You know what? Sometimes a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do. And that means don a sky-high pair of heels. While every fashion blogger in the world is a-flutter with who was the best dressed at last night's People's Choice Awards, this here fashion blogger is not overly concerned with what their bodies were donning.
Nope, these eyes saw nothing that stood out as overwhelmingly amazing. But I was elated to see an enticing collection of gorgeous kicks as these women were clad in some stunning heels sauntering down the red carpet.
Platforms stole the show as numerous gams were accentuated by creative and statuesque pieces. Diane Kruger, Carrie Underwood and Ginnifer Goodwin all sported black bondage heels. I adore Diane's and would rock this style with so many different ensemble combos. I also like the nude appeal chosen by Mary J. Blige, Jessica Alba and Taylor Swift.
I even love the platform sling-backs that Olivia Wilde sported. Every girl needs a pair of these for her closet...do you? I own a silver pair platform sling-backs and love them! So, without further ado, I've picked some of my fave heels on the market right now. All for under $100, gorgeous and statement-making. I love the Starlight Heels from Kohl's are hot and the Coast Fan Detail Fanned Heels are so supremely lady-like and right up my alley.
Now is the time to capitalize on some great sales (as they're everywhere) and don heels with those winter-blacks for a pop of color and an added pep in your step. Make sure to check out all my choices...there are so many chic and alluring options. Enjoy!
PS - Don't forget that Nine West is also having a 70%-Off Sale! You're sure to land yourself a pair at an equally as impressive price-tag.

Seriously, the first time I saw Lauren Conrad in this look I was officially drooling. Something about it's simplicity; the white dress...the skinny black belt...the peep toe heels. It just screams sophistication/class. Recently, Fergie stepped out in a similar ensemble that garnered my attention, once again. So I thought to myself...this is something worth sharing because it's a classic/timeless look that can be multi-occasional!
I've provided some speedy-savvy-stylin' for you above and only tried to choose skinny black belts that really caught my eye. It creates a more polished silhouette, I think. As for the white dresses...well, I'm sure you already have one in your wardrobe so either; A - put the two together, asap or B - go get yourself a black skinny and work this look, soon! It can't be just "any" LWD (Little White Dress) because it must look exceptional with the belt around it, cinching your waist at the appropriate place (Fergie) or falling nicely on an unnatural waistline (Lauren). Those of you who might think an empire waistline will work are definitely not choosing a good option. Chose a sheath (like Blake Lively's below) or Leighton Meester's shirt-dress (below again) for a dead-on approach and just what you're looking for. Also a T-Shirt dress is another great option, too...enjoy!

I know...I know! I'm a bit late with my bevy of top beauties, but better late than never, right? I've finally whittled down my top 6 looks from Monday Night Costume Institute Gala at the Met; aka: the East-coast Oscars! So many to choose from but I only wanted to show a gown once...so some of my other favorites were included in the REAL-LIFE COUPLES post and the GOLDEN GIRL GOWNS post. Here are the top 6 that stand alone!
So...shall we? Above and working our way clockwise; Ivanka Trump sizzled in J. Mendel. The CRISS-CROSS NECKLINE really accentuates her shoulders and I have to say that her bindi is just too cute too! Next, Camilla Belle looks ravishing and WON today's GOLD STAR OF STYLE in Armani Privé and Fred Leighton jewels. The color suits her skin tone to perfection and her minimal accessories allow the gown to shine brightly!
Moving on to Molly Sims and her bold Versace gown. We've told you how hot YELLOW GOWNS are...and paired with a splash of TURQUOISE and gold accessories...she's def a DO! Jacquetta Wheeler took my breath away in her cerulean blue goodie...her short do, colorful accessories and radiant skin are the perfect compliment for such a gorgeous hue.
Two more to go...Chanel Iman a MUSTARD YELLOW colored 3.1 Phillip Lim gown is looking more elegant that ever! I love that she CINCHED in her waistline with a copper colored belt and her T-straps make the look just a tad more casual. Last, but not least, someone who's making BIG headlines with the release of her controversial autobiography (I sort of want to read it) but Barbara Walters wasn't letting the gossip stop her from glowing. She looked particularly ravishing in her TURQUOISE gown and statement-making diamonds.
Each and every lady looked just amazing at the Gala. I must extend R.D. golf claps to each of these 6 ladies for taking the cake in the fashion department. So until next year...we're happy with what we saw for SURE!

What a bevvy of beauties we have here! My top FIVE best-dressed ladies from the 13th Annual Critic's Choice Awards are featured above. The Gold Star is given to Katie Holmes, hands-down! Seriously, when she walked on stage, to present an award, my jaw dropped and all I could think was "Day-Yumm!" Those cheekbones, her weight-loss, a ONE-ARM and exremely elegant Lanvin gown and her postiively radiant skin! She was glowing and looked better than I've seen her look in her entire life. So big kudos to her but don't let all this praise overshadow the other gorgeous gals.
Rounding out the top five, from left to right, we have; Emily Deschanel in a classic black gown with tasteful gold accessories, Amanda Bynes in a Narcisco Rodriguez lilac mini-stunner (take note on both of these leading ladie's killer kicks...PUMPS were featured as one of our top 5 wardrobe eesentials in the accessory category), the ravishing Holmes and her Gold Star, Brittany Snow in a Badgley Mischka Platinum jewel-toned/curve-hugging gown complimented by some very impressive earrings and last, but not least, Kyra Sedgwick in an Oscar de la Renta OMBRE, CAP-SLEEVED, show-stopping piece! Love them!

Fashion Week Frenzy - a trend reappearing in New York, London, Milan and Paris runway shows.
Appearing on the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 Runways is the staple color; WHITE! Honestly, I truly wear my white year-round. Replacing summer/spring bright colored flats and sandals with killer black/gray heels and boots for fall and winter fun, but the WHITE always stays put! Recently sporting my new white skinny jeans, I felt fresh and oh so stylish! I was under the assumption that I exuded a crisp, clean look! (Don't tell me differently!) Keep that "Tide Pen" handy though, as white is HARD to keep bright. Many celebs have stepped out in the last week sporting killer white frocks and ensembles...and it's only FALL! RunwayDaily's Gold Star is honorably given to the gorgeously Calvin Klein clad Ashley Olsen, très chic. So yes my loves, hunt for the perfect 'year-round' white piece that will compliment your wardrobe, always. I've done some speedy-savvy-stylin' below to give you a quick rundown of some classic whites to get pronto; button-up blouse, double breasted jacket, wide-legged pants (mentioned in this previous post) and all season frock. After acquiring all these then I give you permission to splurge on a statement piece!
(Celebs featured above, upper left and clockwise; Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Olsen, Liv Tyler, Elizabeth Hurley, Mary-Kate Olsen)
(Designers featured above, upper left and clockwise; Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Emanuel Ungaro, Yves Saint Laurent, BCBG Max Azria)

Christina Aguilera, Dita Von Teese, Jennifer Garner, Eva Herzigova, Tinsley Mortimer and Tory Burch recently stepped out in a trend I mentioned in an earlier post; RED & GREY!! The color-combo truly plays off one another so well, doesn't it? You have that pop of bright color (red) and the subtleness of 'the' great neutral (grey) coming together and combining for a fresh FALL combo. Each celeb/designer interpreted the look very differently, but all receive kudos, from us, for looking sleek, stylish and oh so trendy. Easy to emulate for sure...scour your closet and combine your grey and red pieces for today's hottest new combo.
Sidenote: Eva is already carrying one of the BOLD new accessories (lucky gal) from the 2008 Spring Runway...click HERE and then the jump to find out which designer it is!

As mentioned an an earlier post, sheer is here, but not in the form of "shants" (sheer pants) as seen on the Spring 2008 Runways. No, no, no...the sheer I'm speaking of is showing up on PYT's (pretty young things) all over Hollywood. Gorgeous designer frocks with an entire sheer bodice, sheer tunics or stunning sheer sleeves are just a few of the looks that caught my eye. I know, it's starting to be a bit more chilly, but sheer is a great way to have an 'oooh lah lah' moment! Stripping off the chunky pea-coat and gently and subtly showing off some S-K-I-N! Great for holiday parties and soirees...sheer just screams feminine and it's gentle draping quality is oh so coveted. I'll definitely be following suit like this bevy of gorgeous starlets as I have my eyes peeled for a gorgeous sheer necklined frock for winter! You know I'll be back later with some speedy-savvy-stylin' for ya, so be sure to check later!
(Celebs featured upper left and clockwise; Chloe Sevigny, Renee Zellweger, Taryn Manning, Naomi Campbell, Uma Thurman, Amy Adams)

So, I'm sure you are wondering why this random bunch of gorgeous ladies each deserved a GOLD STAR this week? Well, let me just tell you...Jennifer Garner was smokin' HOT in her gorgeous curve-hugging frock and obviously is cheering for none other than, Team Pink! Chloe Sevigny, the original fashionista that she is, sported a casual mustard colored sweater dress and paired it nicely with a classic clutch, killer boots and the ole wayfarers. Eva Mendes was absolutely glowing in a criss-cross neckline that accentuated her skin to a T...I'm also really digging the HUGE cocktail rings she paired with it...one black, one gold! And last, but not least, our 4th Gold Star of the week is awarded to the timeless beauty Liz Hurley for working a large floral printed piece with a neon hued neckline and still looked beyond classy, pretty and oh so dazzling. Kudos ladies...following my trend suggestions perfectly, makes me think you might even be readers!

Gold Star Celeb Style - wearing the Runway trends before every other starlet. Celebs have some of the best stylists in the business to dress them eagerly on a day-to-day basis. So at times, I find it hard to reward these great style choices by only naming the celeb, because most likely, there was someone else 'helping out.' BUT there are also those certain stars who just continue to oooze style on a regular basis...earning them the coveted Gold Star. One of these stylish starlets is Katie Holmes. Though her style-transformation has played out for all the world to see, she does just keep getting brighter in our book. Here we see her in casual attire, but the thing that stands out most to Runway Daily is the fact that Katie is wearing pieces we've been telling you about the last few weeks. Colors and cuts found on the Spring Runway shows in New York, London and Milan. The classic white wide-legged pants, leather vest and bright yellow bag is a gorgeous ensemble that creates such a feel for casual and laid-back glamour. Bravo Katie, you earned our Gold Star of Style by following our suggestions for signature style to a T! We even start to ponder if you might be a reader, wink wink!
