Copy-Cat(walk): Chris Benz Inspires Big Hat Love in London on Jaeger London's Fall Runway

Oh boy...we got another Copy-Cat in the HOUSE! Jaeger London showed an entire Fall Collection complete with over 15 floppy, look-alike Chris Benz Spring 2008 hats. Though the all-women Jaeger design team enlisted British milliner, Stephen Jones, to work his hat-making magic...I do want to point out the obvious similarities between the two!

Fashion combined with function is set aside when these exaggerated versions come to life...I'd be tripping everywhere if I actually sported one of these magnificent, full-brimmed, works of art. So, what do you think? Is the Copy-Cat strikingly apparent to you? Lastly, we all know many designers are inspired by their peers work on a constant basis...but do you think Jaeger went to far?

Copy-Cat(walk): Balenciaga's Spring 2008 Collection "Influences" Fall 2008 Pieces for Vivienne Tam and Bill Blass

So what do we have here? Well, breezing through all the Fall Collections...I stumbled upon some potential Copy-Cat material. I'll let you be the judge...but if my eyes serve me right, Vivienne Tam and Bill Blass sent looks down the Fall 2008 Runway that looked a wee-bit similar to those seen on Balenciaga's Spring 2008 Runway, last September!

The colors, big shoulders, full skirt and even two of the cuts are DEAD ON! So, once again, I'm all for finding inspiration from other Collections...but do you think Vivienne Tam and Bill Blass went a bit too far? Always something new to ponder...in the ever-changing world of FASHION!

Copy-Cat(walk): Burberry Prorsum Spring 2008 "Influences" Rag & Bone Fall 2008

Burberry Prorsum's Spring 2008 Collection was one of the sexiest yet. It turned heads and critics adored the new rocker-chic spin on the classic labels accouterment. To say the least, and the most, in a few words...it got some SERIOUS attention.

But do, my loves, take a look at both ensembles above! Burberry sent out their look, obviously last fall, via gorgeous gazelle Agnete Hegelund...and just breezing through the Rag & Bone Fall 2008 Collection...I gasped! There, in front of me, is Margaryta Senchylo in a Rag & Bone ensemble that is unmistakably similar on so many levels!

Now, I'm all about design houses finding 'inspiration' through other's work, but I feel this is a bit too close for comfort. What do you think? Is it a match or does it slip by, unnoticed?

Regardless, Rag & Bone's Fall 2008 Collection is fresh, fun and very 'new' so this was the only stand-out for a Copy-Cat(walk) look! I'll let this be your call. I'm just here to "point out" the obvious similarities between these two looks, because it's apparent! I'll leave you with the fact that I totally respect both Collections/designers on a very high level!

COPY-CAT(walk): Chanel's Cap-Toed Shoes

Chanel_cap_toed_shoes_on_the_runway

There's NO denying it...they've been around for a long while and they are HERE to stay, forever! Chanel's cap-toed kicks are SUPREMELY stylish and you need to get your hands on a pair (or a version) ASAP! As you can see, way below, via my speedy-savvy-stylin', your choices are far from minimal and the different ways you can pair your "cappies" just never ends. Celebs have been spotted everywhere sporting the coveted Chanel goody-goody two-shoes, seen below!!

I love the ultimate femme version; the classic ballet flat BUT I'm totally enjoying the killer knee-high boot/bootie versions as well (above). I just have to point out to you again that Chanel released their pre-Fall 2008 Collection and lay-dees, the cap-toed version was...none other than...a low-heeled OXFORD!!! Check it out above, upper right! One things certain, this look is classic, sleek and oh so appropriately paired with the über popular menswear inspired looks! What do ya say, CAP(tain)? Get your hands on some cap-toed kicks, pronto!
