Wanting/Wishing/Wearing: Laid Back Summer Style on the Streets of Mallorca

Europoean summer style

Ok, I swear...this is one of my last summer fashion posts but a - I couldn't resist these cruisy looks and b - I just don't want summer to end. The spanish island getaway of Mallorca is the backdrop for today's real style feature. Sun worshippers and laid back casual looks are what women tend to sport in this everyday heaven. Glancing above, I'd love to mention a few notes on why these six looks were deemed my top fave from the streets and beaches of Mallorca.

1. Show a little shouler in your striped t-shirt...cut off the neck and pair it with your fave denim shorts.

2. I seriously WANT this entire ensemble...ethnic and pretty dress, stunning thongs and pefect watch/shades!

3. That hat...that bag...that dress...that color red (on fingers and toes)...not much this lady love can do wrong, in my fashion loving eyes.

4. Black and white perfection...check the matching bag. For some reason, it's not too much or overkill in my eyes. Plus I love the sleek headband and big sunnies...so Jackie O.

5. Now this is probably what I'd sport on a daily basis. Fave T, best cutoffs and perfect white flops...the roomy straw beach bag rocks too! If you were wondering if this cutie was a local...you're absoltuely RIGHT!

6. Again, I just love the entire look. A layered tank under a breezy dress, a huge beach bag, perfect face-framing sunnies and most of all, those beaded sandals!

So, as summer wraps up I'll only be posting a few more times on looks appropriate for warmer temps. Shortly, fall looks will flood RWD and we'll have to wait yet another 6 months to bust out those itsy bitsy bikinis...just trying to enjoy/soak up every last minute of it! Enjoy!

First Look: Fall 2009 Trends - Corset Dressing is Sexy, Sultry and Oh So Hot!

I absolutely love this hot...new...fall...trend! Ahhhh, so sexy and sultry. Throw the corset over a t-shirt and have a laid back look. Pair the corset dress with a hot little leather jacket and what a saucy combo. I'm absolutely in love with the runway looks above. Every single one is such a great combo to emulate, from the jeans and red combo at D&G to sneaking a corset over an all black combo and under a trench at Fendi.

Also, Hussein Chalayan's mini-dress is perfect for a hot date night and Richard Nicoll's pairing of corset and metallic skirt has me wanting more. I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you going but be sure to scoop at lease one corseted goodie up for Fall. They're gonna be hot, hot...HOT! Enjoy!

It's that glorious time of year again. When all the September magazine issues start flooding the RWD mailbox...when morning shows are chock-full of 'how to's' for top Fall styles and well...we here at RWD are delighted to bring to you our Top 10 picks for a trendsetting Fall. Most budgets are still tight and none of us are shopping as much as we used to, so you can snatch up my speedy-savvy-stylin' for under $100 for each of the Top Ten posts.

Glance above and notice that numerous designers showed looks that ranged from rocker chic to biker brigade and all the stops in between. Tough leather, motorcycle style boots, studs, grommets and fringe were all key style notes when RWD delved through the Fall Collections. This is such an easy look to emulate...a white T-shirt, black skinny jeans and that rugged black leather jacket would even do the trick! Check out my one-stop shopping below to create an entire ensemble for mere pennies. Enjoy!

Miley Cyrus has always sported Max Azria designs at some of the BIGGEST red carpet appearances. Embodying a fabulous designer/artist relationship, I was thrilled to hear the duo were introducing an affordable collection for Fall. I'm so ready to go to Walmart...right...now. Am I a dork? Do you also see so many of these pieces transitioning nicely into your Fall wardrobe? Yep, I'm sold. Featured above, ten pieces that I adore. From the woven buffalo plaid tunic for $12 to the yellow loose fitting tie-dye tank for $6...this collection is sure to fly off shelves.

Miley Cyrus is known as a fashion trendsetter for teens and has a rocker-chic vibe that I respect. And you already KNOW my adoration for all things Max Azria. So in my mind, an awesome marriage of two fabulously chic minds. Get yourself to Walmart and spruce up your wardrobe for mere dollars...enjoy!

Chictopia Fashion Darlings - Inspirational Street Style: How to Wear a Printed Summer Skirt

Chictopia - printed skirt darlings

Readers...I'd like to welcome you to my latest addiction - Chictopia! I'm totally a newbie and just getting started (so no judgments if you're a hardcore user and have this site figured out). I have actually spent the last few days perusing through all the fabulous ensembles that fellow fashion addicts have put together and I'm beyond impressed. No, not just for the die hard stylists, this site also caters to those just searching for inspiration or a great indie find. I'm going to be featuring some of my fave looks from time to time. Today's crew consists of six stellar ensembles that all incorporate a fun printed summer skirt. I look I'll be emulating pronto.

Let me first of all give you these fashonistas page links so you can browse through their other stellar stylish looks and leave some comments. Chictopia users love some commenting:

1. MySaraHsb
2. ankacookie
3. katiewinn
4. rahpunen
5. margiemermaid
6. underthestares

Pretty, frilly, fancy and fun...print skirts are perfect to don all summer long. Short and sweet or longer and poufy, you just can't go wrong. The best thing about this article of clothing...it's transitional. You can still sport it during fall, winter and spring too. Just pair it with your fave thigh-high boots or your favorite tights. There are so many equisite ways to wear a printed skirt, so I thought some 'real women' inspiration would be the easiest way for you to see how to style it all yours. Enjoy and make sure to breeze through my speedy-savvy-stylin' below...all skirts under $100. So worth every transitional penny!
