Ohh lah lah! There is just something so flashy and fun about a wee-bit of turquoise added to any ensemble! It reminds me of the gorgeous Caribbean waters where I once resided...it makes me want to wear my fave new jewelry that R.D. Hub bought for Valentine's Day this year...AND it makes me realize that I totally sport my turquoise colored scarf way TOO OFTEN! But I can't help it, I just adore and love turquoise!
As you can see, above, it was present on the Runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris...making it a Fashion Week Frenzy, for this coming Fall. Thankfully, you can jump on this bandwagon without racking your brain on whether you want to invest in a Spring/Fall piece. How? No worries...go the jewelry/accessory route (a la Alexandre Herchcovitch's blue kicks, above) and you're good to go! You can also purchase a good layering piece that can transition well from Spring/Summer into the Fall/Winter season (hint: lightweight cardigan).
I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below, all under $150, to just get you goin! Come on my lovely readers, I want you seeing only shades of turquoise, in all you do! One of my favorite ways to wear it...with coral colors too! They play so well off of each other and I swear, even if it is in midst of a Winter chill...there is truly something about turquoise that just makes me warm inside and really cheerful! I mean, how can you NOT smile when you look at the six looks above? They are bright, inviting and oh so eye-catching! Make a statement in your own way...but DO invest in at least one turquoise goody, that will take you through the warm moths...and maybe even splurge again in the Fall! So there, I've given you an excuse!

Spring time is in the air and what does that mean? Frilly fun printed dresses and showing some PALE skin. But have no fear...unless you can jet-set away for a few winter vacas in the Caribbean, we're all sittin' pretty in our pale goodness! But bust out those pretty frocks and sport a shoulder baring look NOW! The plus to this sexy look...NO TAN LINES! Just sitting at a gorgeous cafe will give your shoulders and neck a sun-kisses look that others will envy.
So onto the fashion at hand. Above you will see quite the array of Spring 2008 Runway Looks! We featured many of these shoulder baring looks back in September (Click HERE) and told you to keep an eye on this trend. Well, it's officially here and you need to OFFICIALLY jump on board. Some lady-loves who have already been spotted baring their clavicles:
From Lauren Conrad's California-ease to Heidi Klum's daringly short number...each celeb posed a serious threat in her shoulder baring ensemble. It's a force to be reckoned with in the lady-like category...even when I sport a loose cardigan/sweatshirt, I can see RunwayDaily Hubby's eyes just ooogling at my neck and shoulders. Many a man find this look VERY sexy! So, what are you waiting for? Speedy-savvy-stylin' included below...all pieces under $150! You're welcome!

Pleats are a gorgeous accent and a sure-fire way to jazz up even the most boring ensemble. Featured in Shows all over the world, pleats had their own little front-row seat adorning some of Fall's Hottest new looks.
Glancing at the looks above, I'm truly drooling over the the entire look at BCBG Maxazria...a bit of SHEER, a DOUBLE-WRAPPED belt and those kicks are killah manillah! Love the electric blue at Iceberg (though I'd add a belt to cinch in my waist) and the chic accessories and English Country feel at Dolce & Gabbana also stole the show.
Make sure to take notice of the little tennis skirt versions at both Jens Laugesen and Lacoste as well. These seem to be popping up on RD radar...so do keep them in mind for a viable pleated option, as well! I must also point out that I am 100% digging all FOUR pairs of tights that graced the gams of the foursome, above...especially the lacy goodness at Nicole Miller. So perfectly off-sets those golden pleats, doesn't it?
Last but not least...here are four more looks from the Fall Runways. Do I have to mention the tennis skirts again? I think not...I'm sure you spotted them right away. Jason Wu's entire gown is a gorgeous way to wear this trend...MAKE SURE to cinch your waist with a belt! No need for all your curves to be lost among the pleats.
Lucky for you, I've included some certain deals and steals for you to correctly emulate this look, below. And guess what...I'm sure many of you are nursing a possible 'late night' at the moment, but also are totally ready to start planning your next soiree...so have no fear, a pleated goody is just what you should sport! All items featured in today's speedy-savvy-stylin' are under $50. You're welcome!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.

Bottom line...I love me some green! I have blue eyes, so a green top makes them pop and even brings out subtle shades too! I love RD Hub in green too...just a color I'm naturally drawn too and always LOVE to see others sport. Happily, this year, the Fall Runway Shows were virtually overflowing with all shades of green. As you can see, above, some note-worthy and killer ensembles entirely created out of green shades.
I've been saving these "green goodies" for you, until today...seeing as how St. Patty's Day parties/parades are just around the corner so everyone has a bit of 'green' on the brain! What am I sporting at the moment...a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved green T! Yep...the Irish hubby has some serious St. Patty's Day pride...so we've started donning our green a few days early!
Looking at the above collage, I honestly love all FIVE looks. I'd wear every single one...each to a different occasion. I don't think you should opt for an entire green ensemble though, for St. Patty's Day, as it might get you laughed at. Instead...use my speedy-savvy-stylin' below, and opt for 'pieces' to coordinate with other items from your wardrobe to subtlety add your GREEN!
All my speedy-savvy-stylin' to day is under $150, so there should be NO excuses on this one. Plus, as you can see...green is one of Fall's hottest hues as it's landed on our list of Fall Fashion Week Frenzies! So, please do browse the array of dresses I have for you below and learn to pair green 'pieces' with other items from your wardrobe via the Runway inspiration pictured right below the speedy-savvy-stylin!
Not only did green appear on the Runway in wearable form...but there were also some statement-making touches of green that showed themselves via a killer accessory, or two. Below, you'll see green running rampant on the Fall Runways on shoes, bags, belts, necklaces, hats and scarfs. So I've added some more speedy-savvy-stylin' for green accessories for you, below...also, all under $150. So my lady-loves...sport your green with Irish pride, or just sport it! Don't be a bah-hum-bug, as I can assure you this color will be HOT on into Fall! I'm completely eyeing the Python-Embossed Metal Frame Clutch at Ann Taylor and Landscaper Scarf at Anthropologie, via my speedy-savvy-stylin' below!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
As Spring is vastly approaching and the sun is getting possibly a wee-bit "warmer" for some of you (darn, not me)...ideals of BOLD colors and FLORAL fancy are taking way in your fashion-filled mind. But I have something new and oh so "minimal" for you to take a gander upon trying, my fashion forward, lady-loves! I may take a legitimate gander that you've tried a subdued palette before today, but I'm enthusiastically going to show you how to REALLY make it WORK!
We at Runway Daily want to make sure that you are the FIRST to know what's about to be IN and HOT! Make sure to click HERE to see all our previous Fashion Week Frenzys! We're always taking notes and can't help but notice all of the pieces that popped up on the Spring 2008 Ready to Wear Runway Shows that exemplified a subdued, yet striking, palette! Here are 21 looks from 21 different designers:
Every single designer showed a piece, or two...or TEN, that characterized this look to a T! It's easy to think you're pulling it off but really you end up looking dowdy and boring. Simply matching sundued pieces with killer accessories and layering are the KEY essentials for making this a look one that will ultimately come out polished, sophisticated and clean!
Over 21 images to sort through can be a bit daunting, so it's friday...and I'm feeling rather nice. I'm going to go ahead and provide you with three examples, a mere 6 looks, on HOW TO pull-off a subdued palette, below. Batter up...
Above, crisp WHITE PANTS rocked the runways at Bruce and Cynthia Rowley. Notice the pairing of a flowing tank/black VEST combo at Bruce (left) and the long WHITE jacket, thick belt, nude top and STATEMENT necklace that polished off Cynthia Rowley's look (right). Both look chic without over-doing it!
Above, subtle grey hues and soft white sheers graced the Emporio Armani and D&G Spring Runways this year. Check out the above duo, with Armani's look on the left and you can easily see many similarities. Taking a minimal palette and adding classic/trendy accessories to take the look up a notch. Notice the black patent leather and beaded necklaces at Armani and how about those GLADIATOR kicks at D&G? Love them and...have them! So just some insight on how to add-to a minimal palette and jazz it up, something fierce, for a casual night out on the town!
And last but not least, above, we have two amazing looks from the Preen and Stella McCartney Spring shows. An oversized white blazer (we've mentioned are love for TUXEDO, but this is also great) and grey shift, on the left, paired with some killer ankle-wrap sandals make me want to say, "Preen, just add a few key accessories and this look has it ALL for Spring!" McCartney's ethereal look on the right is also paired with a blazer, though her shade is a bit creamier. The SHEER shift-dress underneath and the TRIBAL theme espadrilles are the perfect accents and a supreme way to round-out minimal palette looks with some of Spring's HOTTEST 'go-to' pieces! Oh Stella...always leading the pack! Golf claps to all, though!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
We at Runway Daily want to make sure that you are the FIRST to know what's about to be IN and HOT! Make sure to click HERE to see all our previous Fashion Week Frenzys! We're always taking notes and can't help but notice all of the pieces popping up on our radar that have a tribal feel to them this season! Eccentric beading, contrasting fabric in different prints, aboriginal-looking inspired patterns and so many touches of nature and it's subdued AND bright color palette...designers were obviously having a sort of Tribal Tribute everywhere! This is, indeed, a tough look to 'get right.' Please do not pair it with your Minnetonkas, Uggs or Muk Luks...you might get it wrong and look like you belong on that new Caveman TV show as their new female counterpart! Keep it simple; sport one tribal frock or possibly TWO accent pieces. No need for anyone to mention to you that Halloween is OVER, how embarassing!
I've included some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to get you started. You might be surprised to find multiple pieces in your existing wardrobe that give off a tribal feel already. Pair these with skinny jeans and simple shoes. Tribal-inspired frocks are usually comfy and flowing and would look great paired with lace-up OXFORDS or booties and some great opaque tights. These frocks will all likely transition well into your spring/summer wardrobe as you can then pair it with gladiator sandals or nude colored flats too.
Can I please get a "CUTE" for the ASOS Petite Teardrop Print Chiffon Dress and Mix And Match Print Dress...golf claps for ASOS! Make sure you let your tribal inspired piece shine bright...don't let your accessories over-power your TRIBUTE, lovers!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
Appearing on the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 Runways is the staple color; WHITE! Honestly, I truly wear my white year-round. Replacing summer/spring bright colored flats and sandals with killer black/gray heels and boots for fall and winter fun, but the WHITE always stays put! Recently sporting my new white skinny jeans, I felt fresh and oh so stylish! I was under the assumption that I exuded a crisp, clean look! (Don't tell me differently!) Keep that "Tide Pen" handy though, as white is HARD to keep bright. Many celebs have stepped out in the last week sporting killer white frocks and ensembles...and it's only FALL! RunwayDaily's Gold Star is honorably given to the gorgeously Calvin Klein clad Ashley Olsen, très chic. So yes my loves, hunt for the perfect 'year-round' white piece that will compliment your wardrobe, always. I've done some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to give you a quick rundown of some classic whites to get pronto; button-up blouse, double breasted jacket, wide-legged pants (mentioned in this previous post) and all season frock. After acquiring all these then I give you permission to splurge on a statement piece!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
The newest addition to our frenzied report are all pieces stupendously...STRIPED! The spring runways were alive with frocks covered or accented with stripes. Black/white, spring pastels, red/white, horizontal, vertical, sideways...there was no method to each designer's madness when it came to this frenzy. You honestly can't go wrong, thankfully, due to so many options. Horizontal stripes are hard to pull off BUT I've nicely included some great pics of celebs appearing out and about sporting their stripes to inspire you. They can look nautical, daring, sophisticated or race-car drivin' COOL! Pair a striped oxford with jeans and you're school-girl sweet. Opt for striking black and white pieces, a la Beckham and Moss, letting your inner mod SHINE! One thing's for sure, stripes have been around for centuries but are popping up everywhere and on everyone, as of recent!
Some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you, below, to jump start that engine and get stripin'! How Holiday-worthy is the Marc by Marc Jacobs pastel bibbed number ON SALE? Ooh lah lah...I might just have to scoop that one up for myself!

The newest addition to our frenzy is the very versatile piped blazer. You could even pair it with our previous fashion frenzy, oxford shoes. We saw piped blazers first on the Fall 2007 Balenciaga runway...Nicolas Ghesquière and his creative genius obviously started a trend that other designers drew inspiration from. Check out Balenciaga's killer piped blazers below. You gotta love his pairing of sandals and socks as discussed in a previous post. For Spring 2008, numerous designers added a piped blazer, or two, to their Collections. I'm loving L.A.M.B.'s colorful rendition, upper right of bottom pic. That black and white piped blazer paired with bright colors is just the key item that I'm after to go from Fall to Spring...so versatile. So, keep your eyes peeled for a killer piped blazer...wear it all Fall and Winter, then pair it with a flowing sun-dress as the Spring approaches. One thing's for sure...piped blazers are a great addition to any wardrobe and transcend all seasons if done right! I'm sure I'll have some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you later!

I love NAVY! It is a color that is sooo under-rated and under-utilized, but has such WOW factor, pizzazz and sex-appeal! It looks sophisticated and simple yet stands out gracefully in a sea of "boring" LBD's (Little Black Dresses...don't make me remind you again). It entices a regal spirit and eludes to riches, unknown. Navy just does it for me, every...single...freakin...time! I have only a few strong pieces in my wardrobe that are navy, but I tell you what, when I DO wear them, this always happens; my eye color pops, I feel strong but also feminine all at once and my posture seems so perfect (like I've truly enlisted). So many navy frocks were seen on the Spring 2008 Runways so I saved you the time of looking through multiple pics and just chose my fave four that EACH incorporate other trends I've recently mentioned to you. Left to right; an amazing trapeze dress with a DAZZLING neckline at La Perla, a SWEATER dress and skinnies combo at Nina Ricci, a ONE-ARMED wonder at Aquascutum and lovely layers paired with a killer STATEMENT necklace at Tuleh.
Some PYT (Pretty Young Things) have also been spotted all over Hollywood and have already enlisted as well. Jersey with Loubs on Mandy Moore, CRISS-CROSS neckline and yes, my LOUBS again on Gwen Stefani, polka-dot parade on Emily Deschanel and lastly a gorgeous sateen number of Marisa Tomei.
It's Friday and I'm feeling awfully sweet, so I've already included some speedy-NAVY-stylin' for ya way below! Ladies, seriously, sport some NAVY in the next few weeks...and you'll also be ready to enlist on a daily basis!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
Ombre - a technique of dyeing from light to dark...it's been around for a long time and is practically tie-dye's closest cousin! Numerous runways were ALIVE with ombre fabrics for spring. They have such a FUN and care-free feel to them, don't they? Diane Von Furstenberg and Matthew Williamson showed numerous ombre frocks and this gorgeous starlet was recently seen gallavanting around town in one! Ombre looks more high-fashion than tie-dye and is a much, much more rigorous process whose total cost depends on labour, desired colour, number of transitions and general difficulty of the job. Hence why we ALWAYS used to tie-dye our shirts at summer camp and never ombre them! I've included some magnificent savvy-ombre-stylin' for you below! The Prada bag is just lust-worthy and appears in all their newest ad campaigns but I'm also really diggin' the racerback tank from Urban Outfitters! Again, ombre frocks gallavanted down the runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris...what more reason do you need to invest in a piece, pronto? Happy ombre hunting!

We at Runway Daily want to make sure that you are the FIRST to know what's about to be IN and HOT! Let me just point out that all four cities have taken a "Walk on Oxford Street," per say. Though you might be saying, "What? That street's in London!" Right-o you are, but what we're talking about this go-round is not one of my FAVE shopping streets, but men's OXFORD SHOES! Just look at them all...not sky-high-heeled, but low/no heeled. Neon hued, classic black, two-toned preppy brown, nude and nice ... you can't GO WRONG on this one. Pair them with an ultra feminine ensemble or just stick to the menswear fad and it'll be a safe bet! I can tell you this, I have my eye out for a great pair to wear with my skinny jeans, sweater dresses or my bubble hems. Get on it! Check back later and you KNOW I'll award you with some savvy-oxford-stylin...PLUS, I saw one model-of-the-moment already workin' the oxford-trend behind the scenes!
