam was over at a friend's house and this here girl impressed everyone with her rapping skillz...it's not as easy as T. Swift makes it look! If someone handed me a petite, tiny and ladylike pair of diamond studs or the biggest, boldest and flashiest chandelier earrings...I'd go with the latter, every-time. I love big and bold. I love bright and statement making. I'm pumped to see the Spring, Fall and Resort Runways chock full of statement making jewels. They scream, 'the bigger the better!' And that, my dear readers, is my summer motto! (Not in pants size, but in earring diameter, for sure!) Wardrobe Essential: Perfect Summer Sandal - Splurge or Steal?

This is the exact question I ask myself every year...because in my mind, summer perfection starts with a perfect sandal. The sandal you can wear with jeans and T or dress up with the perfect cocktail dress. The perfect summer sandal is a year-round search for extreme comfort but also not forgoing style. I'm a girl that doesn't like to break the bank on purchases, but for those of you who are willing to spend BIG on this wardrobe essential, I've provided some splurgin'-savvy-stylin' below. All sandals are coming in at $250 or more. If you purchase, be sure to take a pic in your new kicks and tag RWD in the photo on Facebook. Might just see your sweet ensemble on RWD.
If your more budget minded like me, I've also provided some speedy-savvy-stylin' that rings in under $50. So many adorable looks in this category too...but make sure to breeze through both sections. T-shirt ANYTHING is fabulous for summer time. Breathable cotton is perfect for those scorching months and thankfully t-shirts are now a go to item for dressing up and dressing down...I love it! I have way too many t-shirts to count, both printed and solid colored. Always on the lookout for a new version, I'm adoring the flock of printed T-shirt dresses that have popped up on my fashion radar recently. Make a statement without staying anything...and add minimal accessories and skedaddle out of the house looking fashionable and put together.
I have a few solid colored t-shirt dresses and...I love them. It's time to add a printed version and my speedy-savvy-stylin' has me eyeing the Lauren Moshi Happy Face version. I'd most likely wear it over my white skinnies similar to the look Emily Deschanel is donning above. I also love how the other three looks are mini versions and the gams are the statement maker. Either way you sport your version...make sure to add this into your summer rotation pronto. Enjoy!

When I saw Phillip Lim's 2010 Resort Collection I seriously wished I'd won the lottery yesterday so I could scoop up every single piece. Chic separates with an obvious theme inspired by swashbuckling pirates...love it. The SHEER LACE pieces are stunning as are the wearable and on-trend rolled hems on many pants and shorts. The casual knits are a go-to piece for any summer wardrobe and the rock-on tee is a spunky addition. Love the entire collection and tried to put together my own 3.1 inspired pieces below, all under $100. But seriously, although you just can't mess around with the fashion perfection that's now Mr. Lim...we can always try to emulate. Enjoy!

Muse of the Moment: Lauren Conrad

Lately we've been chatting about SUMMER DRESSES and who better to be our most recent muse than Lauren Conrad, a lady who loves a good dress. Maxi, mini, sophisticated or lady-like...Miss Conrad always looks smashing in her dress choices. I also love that she sports leggings, skinny jeans and cute shorts/skirts quite frequently too. Why is she our recent muse? The way she pairs pieces together re-inspires even the most chic dresser to change...it...up.
Example? She was snapped matching her bright yellow flats to her adorable headband (above, bottom right). She sported the same ensemble below (middle) and mixed it up by pairing it with maroon heels, a sassy arm cuff and a new Chanel bag (must be nice). Yes, she's THAT lady that mixes and matches in brilliant ways! I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below that all rings in under $50. They're all pieces I could totally see Conrad sporting with style. Enjoy and bravo Miss Conrad. We sure will miss 'style stalking' you on The Hills.
