Style Advice: Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition Ideas Via Five Chictopia Fashion Darlings

Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition - 1

Chictopian Stairway (support her blog: Fashion Zen)

Transition Explained: "Take your summer dress and key accessories (light bag, whimsical hair piece and floral heels) and pair them with a dark cardigan and opaque tights for an update ensemble that's perfect for fall!"

Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition - 2

Chictopian Stylit (support her blog: B. Jones Style)

Transition Explained: "We chatted about a summer denim shirt HERE so put that shirt to use this fall by pairing it with your fave pair of non-similar colored jeans and close toed kicks. Use your imagination but be sure to pair denim with denim, pronto! It's one of fall's hottest trends for MEN and women!"

Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition - 3

Chictopian i'm so excited (support her blog: off of broadway)

Transition Explained: "You most likely have hoards of cute lil' summer print skirts lying around...let's put them to good use! Pair those doozies with OXFORD FLATS, a dark blazer and your fave slouchy tee and you have the perfect early fall ensemble. When the temps creep lower...trade out those kicks for knee high boots and tights!"

Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition - 4

Chictopian Go With the Flow (support her blog: Sterling Style)

Transition Explained: "What do we have here? Casual effortless style. But why not throw one of your fave sweatshirts over this summer's maxi dress and pair it with nude heels and some lady-like accessories. We love this laid-back and easy to emulate look. Get some more use out of all those maxis!"

Summer to Fall Wardrobe Transition - 5

Chictopian Constrictor (support her blog: ChicChicChic)

Transition Explained: "We adore this look for numerous reasons but we most importantly want to point out this is a great way to get some more mileage out of your fave short summer dresses. Pair them with ankle boots and socks and throw a blazer or structure bomber over the dress. Top it all off with a big comfy scarf and you're ready to brave the cold!"

Collection Covet: Jonathan Saunders Spring 2011

Eye candy alert! Literally, Jonathan Saunders Spring 2011 collection stopped me dead in my runway loving tracks. Ohh...mmm...gee, love this entire collection. You can see more HERE as I've only shared my personal favorites. His inspiration wasn't the 70's (like numerous other designers) but instead the wonderful femininity found in the 40's and 50's. Notice the beauty trends too...perfect ponytails with a front twist and bright red lipstick. We find so many of his pieces wearable, flattering and feminine. Yep, hands down, one of our favorite collections in a long time. Enjoy the pics!

Sweet Site: Jenni Radosevich's 'I Spy DIY'

I Spy.com

Image from HERE

We got such great reader feedback on our recent sweet site P.S. I Made This that we knew we had to feature more DIY fashion sites, pronto. We pride ourselves on great DIY projects around the house (HERE) but really haven't been stellar in the creative department as far as DIY fashion is concerned. Maybe 2011 is our year to try our hand at some of these awesome projects featured over on I Spy DIY.

Below are some of our fave DIY ideas from the site but we love that Jenni doesn't limit herself to just DIY. You'll see, once you become an avid reader, that she also features some adorable ensembles, great accessories, fashion roundups and sleek new items. Really, you'll be hooked in no time. Also, make sure to show some lovin' by liking her site on Facebook HERE.

Style Advice: Great Fashion Pointers for a Trendy Fall - Pieces Under $100

Ana Mihajlovic and Lindsay Ellingson

Take a fashion cue from Ana Mihajlovic and Lindsay Ellingson and don a sheer piece this fall. Layer a sheer white tank over a black bra for the ultimate in sex appeal (Ana) or opt for a belly baring sheer tank under a crop top (Lindsay) in a fall hue. Both ladies look ravishing, fresh and totally on trend.

Like this look? Shop these pieces:

Chloe Sevigny

We've always been a fan of the uber darling and daring Chloe Sevigny. Today's look pairs fall's fave florals with leather and denim and...we love it! Look closely, we're thinking this is a denim vest layered over top of a denim bomber, so chic and sleek!

Devon Aoki

Devon Aoki's timeless look is perfect for a fall night out and about. Layer a sheer floral top over a dark bra and pair it with flared leg, perfectly fitted black pants. High waisted black pants are a great investment piece that will withstand every trendy season and will be a timeless wardrobe accent.

Like this look? Shop these pieces:

Eniko Mihalik

We love the grey blazer Eniko Mihalik is donning in this image above, but upon further inspection we can aptly see this is not commonplace blazer. This sleek jacket option is actually a sweater disguised as a blazer. Keep your eye on this trend and scoop up a sweater blazer if you ever see one. We totally think this will be one of fall's hottest jacket options!

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland strikes a mean pose in her animal print ensemble. We love the peek-a-boo bra and sleek brown booties too. Animal prints are all the rage for fall so make sure to sport yours with feline pride.

BOTB - Belle of the Ball: Best Dressed at the 2010 Video Music Awards

Best dressed at the 2010 VMA Awards

The VMA's are always such a good show. There's always something so fun, daring, hilarious and surprising during each year's VMA show. Last night's show definitely impressed but it was all about the fashion for us. We loved Gaga in Alexander McQueen...she rocked it! We also have to highlight Lo Bosworth, Ashley Greene, Kesha and Selena Gommez as stand out looks too. We love when gorgeous gals take a fashion chance and the VMA's are precisely the correct awards show to do, just that! Love these looks...bravo to our fashionable and fancy darlings!

Personal Peek: Wardrobe Essential for Travel - Vera Bradley

Vera bradley fall 2010 collection - new items

Images from HERE

So when was the last time you popped by VeraBradley.com? I know, exactly! I didn't even know it existed until a few days ago. Now listen, I know Vera Bradley might not be the trendiest or statement making brand...but they do have some excellent products that I just have to mention. First of all, when I travel, I always bring my VB cosmetic bag (it was an awesome bridesmaids gift from a friend of mine) and my VB hanging travel cosmetic organizer (similar one is featured above in purple.)

Do you know how many people ask me where I got both of these? Literally, so many women have asked! I think it's an absolute must for keeping all your goodies organized while traveling. I'm not one that loves living out of a suitcase because I like the comforts of an organized home (where everything has its place) but I also love traveling so I've found my Vera Bradley products make my life so much easier, on the road. Do you have any VB products that you just love? I also have a tote and overnight bag (compliments of RWD Hubby as one of my wedding gifts) and they have also gotten their mileage.

Honestly, one of the main reasons I love Vera Bradley is because, drumroll...they are machine washable! Seriously, can I even tell you how many times I wish I could just throw my Gustto or Kooba in the wash. I love me a good leather bag but I also really adore the fact that after a long trip, my VB products come out of the wash looking brand spankin' new! I've rounded up a few items above, but I suggest you head on over to VB and check out their awesome online offerings.

Psst! Here's a great shopping deal, straight from Team VB, that I know you'll just love:

25% Off Paprika and Hope Garden at verabradley.com!

Chictopia Fashion Darlings: How to Wear It - Socks for Fall/Winter

We love the idea of donning sandals, booties, oxfords and boots with socks (that show.) One of our favorite readers recently emailed us a question about how to don socks this fall/winter. We informed her that we'd already covered the trend HERE, HERE and HERE and she said it really helped formulate her fashion attack in this category.

But we got to thinking how much we want to don this look for during the fall/winter season, so we hope this post re-inspires all our readers to step outside of the box and try this trend on, for size! We've incorporated some highly influential pics via our Chictopia gals below and also some one-stop shopping under $25 that'll make you surely invest in a few pairs. Enjoy!

Afternoon Pick Me Up: Personal Peek - Fossil Sunglasses

I love Fossil sunglasses. Oh wait, I'm actually, pretty much obsessed with Fossil sunglasses. I've had two pairs that I've donned for years and they've been the best glasses. The lenses aren't even scratched (and I'm super rough on my shades) and they little fake bling on the side is still just as sparkly as day one. I've decided it's high time I share my love and adoration with you as I'm on the hunt for a great new pair for our upcoming Bahamas cruise. Gotta keep those peepers shaded in style, at all times. Check out these great deals below...because seriously, how amazing is the price point? Enjoy!
