Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Tyler Brandenburg Byting Whitney Port, Hayden Panettiere, Rachel Bilson and Jessica Szohr

Tyler brandenburg give his opinion on female celeb fashion

It's been way too long since we've had a Male Bites here on RWD. Our last one was in October of 2008. Yes I'm completely embarrassed to admit that fact. This is actually a category that garners so much attention. You know, I always thought I knew what men liked to see a woman don, but I think you'll be really surprised to read that a majority of men like simple, classic and under-stated...as opposed to over-styled, super trendy and over accessorized.

Read below to see what my good friend from middle school, Mr Tyler Brandenburg, had to say about these four gorgeous gals. I've known Tyler for half of my life so I was super interested to hear what he had to say. I hand picked some fashionable and functional attires and told him, no holds barred, to tell me his thoughts.

I actually adore Rachel Bilson's ensemble and would totally rock that entire look. Tyler, on the other hand, thinks no woman should have anything to do with it, ha! I'm glad we're on the same page with Miss Szohr because that's just a supremely stylish and sexy look. Cheers to you, Tyler, for diving right in and giving us your opinion below on some of today's sexiest female celebs.

Also, if you know anyone who would love to join in the Male Byting fun and be featured lending their opinions on female celeb fashion then email me: runwaydaily@runwaydaily.com. And...if a detailed layout of how men cook in the kitchen also entices you, make sure to check out our sister blog CasaCullen featuring the Male Bites category too. Enjoy!

Whitney Port -

"I like the dress but the printed tights with the roses make the outfit childish...this style dress would look hotter on a slightly curvier girl as well."

Hayden Panettiere -

"I think the dress would look better on a fairer skinned girl. Kind of boring on her."

Rachel Bilson -

"AWFUL!!! The print is horrible, the cut is not flattering, and the boots/leggings combo is a train wreck! She looks like an old bag lady."

Jessica Szohr -

"HOT! Love the colors, hair, cut, shoes, and accessories."

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Nikko Villanueva Byting Daisy Lowe, Hayden Panettiere, Maria Menounos and Rihanna

It's Hump Day and you know what that means? RunwayDaily loves to jump start your mid-week lull with our fan-favorite category: Male Bytes! What a great way to kick the last half of the week off on a magnificent start. Today's Male Byter is a man with a style that is impossibly to miss. This is a guy that is always dressed to impress and is so fashionable that I find myself taking notes from his pairings.

From fringe jackets, killer boots, skinny jeans and Hot-for-Fall plaids...this fellah is an eye-catching 'gent! The second I met Nikko, I knew he'd have all sorts of advice/praise/put-down's for our Bevy of Beauties, above! So, without further ado...let's hear what Nikko's thoughts are on the ensemble choices of these four captivating starlets:

Daisy Lowe: "I love her outfit! Her pants look spray painted on, HOT! The colorful shirt breaks up the black and white combination. You can't go wrong with dark lipstick and black nail polish, if you do it right. It's obvious the girl has skills. She rules the school!"

Hayden Panettiere: "Forget about the outfit!!! Her face looks like a pile of pancakes, yikes! The girl at the make up counter got a little too happy with the foundation. Jeepers Creepers I think I'm going blind!!!"

Maria Menounos: "I love this outfit. It's very elegant. I can't get over her red shoes, HOT! The red splash of color ties her outfit together. The belt works "for her"...it reminds me of a present waiting to get unwrapped!"

Rihanna: "I love the dress, but the jacket needs to GO! I mean she needs to take it off right now! She'd be better off rockin an umbrella...ella...ella!"

Nikko, you're such a great asset to our Male Bytes category! Thanks for taking the time to lend us your fashion opinions...I'm seriously in agreement with almost 100% of what you said! I think we might just have to feature you again. Right to the point...and in this fashionista's eyes, you're sooooo right in so many ways. My lovely readers...do I even have to tell you to enjoy? I think not!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Ryan Roser Byting Kate Hudson, Karolina Kurkova, Rachel Bilson and Katie Lee Joel

Male bytes - ryan roser byting kate hudson, karolina kurkova, rachel bilson and katie lee joel

It's Friday and you know what that means? RunwayDaily loves to save the best for last and post something stellar to kick the weekend off on a magnificent start. What better way to do that than a Male Bytes post! Today's Male Byter is a man with a style all his own. Ryan Roser has been known to wear bright and crazy color combos, killer multi-colored kicks and some serious plaid shorts. He pulls them off, every-time! I'm all about have your own personal style, so I knew Ryan would have some great words of advice/praise for our Bevy of Beauties, above.

Although Ryan isn't smiling in his picture, he and his wife are the most charming and smiling people ever. They exude warmth (and style) and I always dig her accessories and his choice of attire. I'm telling you, this man's wardrobe is something that is worn only with megawatt confidence! And how about that job title? Eeeek, it sounds intense! Ok, ok...enough about Ryan. Let's get to the byting of these gorgeous beauties; Kate Hudson, Karolina Kurkova, Rachel Bilson and Katie Lee Joel!

So, without further ado...let's hear what Ryan had to say about these four captivating starlets:

Kate Hudson - "Kate Hudson's scarf is pretty cool, but the spring on her arm is a little strange. I like the belt, especially since she has pockets. It's about time ladies get some functional pockets. She'll need that belt if she's going to be filling those babies up with a bunch of keys, her PDA, and a hand or two."

Karolina Kurkova - "What's not to like about a silk robe and oversize t-shirt? Did Karolina retire for the evening to a hot toddy and Jay Leno only to realize she was due out in public? I'm glad she had time to wipe of the cold cream."

Rachel Bilson - "Rachel Bilson looks like the Bride of Frankenstein after getting out of the shower. That has to be the best looking towel I've ever seen. Her big hair is rad too. Is 2008 the year of the towel? I hope so. Shower power!"

Katie Lee Joel - "Creative Mrs. Joel wore a Goodwill lampshade instead of a skirt. As a lampshade, I think it's an excellent find; I'd pay upwards of $5.50 for such bric-a-brac. I hope she can return it once she realizes the mistake, but with a uselessly small purse, I bet she's lost the receipt. You know Billy is holding her lip gloss and cell phone tonight."

Saving the best for last again, I love how Ryan calls out Billy Joel and says he's on "cell phone/lip gloss" duty. This is obviously a man who has his priorities straight...marriage comes first! Ha! Love it! And...note taken: men maybe aren't as wowed by the Hervé Légér Bandage Dress as I might be, hence Ryan referring to Rachel Bilson's dress as the, "best looking towel I've ever seen." I'm literally laughing out loud. Ryan, you're such a great asset to our Male Bytes category...thanks for taking the time to lend us your fashion opinions. Oh, ps - so glad someone else readily uses rad in their daily jargon, too!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Korey Lartigue-Webb Byting Sarah Jessica Parker, Paris Hilton, Joy Bryant and Kate Moss

Korey_lartiguewebb_byting_sarah_jes

On this happy Hump Day, I have another fun-filled and colorful Male Bytes post for you, lovely readers! This week's byter is a man that KNOWS fashion from every angle...it's his job, he better! I had the pleasure of meeting Korey Lartigue-Webb at a recent photo-shoot and instantly I fell in love! He's a hard working fellah that KNOWS his stuff...but he's a silent leader who doesn't use force or a loud voice to get his way. His professionalism was striking and his ease of connecting with every person throughout the shoot clearly amazed me. Korey is going places...I will bet on it! His potential next location move, after San Francisco, is Paris. Those French women will NEVER know what hit them!

Onto our glorious Male Bytes post today. I gave Korey four ensembles that I knew only a fashion-obsessed veteran could correctly break-down. Sarah Jessica Parker and Joy Bryant were cheerful and bright in their POPS of COLOR while Paris Hilton and Kate Moss kept it more MONOCHROMATIC and cool! All four women, in my opinion, have pulled off style choices that SHINE in their own eyes! But does a man find it irresistible? Ok, enough about my opinion...this IS male bytes!

So, without further ado, let's hear what Korey had to say about all four fabulous, fashion-loving lady-loves:

Sarah Jessica Parker - "Man oh man, I withhold so much hope in SJP. I'd like her to obtain her Sex & The City wardrobe on, and offscreen. Unfortunately, this is reality. Forthright, this might just be a stint the actress is pulling by incessantly playing these dress up games she is playing, to rid all of the attention she gets from being the star of the show. Don't get me wrong, the pieces are nice, well not all, but they do not belong together. The conflicting fabrications, make me so sad. I will campaign to the END for mismatching colors, but when you get to her footwear, you realize this was all a scam."

Paris Hilton - "I've avowed that Paris Hilton has a disease; though it is not deadly. The fashion forward elite entitles the sickness as "too much." I'm an advocate for high fashion labels, the media attention, and Paris's success, but I will not condone this young lady to incessantly add on layer after layer to every ensemble she encounters. For instance, envision that lace "thing" she's wearing. Just envision it as being burned up, and give her hat back to her boyfriend. Add a cardigan during the day, and a delicate belt, with or without the cardigan at night. She can keep the tights, because she is Paris Hilton. As for her shoes, well she has enormous feet, so there isn't much we can do. Come on, they are not THAT bad. But now, we've created a sophisticated look for the socialite; day and night. In due time, Paris will wow us, but I did mention in due time."

Joy Bryant - "This is nice, not extravagant, but this is nice. Lose the coat Miss Joy; all right, I'll be nice. Burn it Miss Joy. Now, it's a perfect representation of how one shall transfer into the Spring and Summer seasons. If I am not mistaken, Herve Ledger designed the dress, or it may be a really amazing knock off, with bandage strip detailing. I'm not a fanatic about the chosen hair or shoes; but I can deal. Throw her a clutch or an intense selection of jewels [one or the other, let's not go mad] around 6PM, and she'll be transformed from a daytime fashionista, into an evening goddess. One definitely can't leave home without a pair of Louis Vuitton shades while being in her presence, due to her being a tad bit on the bright side; just a tad. But she'll glow once the nightlife hits. You go Miss Joy, you."

Kate Moss - "Kate Moss has it going on, and I'm campaigning to be on her team, enough said. P.S – Because seriously, brown belts fighting angular stripes, is what really completes your look."

So there it is! Straight from a professionals mouth! I actually dig SJP and PH's looks this week, in my opinion! But the truth be told, I agree 100% as I would have totally lost the hat and maybe added a belt to Hilton's ensemble! Korey...what a joy to have you make a cameo appearance as this week's Male Byter! We so enjoyed your enthusiasm, input and COMPLETE styling "know-how" for day-night transitions! Cheers to you, wonderful fellah!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Preston Horner Byting Ashley Olsen, Mandy Moore, Sophia Bush and Whitney Port

Preston_horner_byting_ashley_olsen_

I've got a nice weekend present for you...a Male Byting good time! Today's Male Byter is my baby bro, Preston...and though in the hot heat of midterm exams and testing (haven't heard that word in a while...make my hair stand on end) he still came through with an exhilarating and straight to the point byte for us.

Preston has always been a 'man of few words' but he also knows what he likes to see his lady-loves wearing. Note to self, for his girlfriends of present and future, "Do NOT wear tall black boots! For some strange reason, Preston does NOT find them fashionable and directly correlates them to wanting money for sex!" I might have to sway his opinion next time the family is together! I adore a good pair of black boots!

So, without further ado...let's see what Preston had to say about our Bevvy of Beauties today, as they are all donning black and white ensembles; Ashley Olsen, Mandy Moore, Sophia Busy and Whitney Port (of MTV Hills fame).

Ashley Olsen - "I don't really dig the bug-eye sunglasses. Don't know why or when that fad happened. Not a big fan of the prostitute boots either. She looks a lot better than she did during that anorexic phase (if that's even the right twin). That huge bag must be filled with snickers and salami. Too bad it looks like she's about to be hit by a very large car."

Mandy Moore - "I like Mandy Moore usually, but that outfit kinda isn't doin' it for me. I think it's the stockings."

Sophia Bush - "She looks nice. Perhaps too much make-up though, but not enough to really bother me. I don't normally think the high-pants, or whatever they're called, look very good, but she wears them well."

Whitney Port - "I don't know about this one. She's sporting both the prostitute boots and the stockings. Her jacket and scarf are alright I guess. She looks like she's trying to hard to wear as much stuff and "accessorize" as mush as she could. I really don't like that."

So there you have it...straight from the lil' bro's mouth! Seriously...men are tough critics! I rather dig all these women's ensembles and would totally sport each and every one. Seriously, maybe I should turn the tables and have women sounding off about some male looks...what do you think about that, huh? Regardless, thanks Pres for your input and we''ll be SURE to feature your cute self again!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Nathan Pritchard Byting Natalie Portman, Sophia Bush, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson

Nathan_pritchard_byting_natalie_por

Happy Friday and with my well wishes for a wonderful day, comes one of your favorite and quite frankly, entertaining category posts...Male Bytes! Today's byter, Nathan Pritchard, hails from 'across the pond' and is one stylish man, indeed. He's giving his opinion on the ensembles worn by four gorgeous gals; Natalie Portman, Sophia Bush, Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson. His keen sense of daily fashion might just be due to the fact he's a UK darling that isn't afraid to take fashion chances. While I met Nathan when we were both living in Australia, he is, undoubtedly, the only man that I've ever seen look 'good' in cropped pants...no joke! Also...can I just point out a wee-bit of similarity between our Nathan here and Mr. Jude Law! Yes...I know you can see it! But...Nathan's cuter, for sure!

But less about Nathan and more about his take on today's Bevvy of Beauties. Nathan, was a man of few words but I love that he gets right to the point and tells us all, exactly what his thoughts are on each ensemble and on the beauty, in general.

So, without further ado...let's hear what Nathan had to say about these four captivating starlets:

Natalie Portman - "Not a massive fan. Hair needs to be more dynamic in the photo and I don't believe she has a good posture. I don't think she possesses the 'whoa' factor. However she has a very pretty face. She's the kinda girl you would like to take home to see your mum."

Sophia Bush - "I have no idea who she is. I think she has a very long face and she looks stumpy."

Gwyneth Paltrow - "Naturally very beautiful...she doesn't appear to wear loads of make-up which I really find attractive. Also she doesn't mind being a lighter colour. Far too many ladies nowadays are concerned with fake tans. Only negative is that she seems a little too clean cut."

Scarlett Johansson - "My favourite. This girl signifies class. She always looks stylish. She is extremely beautiful, blonde golden locks and a fantastic smile."

Nathan, you are the cutest "Brit" I know! Some of the words you use just make me giggle (uh hum - "mum") and calling Sophia Bush "stumpy" and not even knowing who she is...ha, ha! Well, that just goes to show that the 'mass media' isn't even reaching ALL the masses. Thank you for your great insight, you were a fabulous addition to our Male Bytes category. Enjoy!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Chris Marine Byting Jessica Simpson, Reese Witherspoon, Vanessa Minnillo and Heidi Klum

Chris_marine_bytes_jessica_simpson_

That's right...another killer addition to one of RunwayDaily's hottest and most talked about category; Male Bytes! It's Friday and what better way to kick off your weekend than some opinions on female fashion from a man's perspective.

Our amazing addition is from Mr. Creative - Chris Marine. A musician in New York City, Chris is a newlywed with an apparent gift to pick out what's really 'hot and not' for celeb ensembles. Honestly, I am beyond impressed with what he DID notice...ummm, Reese's yellow bracelet, for ONE...to his asking about "where" Jessica Simpson's feet are under her WIDE-leg jeans! Classic, I tell ya! Read on and believe me, the last thing Chris's take on female fashion will do, is disappoint! He's been one of the first readers to actually 'like' all four looks and find the positive in each ensemble...so cheers to that, Chris!

So, without further ado...let's hear Chris's gripping thoughts on our gorgeous four lady-loves; Jessica Simpson, Reese Witherspoon, Vanessa Minnillo and Heidi Klum! Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from him about the three stunningly clad starlets:

Jessica Simpson - "Holy enormous snot colored bag Batman!! She seems to be in her “out and about” clothing. I really like her hair pulled back by her shades like that. Her hair color, classic dirty blonde, can’t really go wrong with that in my book. Her enormous hoop earrings while a little Rose Perez are still working with her more casual ensemble. I like plaid stuff but this is hardly a flannel. I think the plaid jacket, while covering her impressive figure is still flattering because of its slim fit. Tight jeans…nothing wrong with that, although I find it a bit strange that she has no feet. Maybe a shorter inseam, maybe a more tapered leg. I really like her wrist band. Her necklace(s) long with seafoam green jewels or whatever, looks good to me as well, but not necessarily needed. Now, about the mother kangaroo pouch complete with baby kangaroo…now that’s a bag. Is this how lady power-shoppers who shop all day without a trip to the car carry their spoils?"

Reese Witherspoon - "Ah yes. This is what I’m talking about. Reese is looking amazing here. I love the beach babe, blonde locks, the short bang look totally works for her. Not all women in my opinion can pull this off, but she has a narrow moon shaped face so the bangs do not create an outline effect rounding out her face. Some people might say that the black is boring but this Audrey Hepburn-esque ensemble is anything but that in my opinion. Call me crazy but I love the subtle clash of colors between the almost Easter purple top and the dark violet heels. I know they hurt you girls, but you look damn good in them, as you know. She ‘s looking a little pale though, but I honestly like the contrast of her white skin with the stark black majority of the outfit, and as I mentioned above the subtle clash of the top, shoes, and the accent of her yellow bracelet that I am noticing now. Her eye makeup is a bit heavy, but it serves as an effective outline against her white skin and brings out the blue in her eyes. No neckwear to speak of, no need. This look is all about little subtleties. I feel it was well thought out. I think she pulls off simple, mod elegance with tasteful-clashing highlights. It also helps that I’ve heard her sing June Carter songs, and talk with a southern accent. You can take a man out of the south…but, well you know the rest."

Vanessa Minnillo - "OK. First off I find Vanessa to be very attractive. I don’t watch much TV so I’m not familiar with who she is, but I am familiar with hot and I believe that is what we have here, (moment, now over). She chose three bold colors that I feel you can’t really go wrong with. Red and white go great together, so does red and black, black and white, etc. Some fashion types might say it was a safe choice, but with her great dark skin tone it looks amazing. The red and black hair clip goes great with the fire engine red purse and matching red lip color, and the contrast with the black and white, almost jungle print dress is definitely hot. I like the pulled back, but styled in front hair-do. Very subtle earrings, nothing dangly. I feel like this is a somewhat modern approach to a classic idea. Overall, I’d call this a classy ensemble; it’s not necessarily breaking any new ground, but when you got it, you got it babe. I could do without the Reebok backdrop."

Heidi Klum - "Ok. I suppose I’ll break this pretty lady down from head to toe. Hair: not everybody could pull this off, but I have to say she does. She has great hair, the coloring seems to match her skin tone quite well, and she definitely has the healthy, tanned Hollywood vibe going on. (I realize she is German). I think she let the dress do all the talking. I can’t discuss her earrings without getting into this metallic little number. Every accessory she has on all tie in from the butterfly bracelet, to the tiny silver purse to those silver open toed heels which I am a total sucker for. She is clearly at some famous people function and she’s a tall (5/9&1/2 to be exact) and a very well proportioned fashionista. I think she looks amazing. Now, I must also defend myself in saying my critiques are only my opinion; from a heterosexual male’s (the enemy’s) perspective, but for me I wouldn’t really want my lady wearing something like this. Big picture, she looks hot, I mean it’s Heidi Klum. She looks like a super hot, silver-alligator from the everglades of the future, in a really good way."

Ok, so you have to admit there were MANY-A-QUOTE in here that you were giggling at. How about stating that Jessica Simpson's bag is how lady-power-shoppers carry their spoils? L-O-V-E it! I know Chris' Mom and seriously KNOW that this is a woman that knows how to shop...so I just want to give her a virtual high-five on this one...she raised him well! Thanks Chris...you brightened RunwayDaily's day...and numerous other readers...your wit and keen eye made for a wonderful Male Bytes addition! Cheers to Friday, everyone!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Beckett Horner Byting Ali Larter, Sophia Bush, Amy Smart and Victoria Beckham

Male_bytes_beckett_horners_perspect

Wow, am I ever delivering a hilarious Monday post for my readers. Ok, so as I've said before, Male Bytes is garnering some serious attention and making readers laugh everywhere! It's Monday...many of you may actually be at work...and some of you may be home for President's Day, but I'm here...working HARD for you!

Female fashion from a man's perspective is precisely what will make your eyes twinkle and your dimples pucker up. Our Byter this week, is none other than RunwayDaily's brother, Beckett Horner. Now, being a student, I expected his input back to me, in...let's see...A MONTH! I was astonished when his thoughts on these four stellar, lady-loves was back to me in only a FEW days. So naturally, golf claps and kudos to a student who KNOWS where his priorities are!

There is an EXTRA lil' surprise at the bottom...that made me actually shriek in horror and then my eyes started tearing up, because I was laughing SOOOOOOO hard! Honestly...there is just something about silly college years that will always make me smile! I don't want to give it away...let's just say a certain 'roommate' of my brother's was obviously DREAMING to make it big and find a spot in RunwayDaily History!!!! I can easily say, he did!

So, without further ado...let's hear Beckett's gripping thoughts on our gorgeous four lady-loves; Ali Larter, Sophia Bush, Amy Smart and Victoria Beckham! Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from him about the three starlets:

Ali Larter - I love the dress. I think it is very sexy and casual, the color makes it fun and light-hearted, and I love that it is strapless. She looks like she feels really good in it, and I can see why, it looks great! The shoes, however, are the low point of this outfit. The wide straps are a little un-classy, I think. Something simpler would have worked better in this situation (in my opinion). The gist: the color and lack of straps are the best aspects about this outfit, with the shoes being the worst.

Sophia Bush - This outfit doesn't seem to fit any occasion I can think of. First of all, it looks like a glorified robe thats been trimmed at the bottom. Secondly, although I am a fan of earth-tones, I'm not so sure it looks good on her lighter skin. The shoes and the purse seem really casual, and I like them. The purse is really nice and also really practical (because we all know that is exactly what she is going for here).  So if the dress is meant to be casual, it seems like its trying really hard to be dressy. The outfit as a whole seems mismatched and confusing. She could be going to a BBQ or to an awards banquet, and since I cant tell which, I think the outfit is not very well put together.

Amy Smart - This is my favorite by far. At first I thought I liked Ali Larter's the most, but I weigh Amy Smart's unassuming sophistication over Ali Larter's...for lack of better words, hottness! I am a huge fan of leggings. I think they are sexy, but quiet. And I like the dark tones, they make her seem classy and composed. It is a very well put together outfit. Also to note, without the belt, the outfit would be about half as good. I love the belts around dresses, its a nice division through a dress that is basically the same from the shoulders down to the knees. Her bracelet also has the same effect of taking the focus away from a dress that would be redundant without subtle accessories.

Victoria Beckham - If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, big sunglasses are great! I'm a huge fan! The scarf is also a favorite accessory of mine, I thinks it's understated and works well with almost any outfit. Now, although I do think this outfit exudes class, even if she is just taking a stroll down the street, it seems a little old-fashioned.  I don't dislike this style, but it's also not my favorite. I think the purse works well both in color, with the navy and the brown, and in form with the whole style of the outfit. The pointed heels are also a favorite of mine.

So there you have it, straight from the male-model horse's mouth! Ok, can I just point out briefly, that I'd bet SERIOS moolah that my brother and ALL his roommates sat around and wrote their opinions together! Why do I think that? They are the funniest and smartest group of guys I know. They're also pretty witty and daring...as you can see, below!

Yes, I also received THIS PICTURE back as an addition to the post! One of his roommates, practically in HIDEOUS drag, with a complete run-down of why "HER" ensemble doesn't work. Ummm...I just have to point out the football game on "Brianna's" big screen and the can of Pringles! Funny boys...thanks for bringing a HUGE smile to RunwayDaily today! Readers, I know you'll enjoy!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Jim Christian Byting Sienna Miller, Hayden Panettiere and Maria Menounos

Male_bytes_jim_christian_on_sienna_

So I have happy some hump day/Wednesday FUN for all my avid readers out there! I've gotten so much wonderful feedback on the RunwayDaily Male Bytes Category...you are really enjoying peeking inside the male mind...and boy, oh boy, are their fashion opinions interesting!

This week, we have Jim Christian, at the helm! He's byting Sienna Miller, Hayden Panettiere and Maria Menounos. All three celebs have similar ensembles but each keeping to her own personal sense of style. My fave of the three is definitely Maria, but I have to honestly laugh out loud because Jim called her choice of footwear "pirate boots!"

Read on, you will not be disappointed that you took 5 measly minutes out of your hectic work day for this! Thanks Jim...you're now an M.D. who can write "fashion prescriptions!" And P.S. - the picture is just a classic...scrubs and a brewsky, love it!

Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from Jim about the three starlets:

Sienna Miller - "Not 100% in love with this look. Neil Diamond comes to mind..."Rhinestone Cowboy". Becka (my wife) has said something about a 'Be-Dazzler'...I vaguely remember my sister having one of those back in the '80s. Studs and sparkles all over everything. She looks like she just stepped off her Harley and is about to grab a Budweiser or PBR."

Hayden Panettiere - "I actually kind of like this one, it's like rocker-chick, but not as scary. The boots are pretty cool, but I'm not crazy about the jeans-a little on the tight side if you know what I mean. Am I allowed to say camel toe? That's probably too gross, I probably shouldn't say that. Don't write that."

Maria Menounos - "It was going well until I got to the knees...those look like pirate boots! Why are they folded down? Does that mean they can go up even higher? Maybe she can wear a sword and an eye patch, get a little peg leg...oh wait, then she couldn't wear the bitchin' boots!"

So there you have it! Straight from the horses mouth. Becka better get rid of all her 'pirate looking boots' or just wear an eye patch next time she sports them! Too cute, too cute...though I could've done without the C.T. there at the end...he's honest and we respect that. And maybe it will make us think twice about what guys notice when we leave the house in SKIN-TIGHT jeans (uh hummm, Hayden!)

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Jeff Register Byting Jennifer Garner, Rachel Bilson, Hayden Panettiere and Blake Lively

Get ready for another UBER fun addition of Male Bytes. These are seriously getting better, every week! So it's friday, woo woo, and many a female reader has told me how much they enjoy this category.

So here's to kicking off the weekend on a high note and viewing, once again, the male brain at work and seeing what they think of female fashion. This week, Jeff Register, takes my breath away...and has me 'laughing tears' with his sarcasm and wit. Not to mention, his continual references to pop culture is downright genius! "Jeff, need a part-time job? You're hired!" Love it...readers, READ on! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy...I know you will!

Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from Jeff:

Jennifer Garner - "If her defined jawline and toned physique weren't enough to make her look masculine, then the fact that the sash hangs below the dress sure does! (Hello, phallic symbol!) And we all know she could have made a better selection on the shoes than those cream/ivory/mother-of-pearl- whatever they are. This dress makes me feel that her "alias" used to be Matt Damon."

Rachel Bilson - "As previously stated, I'm not a fan of the sashes. But the fact that this one is actually shorter than the dress makes it somewhat acceptable. Her hair and earrings add to the long and slender effect of the dress. The train makes the whole look more elegant. Overall, the best of the four. i'd be the Seth to her Summer any day."

Hayden Panettiere - "Despite her good looks, the stripes on the dress make me so dizzy I don't even want to look at her. Most "heroes" don't usually sport the prison attire. The fit looks attractive, but too tight around the thighs- can she walk?!? Her clutch is way too long for the size of her dress. The heels are nice, they give her a slender look and make her look taller. The hair doesn't look like it took hours to do; again, naturally good."

Blake Lively - "Although the color of the dress is complementary to her skin tone, the placement of the waist band is not complementary to her figure. The thickness and height of the band make the dress seem too uncomfortable and too mature for her age. Her hair looks simple but elegant, but it would be much easier to look at this dress if she wasn't standing in front of a gaudy tapestry. Definitely not a dress to "gossip" about."

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Josh Highlander Byting Katie Lee Joel, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger and Gabrielle Union

Male_bytes_josh_highlanders_perspec

Oh this is such a grand and entertaining category! Sooooo, twice monthly, I plan to ask a male friend/colleague his opinion on a trio of fashionable celeb and model ensembles. What the men reply with, will hopefully, REALLY surprise us all! Not that I think women should dress for men OR even for other women, but we all do it every once in a while...so this will likely lend insight into what impresses different men!

Men and women do think VERY differently as far as fashion goes...I'm surprised and a wee-bit amused at the comments relayed by today's guest, "Byter" - Josh Highlander. A good opinionated man is what makes this category come alive with color and jargon that is VERY new to this fashionista's ears! I'm eating this up and loving every second of it...dare I say we try to 'dress to impress' yet, it seems, the simplest ensembles are what catch the gentleman's eyes. Read on...

I asked Josh to breeze through four different pictures of the featured starlets and tell me what he thought about the looks on Katie Lee Joel, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger and Gabrielle Union. Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from him, below:

Katie Lee Joel - "The shirt looks like a 17th century circus clown. I don't like ankle boots, is it a high heel or a boot? Just pick one. The accessories do seem to go well with this outfit. The skirt, however, looks like a server's attire at a high-end restaurant."

Uma Thurman - "Once again, the shirt has that colonial clown look! Looks like she has a drape around her neck. The jacket looks good, but only on tall people. The pants are cool but the belt is too small for the belt loops. The outfit would look better with heels or tall boots and the watch is cool."

Diane Kruger - "It looks like there's something going on in the back...is it for storage or something? I like the way the neckline looks and the skirt looks like a nice length for a professional working woman. The shoe looks like a fish hook! Her feet have got to be deformed to fit in those shoes..."

Gabrielle Union - "This look is hot! The belt accentuates her slender waist (I heard that on TLC's "What Not to Wear"). I think the shoulders look a little wide. I like the strap around the ankle on the shoes. The bag seems small and useless. My wife would look best in this outfit."

So there you have it, again! Incredible fashion insight from the male mind...intriguing as usual. What a man likes to see a woman wearing is possibly VERY different than the fashions we LOVE! I must just point out that even though Josh doesn't like the "idea" of a belt being too small for the pant-loops....SKINNY BELTS are muy caliente, so don't let that deter! Thanks for that, Josh...you were a wonderful contributor...very informative for sure! Enjoy!

Male Bytes: Female Fashion from a Man's Perspective - Walt Cullen Byting Kate Moss, Lauren Conrad and Ali Larter

Oh this is such a grand and entertaining new category! So, twice monthly, I plan to ask a male friend his opinion on a trio of fashionable celeb/model ensembles. What the men reply with, will hopefully, REALLY, surprise us all! Not that I think women should dress for men OR even for other women, but we all do it...and this lend insight into what impresses different men!

Men and women do think very differently as far as fashion goes...I'm surprised already at the comments relayed by today's guest, "Byter" - Walt Cullen. This is, none other than, RunwayDaily's husband! Pretty cute, eh?

I asked him to look at the three starlets featured and tell me what he thought about the looks on Kate Moss, Lauren Conrad and Ali Larter. Here's precisely, word for word, what I heard back from him, below:

Kate Moss - "I don't like how the jeans bunch up around the knees and ankles. The jacket looks like a dead rabbit and she needs to comb her hair or something! Is that even Kate Moss? She looks WAY older!"

Lauren Conrad - "I like the whole look except the way her sleeves come down over her hand and under her jacket sleeve. I do like the look and I think it looks cool and very well put together! Not too overstated but nice and casual."

Ali Larter - "This is my favorite look...a button down shirt and jeans, but you already know that. It's very feminine but still very sexy, and then kind of business-like at the same time. Hey, she's at the Ivy! And I like her big black bag too!"

So there you have it! What a man/my man likes to see a women wearing! Guess i need to chuck any of my furry vests and watch to make sure there is no jeans 'bunching' around my knees and ankles! Insight from the male mind...always VERY interesting! Enjoy!
