Chictopia Fashion Darlings: Summertime Dressing and Chic Options Under $25

Orange-vintage-dress-pink-thrifted-scarf-brown-cynthia-vincent-for-target-sh_400

Kellyshoestrings from Fresno, CA

Summer is a great time to experiment with bright pops of color and bold accessories. We adore this orange romper dress! Also, a head scarf is a great way to coverup a bad hair day, too. Top off the look with some comfy leather wedges and you're ready to roll.

Blue-urban-outfitters-shorts-white-nastgygal-top-beige-surface-to-air-shoes_400

Playingwithfire from San Francisco, CA

Mix in a striking crochet piece this summer. Pair it with your fave black shorts or some saucy cutoffs. We love the addition of a statement necklace, soft gold bangle and nude strappy wedges. This darling above is hailing from San Francisco so she's also added a cool blue wrap for those cool summer northern California nights.

Beige-american-apparel-skirt-pink-urban-outfitters-shoes-gray-gap-t-shirt_400

Wwwardrobe from Quincy, MA

We adore the combo of floral, beige and nautical stripes. A long maxi skirt might not be the coolest wear for those of you in scorching hot areas, so if that's the case, imagine this combo with a beige mini-skirt and striped tank. We're totally digging the floral wedges...a feminine and unexpected addition!

Black-thrifted-blazer-vintage-blouse-blue-thrifted-shorts-black-vintage-sh_400

Ringo from Brooklyn, New York

How I love this ensemble? Let me count thy ways! Plaid button down, sweet jean cutoffs, classy black loafers and a black boyfriend blazer. Add in that brown jute bag and I might just have a legitimate girl crush. All items are thrifted/vintage and Miss Ringo rocks this look supremely!

Red-random-from-hong-kong-dress-blue-the-ramp-accessories-silver-the-ramp-ac_400

Vernenciso from Manilla, Phillipines

A sweet summer printed dress paired with some massive bling is totally chic. We love the combo of these huge chain necklaces and sweet silver flats with a printed frock. This tank dress style is super great for those fashion-lovers who live in a warm weather climate. We love the fact that it's also a transitional piece because you can pair it with leggings or skinny jeans, come fall.

So, are you totally digging some of the chic combos above? We are too! So we've taken some time and rounded up some similar piece below under $25 for your shopping pleasure. Sure to entice even the pickiest shopper, we can't wait to scoop up a few too! Enjoy!

Chictopia Fashion Darlings: Wardrobe Essential - KEDS

Related Posts with Thumbnails

I love KEDS. I always have and I always will. I actually have a super funny KEDS story from my childhood. Let me set the scene. My Mom, my sister and I were all shopping at the mall when I was somewhere around 12 years old. We were on the hunt for the cheapest white canvas KEDS we could find. We stopped and saw them at Sears for $24.99 and we all agreed that was really a good price point. My sister and I both tried them on and purchased them with the quickness.

We were literally not even ten feet into the mall entrance of Sears when I said, "I want to wear mine right now." My Mom told me that it was not a great idea because we might find another pair for less and then we can return the Sears pair. I neglected to listen, completely stubborn, sat down on the mall bench and traded my tattered, grey KEDS with holes in the toes for those shiny white canvas goodies that always smelled like heaven. I remember feeling so hip, proud and on-trend. I prayed we saw friends of mine at the mall as I just knew they'd be coveting my new kicks.

No more than 15 minutes of shopping and bam...JCPenny's had white canvas KEDS on sale for $19.99. Naturally, my sister grinned from ear to ear as she kept her kicks in the box and she now had almost five more dollars in her pocket. What did I do? I sat down and cried...no actually, I bawled. To a twelve year old, five dollars is a ton of money (back then) and I was so envious of my sister's self control and willingness to listen to my Mother. It was a dark day in my fashion-loving life and a big lesson learned. One thing's for sure, you will never see this girl donning her goods until they are home.

So moving along from my tween sob story, I'd love to highlight some great everyday KEDS looks below. Taking a cue from our Chictopia Fashion Darlings via Chictopia.com, I've highlighted six looks that grabbed my attention right away. KEDS are completely coming back as they were seen all over the runway seasons ago HERE. The resurgence of KEDS kicks makes me smiling from ear to ear. Check out the looks, shop the goodies and sport KEDS for a casual, on-trend and laid back look pronto! Enjoy!

Related Posts with Thumbnails

Readers...I'd like to welcome you to my latest addiction - Chictopia! I'm totally a newbie and just getting started (so no judgments if you're a hardcore user and have this site figured out). I have spent hours perusing through all the fabulous ensembles that fellow fashion addicts have put together and I'm beyond impressed. Not just for die hard stylists, this site also caters to those just searching for inspiration or a great indie find. I'm going to be featuring some of my fave looks from time to time, so get ready for that.

Today's crew consists of six stellar dress donning ladies. It's prime weather to start sporting your favorite spring and summer dresses so I wanted to highlight some great new ways to do that. I'm going to tell you why I adore each look underneath the images below and then provide some one-stop shopping for you to grab up a new dress for under $25. You read that right...all dresses below under $25! Make sure to click on these fashonistas Chictopia blog links in the description so you can browse through their other stellar stylish looks. Also, don't be shy...Chictopia users love a good comment. Enjoy!

Annebeth

Annebeth from Antwerpen, Belgium

I love the combo of the belted maxi dress and sleek blazer. If you're scrambling for a stylish combo this season, this is an easy one to pull off. I also love her long beaded necklace and wayfarers too. Truthfully, pairing a blazer over anything is the easiest way to be on-trend right now.

Disarmingdarling

A black t shirt dress is always a classic option. Pair it with knee high, peep toe booties and a huge chunky necklace and you have yourself an easy to emulate ensemble. I also love that the version above has huge Balmain-esque shoulder pads.

Featherweight

Featherweight from Santa Cruz, CA

Talk about making a Forever 21 dress look adorable and timeless. I love how she's combined black and white stripes with a serious pop of color with those bold tights. Also, you know I'm a sucker for some oxfords and they're a perfect compliment.

Kellyshoestrings

Kellyshoestrings from Fresno, CA

Red tights, brown boots and a bold multicolored dress never looked so amazing. This combo caught my attention right away and I just knew I had to feature it. I love how the red tights and brown boots combine in a way that doesn't take any attention from the dress. Also, that thrifted belt caught my eye because I never thought of donning that style. She definitely pulls it all off impeccably.

Merina

Merina - Location Unlisted

Surprising enough, this is actually Merina's first post on Chictopia. I love how she's combined that awesome Tophop light blue denim shirt with a great floral print dress and skinny belt. Black tights and brown flats allow the look to still be worn on chilly spring days. But just substitute those two with some awesome nude sandals and you have yourself a great ensemble for warmer weather.

Paxie_aiza

Paxie_Aiza from Manilla, Phillipines

We just were chatting about the intrigue and gorgeousness of blush colored clothing so it should come as no surprise that I loved this look. From head to toe, I'm adoring it all. Be sure to click on her style book above as she has so many enticing, gorgeous and easy to emulate fashion choices. A stylish woman, indeed!

Readers...I'd like to welcome you to my latest addiction - Chictopia! I'm totally a newbie and just getting started (so no judgments if you're a hardcore user and have this site figured out). I have actually spent the last few days perusing through all the fabulous ensembles that fellow fashion addicts have put together and I'm beyond impressed. No, not just for the die hard stylists, this site also caters to those just searching for inspiration or a great indie find. I'm going to be featuring some of my fave looks from time to time. Today's crew consists of six stellar ensembles that all incorporate a fun printed summer skirt. I look I'll be emulating pronto.

Let me first of all give you these fashonistas page links so you can browse through their other stellar stylish looks and leave some comments. Chictopia users love some commenting:

Pretty, frilly, fancy and fun...print skirts are perfect to don all summer long. Short and sweet or longer and poufy, you just can't go wrong. The best thing about this article of clothing...it's transitional. You can still sport it during fall, winter and spring too. Just pair it with your fave thigh-high boots or your favorite tights. There are so many equisite ways to wear a printed skirt, so I thought some 'real women' inspiration would be the easiest way for you to see how to style it all yours. Enjoy and make sure to breeze through my speedy-savvy-stylin' below...all skirts under $100. So worth every transitional penny!

Chictopia Fashion Darlings - Inspirational Street Style

Readers...I'd like to welcome you to my latest addiction - Chictopia! I'm totally a newbie and just getting started (so no judgments if you're a hardcore user and have this site figured out). I have actually spent the last few days perusing through all the fabulous ensembles that fellow fashion addicts have put together and I'm beyond impressed. No, not just for the die hard stylists, this site also caters to those just searching for inspiration or a great indie find. I'm going to be featuring some of my fave looks from time to time. Today's crew consists of six stellar ensembles that I will be emulating pronto.

First up, Frickys adorable look is fun, playful but tailored with the addition of the boyfriend blazer. I love the LAYERED CHAINS and her OVERSIZED BAG is perfect for a day out shopping. Jetaimelovely is the next fashion darling who caught my eye. Her own quote made me laugh on this aptly named Floral Friday look, 'I should wear red lipstick more often. I think I'd feel cooler.' Yep, love her already. Plus...her distressed denim and STRAP HAPPY sandals are such a nice touch.

NASTYGAL (upper right) has got some serious style and guess where girlfriend hails from...right here in the bay area (woot woot!) I had a hard time choose WHICH look from her lookbook to post. In the end, her adorable ANKLE CUFF sandals grabbed my eye and her minimal accessories and perfect layering are so chic. Moving on to WickedPlumVintage (bottom left) as I just adore a good floral with boots and this look is styled supremely well.

Jujubabyy looks smashing in her cropped SEQUINED jacket. Her nameplate necklace is oh so fly like Lauren Conrad and her grey T and minimal black bottom half draw your eyes upward. (PS - lady is wearing her colors proudly as she's an LA fashionista supporting her Lakers in the Finals...lovin' it!) Lastly, Noirohio caught my attention right off the bat...although I don't have tattoos, I kind of think they're badass. Mix those daring gams with some impeccable personal styling and that would be her!

Pssst, she's got a blog...definitely an intoxicating/fashionable lady I'll be keeping an eye on! Enjoy and become inspired via Chictopia's Fashion Darlings! Also, if I were to add some pieces to my wardrobe as a result from the inspiration I got from the above six fashionable ladies...naturally, here they are:
