I asked and you answered! As promised, I'm delivering the goods! A few weeks ago THIS post asked all readers if they'd be interested in reading/seeing more about my own Personal Style and the outcome is below. I apologize for the three voters that have no interest in seeing me, please tune back in on Monday and we'll surely have a runway/celebrity inspired post. As for the other 13 readers that said they 'Surely would' like to see more of my mad dressing skills (I kid, I kid)...your wish is granted below! Yep, Christmas arrived early!
Ok, so I'm obviously not going to accepting any phone calls from The Sartorialist anytime soon. And just for the record, it's been literally years since I've posted ensemble pictures. So bear with me as I get my bearings because this will definitely be a process that'll take some time. It's really important to me that we celebrate all women's figures and just praise independent style and personal choices for creative expression through clothing. So with that being said, here's my last seven ensembles I've deemed worthy of mention...plus my lil' hairy baby Zola loves to steal the show!

One of my all time favorite finds, this Forever 21 maxi dress is such a perfect balance between carefree and elegant. I've been able to sport it to the park and also to fancy functions. This was my Thanksgiving Day look and I paired it with brown gladiators and a vintage cream bolero sweater by St. John. The right hand candy is a big gold lucite piece by BCBG.
I'm also wearing Swarovski drop earrings (shop my picks below) from the hubby that have seriously seen their mileage. Those shiny dropped goodies always make me feel beyond feminine and completely dressed up. If you've never purchased anything from Swarovski, let me introduce you to one of my all-time favorite classic/timeless brands.

I love and will always love my bootcut Hudson jeans. They are the perfect jeans to throw on and race out the door, not feeling slouchy or under-dressed. Their cut is genius and their back pockets do wonders for all booties. I paired them with a plain black T from Target, a vintage leather belt (my fave) and my knee high black boots by Alex Marie at Dillard's. They were such an amazing find because their cut, platform height and supple leather rocks!
I'm also carrying the Kooba Sienna bag, which I adore. Truly, this ensemble doesn't really photograph as well as it really looked. I met up with some friends and they were all hoopin' and hollerin' at how foxy I looked. There is something so sexy, dark and Angelina-lke about black jeans and a black T!

I'm a firm believer that a printed scarf can jazz up any boring ol' outfit and bring me back to the tropics on a cold Austin day. I actually can't even remember where I got that scarf but I'm thinking H&M. Featherweight T shirt from Target and long purple cardigan is from Nordstrom Rack. That paperbag high waisted skirt is a grand find from Banana Republic and my brown tights and grey boots are also from Target (man, I love that store!)
PS - You love that I didn't even crop out all of our Christmas boxes...keepin' it real on RWD and CasaCullen is how I roll.

When the weather gets cooler here in Austin I get all excited. Why? I get to bust out all my awesome clothes from our years spent in San Francisco. I'm especially fond of these vintage ankle boots (shop my picks below) that were in impeccable condition and only $10 at one of my favorite Goodwills in the Bay Area.
They key to pulling off this look is making sure to pair your ankle boots with skintight skinnies OR leggings. Don't try to stuff your regular skinnies into ankle boots...it'll look ridiculous! I've paired them with skin tight Cheap Monday jeans in jet black. A purple burnout T from Urban Outfitters with a vintage grey sweater and picnic table scarf rounds out this look.

Cloches are one of my favorite type of hats. I find them ladylike but then also kind of masculine too (if that even makes sense) and I find myself sporting this one from Urban Outfitter all fall/winter long. A neutral colored cap is a great way to disguise a bad hair day too.
I'm sporting an oversized T from the Miley/Max Collection from Walmart and again, there's that vintage leather belt. My shorts are also big, baggy and comfy and are American Eagle, my tights are Target and the the quilted Jessica Simpson brown boots are from Dillard's. I seriously score some great kicks at Dillard's awesome end-of-season shoe sales!

I love a jean vest. It's totally boho-chic and reminds me of Sienna Miller or Nicole Richie. Mine is a vintage find and I've had it for years. I've paired it with a 3/4 length dressier T from Nordstrom Rack and some bootleg jeans that rock my world by Buffalo David Bitton. Also, you'll see my chucks get a good run because I don't know what I'd do without my three pairs of Converse. Nothing too fancy here, just racing out of the house to get some last minute Christmas shopping done (note the huge grin!)

Last, but not least, plaid shirts are my obsession and I only own a few. This one was a Portland, OR Goodwill find and I've rocked it for years. It's old school Liz Claiborne. I love pairing a plaid shirt with a plaid scarf for an unexpected print-on-print look. The black and white scarf was from a cheapie tourist trap of a store down near Pier 39 in San Francisco. Rocking my long purple cardigan from Nordstrom Rack again and my skin tight skinnies by Cheap Monday.
My Mom actually bought me my black suede and leather riding boots years ago and I'm serious when I say, they are one of my favorite items in my entire wardrobe. Classic, timeless and something I'll never let go of. I'm also wearing my black Lacoste readers and a bright yellow knit beret from Urban Outfitters (check out more below!) I think a bright colored knit beret/beanie is the perfect topper for any winter look! PS - Slightly un-tucked button down shirts do not lead to great midsection pictures, just fyi!
