Personal Style Under $100: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Three Different Leopard Scarf Looks

I know, I know...we're totally on a leopard kick lately. HERE's a post about leopard heels being absolutely fierce for fall so we hope we're not overwhelming you. But readers, leopard is oh so HOT right now. And we don't want you to be afraid of this feline craze so we're hoping to share with you some great ways to incorporate it easily into your fall/winter wear.

So check out below, I adore my leopard scarf. I've had it for years and I can't even remember where I purchased it. Remember our scarf wearing post HERE? (No really, if you haven't seen that video, click that link...it's fashion epic!) We're totally rocking the DIY Infinity in this post. We love that you can pair a leopard scarf with an all black ensemble, stripes and even florals.

Don't be afraid to mix it with prints (obviously) and just toss it on whatever you're wearing. Too many times we try to 'match' our scarf with our look and that just turns out looking like you've tried too hard. We've hand picked numerous scarves in every price range (way below) for your easy one-stop shopping pleasure. Get a brown toned and grey toned leopard scarf and you'll be so happy this season. It'll surely be one of your fave pieces to mix in on a weekly basis! Experiment galore (don it as a belt over your black maxi dress) because that's what makes fashion so fun!

And or those of you that are a sucker for a bump watch, we're getting there folks! These were at about 33-34 weeks along. Oh my gosh, that's even bizarre to type out. All is looking great and we have about a 5 lb. baby boy in there. So crazy to think there is something twice the size of our tiny pup Zola inside of me, ha! I'm getting/feeling a wee-but nervous lately and maybe having some anxiety about it all. I've been pretty cool the whole pregnancy so I guess it's just time for some crazies to come out, ha! Wish us luck as we enter the last month of baby baking! Enjoy!

Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Learning to Dress the Growing Baby Bump

So guess what? As the bump grows, so does my frustration with my wardrobe choices. It's really not something I can totally put into words but dressing a growing bump definitely comes with it's pitfalls and triumphs. Maybe it's the fact that I just haven't splurged on many maternity items yet. I can still fit into so many of my pre-pregnancy clothes so I just haven't found the need. I think that's about to change as the bump is growing leaps and bounds lately so I'll need to invest in a few classic pieces...soon! More on that, below.

Moving on to the looks, here's what I sported on a few different occasions last week. I was almost 26 weeks (that would be 6 1/2 months for those of you that aren't on the preggo weekly schedule...believe me, I think it's kinda strange too) and starting to realize that some pieces just aren't fitting like they were before. So I finally busted out two of my maternity shirts that have been hanging in my closet.

Read on for the ensemble details, my top 25 classic maternity pieces under $100 and some bump pics too!

Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Learning to Dress the Growing Baby Bump - 1

Tunic: Maternity Expression (a thrift store find)

Shorts: Liz Lange - Target

Wedge Sandals: Bakers

Watch: Michael Kors

Cuff Bracelet: Italian market in Venice (on our honeymoon)

Pearl Earrings: Bridesmaid gift from my girl, Jordan

Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Learning to Dress the Growing Baby Bump - 2

Tank: Gift from my friend, Kelly (it's vintage Target, ha!)

Shorts: Liz Lange - Target (yeah, these get some serious wear)

Gold Chain Necklace: Maternal Grandmother's

Aviator Shades: Urban Outfitters

Gladiators: Cheapie (but comfy) find at shoe warehouse in San Francisco

So about those classic pieces...knowing I'll have to splurge on a few in the near future, I've started my search early. I've hand picked 25 pieces that I'd love to own under $100 below. I think spending more on a classic maternity piece is a smart move because you can wear it for subsequent pregnancies and also wear it multiple times too (uh hum, my white shorts) which means, it's getting more bang for it's buck. So if you're expecting and contemplating buying a maternity item that's a bit out of your budget, figure the ppw (price per wear, thanks Tiff) and go from there!

Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Seasonless Printed Maxi Dress Under $50

Morgan Culen from RunwayDaily - printed maxi dress

Dress: Forever 21

Bag: Stein Mart (old school green leather goodie)

Sandals: Dillard's

Necklace: Wrapped a longer necklace around twice / Maternal Grandmother's

Earrings: Gold hoops / gift from my parents

I love, love a seasonless maxi dress. Seriously, I wear them year round. I've recently been scooping up a few more because of the ol' baby bump (they are great shape makers for pregnant women) and love what's out there in stores. I always score a great maxi at Forever 21 when I pop in there. But I make sure to try them all on because sometimes they can be a bit short on me. I also find luck at Target and Nordstrom too.

I sported this look on our recent weekend vacation for RWD Hubby's birthday HERE.

And for those of you that love a bump watch...this would've been at about 22 1/2 weeks along. I love that maxis flatter you in places where you want them to and then cover up areas that you're working on hiding. I just love me a maxi. I've been trying to actually don something different during my pregnancy because I'd wear them all day, everyday. This dress was recently purchased from Forever 21 for under $15 (not even on sale) so if you like what you see, pop in and grab it! Or shop our hand picked selection above...so many great dresses!

Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Denim Shirt, Maxi Skirt and Crochet Tank and Picks Under $50

I just have to give some background on this here supremely comfy summer look. So dressing my bump isn't as easy as it seems. This was my third try on Saturday morning. Seriously, I've never been the kind of girl who stands there and stares at her closet and tries on multiple ensembles before racing out the door. I always just throw it together and go. It's a blessing for sure, but when it comes to dressing, I've always had a really easy time making decisions and not fretting at all.

Well, well...enter a baby bump and I'm like a 15 year old girl, sitting on the floor of her closet, screaming at her Mom that she has noooo clothes! Seriously, I think I tried on two different looks prior to this concoction, both of which Hubby gave the thumbs up on. But you know what, I just didn't feel pretty. So back to the drawing board for a look that can weather the Austin heat and also flatter my figure. Voila, a maxi skirt and crochet tank always does the trick in my book!

And for those of you that love a good bump watch pic, Baby Boy Cullen is growing for sure! And how about that picture perfect lil' pup! Holy bonkers, she cracks me up! Granted, it was her Daddy taking the picture and she always has all eyes on him so it's no wonder she was staring right at the camera, he was behind the lens! I'm feeling really awesome lately and enjoying the joys of my second trimester and all the energy that comes with it.

This pic was snapped on Saturday before I headed out on a fun girlie/preggers day date with my friend Mel from I Heart Photography. We ate a massive breakfast, shopped South Congress in Austin and then hit up Barton Creek Mall too! Our lil' pregger legs were super tired after all that walking. I'm 21 1/2 weeks along in this pic, for those of you that like to keep track of that stuff. And for my non, in the know, readers...that's almost 5 1/2 months of a 10 month pregnancy! Thanks for your support as we embark on such a huge adventure and hope this inspires my bump-tastic readers to dress their bump proudly too!

Ok, so obviously my body is going through some, uh hum, changes and with that comes the task of learning to dress my growing bump! This outfit really does make me feel feminine, strong and on-trend. Bump watch alert! So we found out yesterday (when this pic was taken) if we're having a boy or girl, so head on over and find out that answer HERE, if you're curious. Also, it looks like I might be a bit farther along than I thought. This was supposed to be at 18 weeks but the Doctor thinks I might be almost 20 weeks. So that might be a half-baked bun right there. He still needs to consult with my primary Doctor before any due dates are moved...but for now, we're happy to report a healthy and growing baby. Enjoy!

Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Ankle Wrap Sandals and Cotton Basics Under $50

Ankle Wrap Sandals and Cotton Basics - morgan cullen from runwaydaily - 1

Sandals: from Italy (my faves)

White V Neck T: Victoria's Secret

Cuffed Baggy Shorts: American Eagle

Long Gold Locket Necklace: Grandmother's

Short Gold Cross Necklace: Gift from my Parents

Sunglasses: Fossil

Bra: Navy blue...sure, why not

I literally LOVE ankle wrap sandals. This pair hails from Italy and I swear I should've bought them in every color and two pairs of black. They've help up so nicely for all the years of wear/tear they've been through and RWD Hubby always says, 'I told you to get two pairs!' He did, I was looking at a camel and gold pair too...ugh, the regret! But I have hand picked some affordable ankle wrap/cuff sandals below for you to also don such a great summer show style.

Let me just point out that these shorts at my mega baggy, hang around the house shorts. I won't even divulge the actual size they are but I don't even care...they are comfy and cool and I love them. Well, these days, I'm so thankful for these (I also have them in khaki) because they are about the only pairs of bottoms that fit comfortably, ha! I actually love pairing them with tights and boots during the fall/winter months so make sure you have a great pair of cuffed shorts...you'll actually use them all year long, most likely.

You can see the itty bitty bump poking out at the bottom of my shirt and right above my waistband. Yep, I'll be 17 weeks pregnant this Sunday so it's almost half time/half way baked! Hard to believe! Hugs for your support and love! It's a lot harder to dress a bump than I thought it would be, just fyi!

Ok, seriously...I'm looking super tired in this pic but baby bakin' is hard business people! Hubby took these pics (yay HUBBY) and Zola wanted to be in one too. I love pairing bright solids with stripes. It's so on-trend for summer and a really great way to add a fierce pop of color into your day. Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily - Belted Bonanza

Morgan Cullen from Runway Daily - how to wear ankle cowboy boots

Dinner Date with Hubby

Why I love it: Relaxed and laid back, hubby loves me in boots and jeans. I also love to cuff my skinny jeans too. I've added a touch of Hepburn with the boatneck striped T and the additional accessories are my grandmother's so they hold a special place in my heart. I also was sporting this ensemble sans belt and took and picture then realized I needed a waist cinchure. Seriously, sport a belt to show off your waistline ladies...it's the quick fix for figure flattering curves.

Pieces:

Earrings - gold hoops (gift from my parents)

Necklaces - vintage (from my grandmother)

Cardigan - Nordstrom Rack

Striped T - H&M (I love that store, wish we had one here)

Skinny patent leather belt - Goodwill

Watch - Anne Klein (gift from hubby)

Jeans - Paris Blues (yep...I just wrote that, they are one of my all times faves!)

Camel colored ankle cowboy boots - vintage (from my fave San Francisco store)

Morgan Cullen from Runway Daily - menswear for daytime and socks with sandals

Lunch with Karen

Why I love it: It's menswear meets a tad-bit sexy. This vest gets some serious mileage and I clearly remmeber standing at the rack and wondering if I'd really wear it. And boy, have I ever! I also love to mix it up sporting some socks and sandals when the weather turns a bit cooler. The ladylike addition of the butterfly hair accessories is perfect to glam/femme it up a bit!

Pieces:

Headband duo - Banana Republic

Butterfly clip - Claire's

Vest - vintage

Blue t-shirt - Walmart (Miley & Max line)

Belt - vintage (fave)

Jeans - Zara (yep, they're actually my younger brothers old jeans)

Brown socks - so old that I have no idea

Cork wedge heels - Bakers

Morgan Cullen from Runway Daily - minnetonka moccasins and perfect cloche hat

Errand Time

Why I love it: Point blank, the straw fedora covers up a bad hair day and allows me to run out the door, sans makeup, but still feel well dressed. The cream cardigan and sweater shirt combo is laid back and comfy too. I love those bright red jeans and they fit like a glove and the addition of the moccasins makes the look hipster, without trying too hard.

Pieces:

Fedora - TJ Maxx

Necklace - vintage (my grandmother's)

Cardigan - H&M

Bangles - collected from everywhere

Sweater shirt - Target (old school)

Grey belt - Goodwill

Red jeans - Old Navy

Minnetonka Moccasins - Nordstrom

Morgan Cullen from Runway Daily - long white sweater and cowboy boots

Babysitting Cotter Kiddos w/the Hubster

Why I love it: Firstly, someone cute, tiny, hairy and donning her red sweater snuck into the pic which always makes me smile. Also, this definitely didn't photograph as well as it wore, just fyi! I love the long sweater over two wispier layers. The look is grounded by the big, thick leather belt and rugged slouchy cowboy boots. I rocked my skinny army green cargoes for comfort because, ya know, we were babysitting! Have to be able to move around and play with those cute lil' monkeys, right?

Pieces:

Sweater - White House/Black Market

T shirt -Kohl's (Lauren Conrad Collection)

Wispy under layer tank - H&M

Belt - vintage (purchased on our Italian honeymoon in Rome)

Skinny cargoes - Nordstrom

Slouchy cowboy boots - Steve Madden (old school, love those puppies!)

Morgan Cullen from Runway Daily - How to wear a striped T

Polished for a Party

Why I love it: For some reason, I just dig this look and don it quite frequently. You know, your fave combo! Mine is totally a long belted cardigan over a striped shirt (look at first image above, different striped T though but same cardigan) paired with tight skinnies and knee high boots. Sorry Austin friends, I know you're so sick of seeing me in this, but if daily life had a uniform, this would be mine! I feel put together and fashionable in this ensemble, just sayin!

Pieces:

Starburst Swarovski necklace - gift from my grandmother

Cardigan - Nordstrom Rack

Striped shirt - H&M

Black leather belt - vintage (from my fave store in San Francisco)

Black skinny jeans - Cheap Monday

Dark grey boots - Target (old school)

Personal Style: Morgan Cullen from RunwayDaily

I asked and you answered! As promised, I'm delivering the goods! A few weeks ago THIS post asked all readers if they'd be interested in reading/seeing more about my own Personal Style and the outcome is below. I apologize for the three voters that have no interest in seeing me, please tune back in on Monday and we'll surely have a runway/celebrity inspired post. As for the other 13 readers that said they 'Surely would' like to see more of my mad dressing skills (I kid, I kid)...your wish is granted below! Yep, Christmas arrived early!

Voting outcome
Ok, so I'm obviously not going to accepting any phone calls from The Sartorialist anytime soon. And just for the record, it's been literally years since I've posted ensemble pictures. So bear with me as I get my bearings because this will definitely be a process that'll take some time. It's really important to me that we celebrate all women's figures and just praise independent style and personal choices for creative expression through clothing. So with that being said, here's my last seven ensembles I've deemed worthy of mention...plus my lil' hairy baby Zola loves to steal the show!

Long brown maxi dress and cropped cream sweater

One of my all time favorite finds, this Forever 21 maxi dress is such a perfect balance between carefree and elegant. I've been able to sport it to the park and also to fancy functions. This was my Thanksgiving Day look and I paired it with brown gladiators and a vintage cream bolero sweater by St. John. The right hand candy is a big gold lucite piece by BCBG.

I'm also wearing Swarovski drop earrings (shop my picks below) from the hubby that have seriously seen their mileage. Those shiny dropped goodies always make me feel beyond feminine and completely dressed up. If you've never purchased anything from Swarovski, let me introduce you to one of my all-time favorite classic/timeless brands.

How to wear black jeans and a black t shirt

I love and will always love my bootcut Hudson jeans. They are the perfect jeans to throw on and race out the door, not feeling slouchy or under-dressed. Their cut is genius and their back pockets do wonders for all booties. I paired them with a plain black T from Target, a vintage leather belt (my fave) and my knee high black boots by Alex Marie at Dillard's. They were such an amazing find because their cut, platform height and supple leather rocks!

I'm also carrying the Kooba Sienna bag, which I adore. Truly, this ensemble doesn't really photograph as well as it really looked. I met up with some friends and they were all hoopin' and hollerin' at how foxy I looked. There is something so sexy, dark and Angelina-lke about black jeans and a black T!

printed scarf and purple long cardigan and high waisted skirt

I'm a firm believer that a printed scarf can jazz up any boring ol' outfit and bring me back to the tropics on a cold Austin day. I actually can't even remember where I got that scarf but I'm thinking H&M. Featherweight T shirt from Target and long purple cardigan is from Nordstrom Rack. That paperbag high waisted skirt is a grand find from Banana Republic and my brown tights and grey boots are also from Target (man, I love that store!)

PS - You love that I didn't even crop out all of our Christmas boxes...keepin' it real on RWD and CasaCullen is how I roll.

picnic table scarfd and nude colored booties and tight skinny jeans and grey sweater

When the weather gets cooler here in Austin I get all excited. Why? I get to bust out all my awesome clothes from our years spent in San Francisco. I'm especially fond of these vintage ankle boots (shop my picks below) that were in impeccable condition and only $10 at one of my favorite Goodwills in the Bay Area.

They key to pulling off this look is making sure to pair your ankle boots with skintight skinnies OR leggings. Don't try to stuff your regular skinnies into ankle boots...it'll look ridiculous! I've paired them with skin tight Cheap Monday jeans in jet black. A purple burnout T from Urban Outfitters with a vintage grey sweater and picnic table scarf rounds out this look.

cloche hate and baggy shorts with tights and quilted flat boots

Cloches are one of my favorite type of hats. I find them ladylike but then also kind of masculine too (if that even makes sense) and I find myself sporting this one from Urban Outfitter all fall/winter long. A neutral colored cap is a great way to disguise a bad hair day too.

I'm sporting an oversized T from the Miley/Max Collection from Walmart and again, there's that vintage leather belt. My shorts are also big, baggy and comfy and are American Eagle, my tights are Target and the the quilted Jessica Simpson brown boots are from Dillard's. I seriously score some great kicks at Dillard's awesome end-of-season shoe sales!

how to wear a cut off jeant vest and black converse and bootcut jeans

I love a jean vest. It's totally boho-chic and reminds me of Sienna Miller or Nicole Richie. Mine is a vintage find and I've had it for years. I've paired it with a 3/4 length dressier T from Nordstrom Rack and some bootleg jeans that rock my world by Buffalo David Bitton. Also, you'll see my chucks get a good run because I don't know what I'd do without my three pairs of Converse. Nothing too fancy here, just racing out of the house to get some last minute Christmas shopping done (note the huge grin!)

how to wear a plaid shirt and black riding boots and yellow crochet knitted cap

Last, but not least, plaid shirts are my obsession and I only own a few. This one was a Portland, OR Goodwill find and I've rocked it for years. It's old school Liz Claiborne. I love pairing a plaid shirt with a plaid scarf for an unexpected print-on-print look. The black and white scarf was from a cheapie tourist trap of a store down near Pier 39 in San Francisco. Rocking my long purple cardigan from Nordstrom Rack again and my skin tight skinnies by Cheap Monday.

My Mom actually bought me my black suede and leather riding boots years ago and I'm serious when I say, they are one of my favorite items in my entire wardrobe. Classic, timeless and something I'll never let go of. I'm also wearing my black Lacoste readers and a bright yellow knit beret from Urban Outfitters (check out more below!) I think a bright colored knit beret/beanie is the perfect topper for any winter look! PS - Slightly un-tucked button down shirts do not lead to great midsection pictures, just fyi!
