Charity: Watch4Her - Sheena from the Uniform Project

A close friend of mine asked me if I'd heard of The Uniform Project and I was embarrassed to say I hadn't. Since I've actually not heard of it, I deemed it completely likely that some readers may be in the know and others may be just like me so I just had to share right away. Sheena from the U.P. is one smarty pants, dress donning lady with charity on the brain. She wore the same exact dress for 365 days! Want to know what it's truly all about and why she did this? Here's a snippet from her site:

"Starting May 2009, I have pledged to wear one dress for one year as an exercise in sustainable fashion. Here’s how it works: There are 7 identical dresses, one for each day of the week. Every day I will reinvent the dress with layers, accessories and all kinds of accouterments, the majority of which will be vintage, hand-made, or hand-me-down goodies. Think of it as wearing a daily uniform with enough creative license to make it look like I just crawled out of the Marquis de Sade's boudoir. 

The Uniform Project is also a year-long fundraiser for the Akanksha Foundation, a grassroots movement that is revolutionizing education in India. At the end of the year, all contributions will go toward Akanksha’s School Project to fund uniforms and other educational expenses for children living in Indian slums."

Pretty awesome and inspiring, right? She's single handedly raised over $104,000! Gold claps, high fives and huge smiles are what we're sending her way! We love inventive, creative, smart and charitable women for sure and Miss Sheena takes the cake! Watch4Her: Model Erin Wasson's "Sophomore" Stylist Premiere for Alexander Wang

I love me some Erin Wasson...I covet the designs that come down Alexander Wang's Runways. What do these two have in common? A marriage made in heaven, again...is what I foresee evolving from this creative duo!

Erin Wasson is one of the hottest models...her signature mole and killer gaze, and not to mention that POUT, have landed her trademark "look" on the cover of magazines, editorials, advertisements and runway shows. Her personal style is totally eclectic, funky and very original. So much to love! Has Wasson ever been a stylist before these two gigs? No! But her personal style OFF the runway is what garnered Wang's attention! Knowing that, my dears, is why looking good off the job is "muy importante!"

Alexander Wang is the young designer (23) who has taken the fashion circuit by storm. I covered his show last year, HERE, and it took my breath away. A 'Boy Meets Girl' aesthetic ran deep, showing memorable statement pieces, such as; loosely belted shirt-dresses, tuxedo buttons on almost everything, a ripped up wife-beater paired with a sleeveless/cropped jacket and a super short pocketed grey shift.

The two creative extraordinaires are collaborating, once again, for Wang's Fall 2008 Ready to Wear show and expect nothing less than AWESOME from Wasson's Sophomore Stylist Debut and Wang's captivating genius. You know I'll be the FIRST to tell you about the show, but Fall Fashion Week is still a few days away!

Watch4Her: Ashlee Register on ABC's DUEL - UPDATE!!

I've recently received many-an-email about my former coverage regarding my cousin, Ashlee Register, and her appearance on the newest hit gameshow DUEL. Well, I have amazing and wonderful news for everyone....drumroll please...SHE WON! That's right folks! She...won...it...ALL! The whole she-bang, the entire show...she WON!!!

Her grand WINNING total was $1,795,000...making her the highest-paid, female, game-show money winner, to-date...and fifth, overall, in winning history! That's right...she's in the RECORD BOOKS! Obviously the family was BEYOND excited! Being around everyone this Christmas was absolutely wonderful and to share in her JOY was exhilirating!

Her plans? Ashlee said, "Well...NO debt at all! How nice will it be to have no student loans to pay, a mortgage that is paid off and a comfortable chunk for our retirement? I really feel blessed!"

Ashlee recently got married in October to Jeff Register. And can I just take a moment to point out that HE is also the lucky one (for many more reasons than this) but most obviously in the fact that he WON the Newlywed-Lottery, in my book! The hubby of a millionaire = not a shabby life...if I do say so myself!

Much love and happiness to both of them...just wanted to SHARE the great news! Ashlee, pictured below, crying after her BIG WIN!

PS - This DOES, indeed, have a bit to do with FASHION because Ashlee also informed me of her cram-shopping-session before taping. Yowzers, did she ever glow and SHINE on television. Her classic ensembles and perfect skin were truly radiant...makin' me proud! I'm lovin' the "Sangria-Red" manicure too, Chick!

Watch4Her: Ashlee Register on ABC's DUEL - Airing TONIGHT!

Soooo, I have some exciting news to share...DUEL is a new game shown on ABC, at 8/7 central, airing TONIGHT! Yeah, yeah...I know, I know...a new show...but this one is VERY special! It has nothing to do with fashion (except the contestant I'm highlighting is a pretty fashionable lady) and it has nothing to do with modeling (but she's 6' tall). Oh yes, you guess it...I personally know one of the contestants!!! It's my gorgeous cousin, Ashlee Register. Even though I'm family...none of us know how well she played or if she WON the $1,000,000! We are so excited to support her and I just HAD to pass the info along.

This time of year, as all of our fave show finales are pretty much OVER and the writer's strike even allowed some finales to never even be aired (boo!)...'what to watch' might be a BIG question in your household! As you're in a post-dinner/tv-induced coma and flipping through the channels...sit your pretty booty on the couch tonight and check out DUEL!! I'd even go as far as to ask you to SCREAM, "Go Ashlee" for me!! She's gorgeous, destined for Hollywood...just an amazing woman! Seriously...all fingers crossed, this is one 'chick' that deserves only the BEST and has worked so hard for all she has! Check out her bio, below, via ABC.com:

Ashlee and her husband, Jeff, spent their recent honeymoon in the Bahamas with an unexpected guest -- Tropical Storm Noel. What was supposed to be a weekend of fun and sun ended up a nightmare. They were shut in their hotel room and did not see any sunlight until the morning of their flight home.

Ashlee and her husband do not have any children but they do have three "kids" -- a trio of Labrador retrievers. Ashlee says this family came together in a very "Brady Bunch" fashion. She had a chocolate and yellow lab and Jeff had a black lab. She says his love of dogs was one of the initial reasons why she began dating him.

In 3rd grade, Ashlee's house nearly caught on fire. Thankfully, the fire was put out without too much damage to the house and backyard. Ashlee will never forget this day because the random fire served as an introduction to her best friend, Sarah, who lived around the corner.

Watch4Her: Margherita Missoni

Who is Margherita Missoni, you ask? You might recognize the last name, but this may be a face you've never even SEEN before? No worries...BUT you better watch for her! She is heiress to the Missoni fashion empire and the face of Missoni's newest fragrance campaigns. (Click HERE for more on that!) We're not really talking perfume right now or even who she is dating at the moment...frankly, I don't care! We don't really want to spend any of our precious time on what she does/has done as an Italian socialite! No, not on this site! We're strictly talking STYLE and FASHION here, people, and girlfriend has got that...down pat!

I've included a collage of 15 of my FAVE looks that Margherita has sported to numerous red carpet events and other VIP soirées in the past. Her looks can truly inspire us all! She dons some amazing layering techniques, wears intriguing color combos, accessorizes unexpectedly with metallic accents, chooses color palettes that make her skin GLOW and always stays true to form by accentuating those killer curves. Seriously...just looking at her Top 15 below gives me hope that I can pull off some killer combos for this Holiday Party Season!

Be inspired for sure...Margherita Missoni, having all the money a young woman could ever want/need truly does inspire me to branch out! She's a prime example of something that Mom always said to me for years, "You just can't buy STYLE!" Well, we love hers! Gold Star Style, as you can see below, went to the vested look on the top row. I have to say, I'm actually drawn to it becuase it's sophisticated, lady-like and laid back style! Which look would have been awarded your personal Gold Star?

Watch4Her - Ruby Stewart

So, why is there little emphasis on Ruby?? I mean, everyone LOVES to crack jokes on Kimberly, but why has Ruby gone unnoticed in the tabs?? Someone, please explain!!! I've recently come across many pictures of her (modeling, socializing, partying) and I just have to say, girl has WAY BETTER style than her sister (I know, not hard to do) hands down...so keep your eyes peeled on this one...I'm thinking she might start making a 'bigger' name for herself!
