All that glitters is...GOLD!! I love me some gold gowns and wow-wee do I have some great looks and inspiration, just for YOU today! Seriously, celebs have been sporting this look for a few seasons now, as well as numerous Runway appearances...so what better time to jump on the bandwagon than this Holiday Season! Pair your gold mini with some opaque tights and cute heels, a la Lucy Liu and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Go all out GORGEOUS in a long gown like Cate Blanchett and Beyonce...they are just positively radiant on the red carpet. We've given the GOLD STAR of Style to the always trendy Lauren Conrad. Her strappy ankle-wrapped heels and pony-tail make the look fun and flirty...and dare we mention the length of her mini? Girls got legs, show them off!
I'm also totally loving some of the Runway looks below too. Look at the FRINGED dress (bottom right) at Behnaz Sarafpour...I've posted/told you before, fringe is in! The gold brocade is also eye catching via Elie Saab's banded waist dress (upper right) and at Burberry, in the form of a killer DOUBLE-BREASTED skirt-coat. So naturally, I've given you some great speedy-savvy-stylin' to get going on this trend. I'm totally lusting after the Fighting Eel Lola Dress in Gold Lame. How sexy and HOT is that for a Holiday Party? Just remember, my golden girls, 'tis the season to glimmer and shine bright! Gold gowns are a sure-fire way to stand out among a sea of LBDs!

No, no...get your dirty mind out of the gutter! Not here, my dear, will you EVER see NUDEY pics...just not my style! What then, are we talking about here? Boots, boots, boots! Celebs have been sporting boots in nude and tan shades, as of recent. I seriously have a pair of heeled tan boots and a nude flate pair that are rotated into my weekly ensembles with obsessive frequency so let me just say, they are a STAPLE for my fall and winter wardrobes. L-O-V-E them! But so many times everyone needs a little boot-to-the-bootie (aka - kick in the butt) to see what staples are current while also being a classic piece! Voila, a nude or tan boot! There is virtually NOTHING you can't pair them with. Finish off all your "Winter White" looks with these killer kick choices below and a stunning ensemble is a sure-fire definite (channeling Jessica Simpson stunning look in this previous post).
Gold Stars of Style were awarded to Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel below for their gorgeous Loeffler Randall flat boots...über chic and comfort isn't even a question. They are TOP of my LIST for personal Christmas Cravings! You MUST check out some serious steals and deals, below, via my speedy-savvy-stylin'! I must take a second to point out Hilary Duff's precous Minnetonkas below, upper right. "The most comfortable shoe you will ever own" - RunwayDaily's Mom. Laced-up and to the knee is also something I have my eyes peeled for this Holiday Season! And dare I forget, Britney Spears also made our layout! Though I'm as SICK of those boots as you are, they do fit this post category so I gotta give the gal credit for once...neck-down, she's lookin' acceptable, yall! All jokes aside...listen up, you need to get booted for sure! Just make sure it's nude or tan!

Ooh lah lah! Paris Fashion Week came alive, in a sexy way, with some really seductive laced-up pieces. From corset belts at Jean Paul Gaultier and Balmain to laced-up long/mini skirts at Yohji Yamammoto and Rick Owens, numerous designers added a new twist on cinching in their pieces. I certainly have my eyes on these laced-up leather corset belts, since I've been lusting over Dolce & Gabbana's metal version, and all it's expensive-ness, for-evvvv-verrr! Seriously, you know these just scream sexy for the obvious idea that un-lacing = un-dressing!!! The pants that graced the runway for Balmain (below, left) are a bit too hippy-hippy-shake (Sienna? You could work it girl!) for my liking...but to each, her own! I do firmly remember my first bridal magazine and asking the hubby which gown he liked best...every single time he'd pick the one with the laced-up back, saying it was very sexy! Just wanted to highlight some laced-up style that's boho-chic, western and S&M all at once! Below, some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you...pieces can truly be found at high/low prices everywhere. I'll leave this one up to your own personal-style rules, but be sure to incorporate at least ONE sexy laced-up piece into your fall rotation, even if just in stunning accessory form!

Appearing on the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 Runways were one of my FAVE hat-styles of all time: the CLOCHE hat. I just adore it! (sidenote: I'm sooooo VERY over fedoras so I willingly promote ANYTHING else to wear on our heads!) Über-popular in the 20's, the cloche is recognizable from it's fitted, bell-shaped design. It's designed to be worn really low on the forehead with the wearer's eyes peeking out slightly under the brim. It alludes to a mystifying and curious feel...as you really want to see the rest of the face under that brim! Traditionally made of felt, cloches adorned the Runways in other fabrics with some added embellishments as well. Complimenting everything from fall's comfy SWEATER DRESS to the hottest NAVY or GREEN frocks...cloches are your greatest, multi-seasonal investment. Tired eyes, bad hair day or sans makeup = "cloche to the rescue" every-time! Included, some speedy-savvy-stylin' for ya...check second-hand/thrift stores too, for a rare vintage piece that NO ONE else will walk by you on the streets sporting...cause I'm tellin' ya, these will be the BIG thing soon!

Christina Aguilera, Dita Von Teese, Jennifer Garner, Eva Herzigova, Tinsley Mortimer and Tory Burch recently stepped out in a trend I mentioned in an earlier post; RED & GREY!! The color-combo truly plays off one another so well, doesn't it? You have that pop of bright color (red) and the subtleness of 'the' great neutral (grey) coming together and combining for a fresh FALL combo. Each celeb/designer interpreted the look very differently, but all receive kudos, from us, for looking sleek, stylish and oh so trendy. Easy to emulate for sure...scour your closet and combine your grey and red pieces for today's hottest new combo.
Sidenote: Eva is already carrying one of the BOLD new accessories (lucky gal) from the 2008 Spring Runway...click HERE and then the jump to find out which designer it is!

So naturally, I love to watch and scour through photos of Runway Shows...but many times the looks are unattainable or quite frankly, don't cross-over well into everyday life. I'm here to show you looks that work GREAT in your everyday wardrobe at WAY WAY WAAAAY better prices!
Some looks to inspire you for sure. Fall is here and in full swing which means LAYERING! It's honestly an art form, but added inspiration to re-think your technique is always needed. So here it is! Nicole Miller showed some amazing skill in her Fall 2007 Collection, layering unexpected pieces to create looks that are chic, comfortable and have stand-out style. I've re-created three different looks below to show you that Runway looks can become a reality in your everyday wardrobe. Long black skirt, metallic skirt, little black jumper and classic white shirts round out your 'go-to' pieces for your 'Nicole Miller' Holiday season. Some added charm (fun hats) and metallic touches (chain necklace and big gold belt buckle) bring each ensemble up a notch for accentuated glamour! Remember all pieces can be interchanged too. Add the belt to the jumper look to accentuate the waist or place the sheer white-T under the nude colored top in the metallic skirt look for added warmth! Hope you're as inspired as I am to recreate these trendy looks, a la Nicole Miller!
Nicole Miller Total = $1,000's and $1,000's
RunwayDaily Total = After each look below!!!
RunwayDaily Total (black jumper look) = $148.26
RunwayDaily Total (long black skirt look) = $161.73
RunwayDaily Total (metallic skirt look) = $326.99

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
The newest addition to our frenzied report are all pieces stupendously...STRIPED! The spring runways were alive with frocks covered or accented with stripes. Black/white, spring pastels, red/white, horizontal, vertical, sideways...there was no method to each designer's madness when it came to this frenzy. You honestly can't go wrong, thankfully, due to so many options. Horizontal stripes are hard to pull off BUT I've nicely included some great pics of celebs appearing out and about sporting their stripes to inspire you. They can look nautical, daring, sophisticated or race-car drivin' COOL! Pair a striped oxford with jeans and you're school-girl sweet. Opt for striking black and white pieces, a la Beckham and Moss, letting your inner mod SHINE! One thing's for sure, stripes have been around for centuries but are popping up everywhere and on everyone, as of recent!
Some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you, below, to jump start that engine and get stripin'! How Holiday-worthy is the Marc by Marc Jacobs pastel bibbed number ON SALE? Ooh lah lah...I might just have to scoop that one up for myself!

I LOVE GREEN!!! Hunter, Lime, Moss, Army, Kelly, Celadon, Chartreuse, Harlequin, Emerald, Sea...ok, ok, you get it, the list goes on and on. Not only are Runways sporting earth-friendly green fashions but they have also presented us with an array of green gowns that channel recent starlets style to a T. Compare the celeb looks (top) to the runway looks (bottom five-some) and you'll see some serious similarities, right? All the runway shots are from different designer's Spring 2008 Collections, sooooo guess what? Not only are LGD's (lil' green dresses) perfect for the impending Christmas and New Years Par-tay season...they will also present you with a gorgeous transition into your spring wardrobe! What's not to love about that! I've added some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you to breeze through...please check these out, some really impressive sale prices and perfect options. Pair the minis with black opaque tights and I have to say what my eyes are drawn towards is HANDS DOWN the Karta Stones Shift Dress on page 2. All those gold studs are just rocker-chic yet also so freakin' FUN for the Holiday season too. Get your green on and everyone else will be ENVIOUS of your chic style!

Fashion forward peeps...get yourself ONE pronto! Piped blazers are beyond chic, utterly timeless and oh so lust-worthy! As previously posted, they appeared on the Fall 2007 Runway for Balenciaga and again, as RunwayDaily's most recently posted Fashion Week Frenzy (FWF - an item appearing in count-less Collections on the New York, London, Milan and Paris Runways). Numerous designers highlighted looks topped off with a killer piped blazer and what better way to jazz up your fall/winter ensemble than layering with an unexpected menswear piece!?!? Below, the gorgeous and ever-so-stylin' Kate Bosworth was spotted at the Rag & Bone Spring 2008 show wearing a crisp white with black piping piece...hair pulled back, white tuxedo shirt...so simple yet sooooo sophisticated for sure! So I've found some great starts to your piped blazer hunting and honestly, one of the best places to find this piece at an affordable price might just be your nearest second-hand/thrift store. Don't forget to browse the men's section too, you never know what treasures might be found in smaller sizes! Wink, wink! Pair them with skinny jeans and a fun/bright scarf for a more laid back look that just screams S-T-Y-L-E!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
The newest addition to our frenzy is the very versatile piped blazer. You could even pair it with our previous fashion frenzy, oxford shoes. We saw piped blazers first on the Fall 2007 Balenciaga runway...Nicolas Ghesquière and his creative genius obviously started a trend that other designers drew inspiration from. Check out Balenciaga's killer piped blazers below. You gotta love his pairing of sandals and socks as discussed in a previous post. For Spring 2008, numerous designers added a piped blazer, or two, to their Collections. I'm loving L.A.M.B.'s colorful rendition, upper right of bottom pic. That black and white piped blazer paired with bright colors is just the key item that I'm after to go from Fall to Spring...so versatile. So, keep your eyes peeled for a killer piped blazer...wear it all Fall and Winter, then pair it with a flowing sun-dress as the Spring approaches. One thing's for sure...piped blazers are a great addition to any wardrobe and transcend all seasons if done right! I'm sure I'll have some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you later!

Looky looky what we have here...some gorgeous starlets recently spotted sporting some flirty fringey frocks. Each and every one of them have a different spin on the recently mentioned trend but all look beyond GLAM doing it. From left to right we have Kate Moss at Fashion Rocks in London sporting THE Swarovski dress that raised over $10,000 for The Prince's Trust. Just some inside info on this amazing piece, there are over 60,000 Swarovski crystal beads and it took over 200 hours to hand-embroider, WOW! Moving on, we have Victoria Beckham at the opening of the Roberto Cavalli flagship store in Paris looking svelte as ever and I'm loving how the fringe is sort of peek-a-booing over the slit...so sexx-ayyy! Next up, the always precious and put-together Amanda Bynes at the Hollywood Film Festival lookin' foot-fringy for sure...no, not her dress, but check out those Loubs, they are the EXACT pair I was coveting in my earlier post! Lucky girl! Last, but not least, the ever fashionable Gwen Stefani rockin a fringed shirt at The Interpreters of Fashion by Style.com. All ladies look just lovely in their take on some stylin' fringe and perhaps give all of us more inspiration to hop on the fringe bandwagon!

Cropped jackets were all over the spring runways in Milan and Paris. Jacket hems falling right at the waist, above it, below the breasts and creeping even further upward...there was no controlling the CROP! And what a fine crop it was. This great jacket length can take a highly sophisticated look and downplay the dress(y) rehearsal to create a casual and fun feel. Unexpected colors, bright prints, sultry satins and classic black were all there. You MUST click the jump to see Jean Paul Gaultier's version...it's cropped so short it's practically nonexistent. We should all know, by now, these are the rage for fall...but what good news I bare as they are still going to be CHIC for spring...and the winter selection and colors can be easily carried over to next season. Simply tossed over a cute slip/maxi dress or even over a casual tank with jeans...from Target to Topshop, cropped jackets are easy to find now a days. YAY for cropped jackets, such a versatile look for all seasons! Speedy-Savvy-Stylin, you ask? Def check back later...I've got you cropped and covered for sure!

Flat boots, flat boots...go get yourself some, pronto! I just wore mine today and was seriously giggling watching all the women struggle with their heels. At the end of a long day, I was still going strong, where they looked as though they were in some SERIOUS pain! Don't get me wrong, I think there is a time/place for some killer heels, but for a casual day at work/play, flat boots are OH SO HOT! Check out the lovely-lady celebs who have worked the trend to a T! Seen here, they paired their flattey's with everything from skinny jeans and a long sweater to leggings and a hot biker jacket to a cute summer dress to shorts and tights or a flowing boho top...your options are limitless, but your style will only scream one thing: CHIC! The finds I have for you are BEYOND good and I am completely eyeing the legwarmer boots from Anthropologie, how ROCKIN' are those?

Fall is here, in all its grandeur, the leaves are changing and the temperatures are dropping and I'm providing you with your perfect wardrobe essentials over the next month. I will also include wonderful accessories, like today, to make your fall wardrobe go from drab and last season to sophisticated and chic. One "go-to" piece for my fall wardrobe that's rotated in quite frequently are flat boots. Don't get me wrong, I love me some stiletto sexiness in boot form, but flat boots are practical, comfortable, and look great with my skinnies and leggings. If you opt for a pair of classic riding boots in a neutral hue this will be one of those classic staples that you can wear for many seasons to come. Flat boots were featured all over the Fall 2007 Runways in a frenzy of lengths; over the knee, knee high and bootie style. So you have choices for sure...don't limit yourself, get one in each length and you'll be that "it" girl that all the other ladies copy! Check back later and you know I'll have some Savvy-Flat Boot-Stylin' for ya!
