I love today's post. I'm quite the recessionista and really try to save money while still adopting all the new spring trends. Today is a great example of how to do that. By now, you better all have a dark blazer and sport it with everything from a chic dress to a t-shirt and jeans. It's the easiest go-to item that's so chic and in style right now.
Next up, I know you've been starting at those gorgeous heels in your closet that haven't been busted out for months. Believe me, I understand. My Pluey's and flat boots are getting more use right now than any of my heels combined. But spring is right around the corner, so move those stylish and pretty heels to the front. Get out that pumice stone and get those feet pedi-ready to be shown off.
Lastly, the above Spring 2010 Thakoon image grabbed my attention because I'm on the hunt for the perfect fitting knee length shorts. With this look, you want the knee-grazing goodies to be tight to balance out the proportions of the blazer and alleviating a big, boxy look. Maybe you already own the perfect pair...if so, your ensemble is complete, bravo. I nearly bought a pair at Lucky the other day, but they just weren't up to par.
Hmmmmm...and the search continues. This here post is, as usual, aimed at all my dear readers. But I'm also someone that will greatly benefit from the finds below as they're all under $50. The first pair shown from American Apparel are a great match for emulating the above Thakoon runway look. So dear readers, pair these three key pieces together and you have a chic look that transitions well from winter into spring and doesn't break the bank. Enjoy!
